  1. No they have not. Saw a 100k+ 2015 GM yesterday with complete failure, sounds like shit, exact same as my 2008 Suburban failure.
  2. Let me know what you find, as I am going to be going in for the same issue as all of you. Is this something GM is covering outside of bumper to bumper warranty?
  3. Glad I could motivate you to get their kit! I ran my 37s without regear for about 30K miles. No reason to regear IMO. And I towed heavy metal car trailers and big cars like Crown Vics, Tahoes, etc. My two cents I would have your front bumper color matched or get a replacement bumper. You have a beautiful color, and all these black accessories and trim, and then a random chrome front bumper. I'm going to be ordering this kit again for another 2014 I purchased. Glad it is working out for you.
  4. Interested in doing the DL3 to DQS but it looks like mirrors will be nearly 800 for the pair. Has anyone had documented success with an aftermarket alternative? I currently have an LTZ with indicator, puddle light, power fold, memory, and not sure on heated. Is there an aftermarket that retains power folding? I understand if I lose the memory function. Links to successfully purchased aftermarket/ebay sets are appreciated.
  5. Raceline Rampage 20x9 +20 I believe There is a guy on reddit who claims he has a 6" with 37s and no bumper cuts. He has posted pics but I cant wrap my head around that working. But supposedly that can be done as well
  6. great looking ride. Just wanted to update everyone. Will roll 20K miles on my truck tomorrow. No problems whatsoever. I had made probably 8 long distance (500-800 miles) towing trips with this lift and these tires, towing a steel car trailer and heavy cars (Crown Vics), No problems, power is still there, no complaints. Have not rotated tires or anything in the 12K+ miles, and wear is even. My only complaint, which is hardly a complaint, is at full crank while turning, it is like the angle the tire is at is too 'sideways'. So when you are turning at full crank, it is like the truck is skipping or not turning smoothly. Really don't know how to describe it, and it isn't as bad as that description sounds. I am only running 12.50 wide tires, so wider tires might fix that. On an overnight test drive with a 2500HD Denali, but I'll put it this way, I like the kit enough and have been happy enough that if I get the new truck, I will buy their kit again for it.
  7. Blackout07, does that mean there will be issues going back stock? Atx, i had a paint shop remove it all, properly prep and paint it.
  8. i have not. debating it. the truck pulls fine, i can still chirp tires, and just did a 8 hour road trip with 4 passengers and the truck is still great on the highway. i cant remember my factory gearing (3.08 or 3.42, lost window sticker), so i cant do the calculation to correct distance traveled to get my MPG, but honestly i dont see a need to regear, unless it could be done to the extreme of allowing it to go back into 4cyl mode on the highway; which i highly doubt. i would regear for MPG but then when you take the cost of doing a regear, and do the math for the gas savings, it would probably take too long to make it an overall financial savings to be worthwhile, unless it increased MPG a ton.
  9. thanks for the kind words yall. open to any criticism or suggestions as well of course, besides why lift a 2wd Straight bolt on. it is essentially the same kit for a 4wd, but with extra parts for the front differential drop, etc. When it is done on a 4wd. there is cutting i believe for the differential brackets, but it is a straight cut, not anything complex. here are some additional photos ill add to my OP as well:
  10. Seems like a lot of issues are firmware issues for the touchscreen things. As far as the issues with throttle, brakes, etc, these aren't issues I feel whatsoever, even with higher stress on the brakes and throttle response (massive tires). As far as the headlights, why wouldnt you have bought the Silverado if you dont like the GMC clip? My truck, stock and with the multiple lifts and tire sizes, is butter smooth with the 4-8 cylinder transitions. Honestly sounds like your truck has some bugs and issues, but I recommend you find a friend with the same truck and drive, and see if you have the same issues. If not, then lemon law your truck. My best friend successfully did it with his 2014 Silverado due to a seat issue, and has another SIlverado and couldnt be happier.
  11. Upgraded my 6" suspension lift with 35s to a 9" suspension lift on 37s. I was going to add a 3" body lift on top of the 6", but decided against it because I really wanted to add a grille guard to my truck, and that can't be done without custom brackets on a body lift. Plus the negatives of a body lift aren't appealing. Went with a McGaughys 9" suspension lift. Had a 5" drop on my 2007 Escalade from them, and was happy with the quality. Plus their kits are made in 'Murica, so that's a huge plus for me. Ordered from http://www.mcgaughys-suspension.com/ , great guys and treated me right. Shout out to Sean (I think that's the right name) who made it all happen. The truck: 2014 Silverado 1500 2WD 5.3L V8 9" McGaughys Suspension Lift 37x13.50x20 Toyo Open Country Mud Terrains 20" Raceline Wheels Vehicle rubs on the front lower splitter at certain angles; will be removed. My biggest concern is the rear tires are now wider than the rear wheel well opening. So now we I tow again and the truck squats as normal, it isn't going to work. Suggestions on how to prevent this issue? Thinking helper air bags. Suspension lift is solid, drives excellent. Tires are quiet for their size (I am a Nitto/Toyo tire man for life), with no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend the lift kit. Yes I know I am missing a center cap. EDIT: Some comparison photos added

where did you get the kits
  13. Do you have any shots that are like chest or waist height from the side? curious to see how the gap looks. but it looks like you have gap covers, is this true? Also, how did you run the bull bar mounted to the frame with the body lift?
