Cayenne metallic pictures??
C. Charles Hahn replied to kovs's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
According to the GM order guide it is; and you can build one in the configurator on GMC's site. Haven't seen any pics of a green A/T yet, though. -

True, though they did replace a few colors this year already (the new Emerald Green is in, Stealth Gray is out, for instance). I count 6 colors currently available with GAT. Denali is far more restricted. -

I sure hope they make this color available with the Sierra A/T package by the time I'm ready to order myself a new truck next summer... just found a couple rendered pics of an orange A/T and I think I may be in love... -
How-To: Heated Steering Wheel Install GMT900 Sierra.
C. Charles Hahn replied to Trav_13's topic in How-To
Hey Charlie, Completely missed this post...sorry about that...I always try to use those Craftsman pick tools....I use the straight one with the point on the end....I don't know which tool you are using but I always have trouble with the allen wrenches...are you installing the Heated Wheel also? Nah, not the heated wheel, I'm changing out the audio control switch pod on the steering wheel. I'm still waiting to see if a wheel without the wood becomes available before doing that upgrade (who knows, I might decide to get a wheel with the wood and just paint it black before next winter hits ) I'll have to give one of those pick tools a shot; I tried both an allen wrench and a piece of welding rod the same diameter as the hole in the shroud, and neither one worked on the left side clip. -

OK, Travis. I was trying to get my air bag off today and the left side clip wouldn't release. Is there some trick to this I'm not doing right? -
Disable Seat Belt Chime Nanny
C. Charles Hahn replied to wescollins's topic in 1999-2013 Silverado & Sierra 1500
I can't believe people are so quick to go messing with the vehicle's safety systems. In this case it's probably not a big deal, but either way I wouldn't recommend it. Seriously, it's NOT that hard to be safe and wear a seatbelt when in the vehicle. Not only is it illegal not to, it could get you killed if you're in a crash without wearing one. -
Gmt900 4wd Gauge Light Adapter
C. Charles Hahn replied to cgalford's topic in 1999-2013 Silverado & Sierra 1500
So by having the LED in the cluster, you're saying that the LEDs in the 4WD switch itself are now dimmer than they were before installing the new module? -

Very true.... if the parts have never been apart before or if you're not used to tearing GM vehicle interiors apart, those clips are a major pain. Once you've done it the first time and/or if you tear apart these type of assemblies on a regular basis they're not too bad. -

If you don't have a heated wheel, you'll need a new SIR coil. -

Chris, got the third part of that install video up yet? I'm just waiting to see that, then I'll probably place my order. -

You would probably have to get lucky and find someone selling it off a truck they changed gauges in to something else.... -

You can drive in Auto all the time if you want. It is stupid for GM not to put an indicator. I have left mine in auto for a few days because I forgot about it after driving in the snow. Well, there IS an indicator, it's just harder to see than it was in any previous GM trucks. -
Gmt900 4wd Gauge Light Adapter

What about using two LEDs of red and green. You could use each individually to make the red and green, and both together to form yellow. Just a thought. Now THERE'S an idea I like! Red and green dimmable LEDs.... 4AUTO gives full-voltage green, 4HI half-voltage green and red, 4LO full-voltage red to keep the intensity consistent. -

If you wear latex/nitrile gloves while you work it should prevent smudges/fingerprints.... -

What about an LED in one of the two available positions that can light up with two different colors (double pole LED with three pins)? Just throwing ideas out there.
