OEM Denali headlight swap with SLE 2018
cmatt replied to Kay11's topic in 2015-2019 Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon Mods
Just sent you a PM. -
The factory Silverado mirrors won’t fit the sail pieces where it attached to the door are different. Your options are aftermarket tow mirrors, an aftermarket mirror that closely mimics the regular truck mirrors and factory Escalade mirrors. If a tow mirror isn’t needed, my recommendation hands down is the Escalade mirrors. I love them on my Yukon. The larger mirror size is perfect and looks appropriate to the vehicle. It will be plug and play since you currently have DL3 mirrors. Note that some do come with a camera that won’t be active.

OEM Denali HID on Yukon SLT
cmatt replied to mikejones68's topic in 2015-2020 Suburban/Tahoe & Yukon/Yukon Denali
I purchased a set of factory HID headlight assemblies to swap in and built a custom harness that addresses the wiring differences. I’ve since sold that vehicle, but did remove those items to put it back to stock. I have both lights and the harness in good condition available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Agreed. Likely a bad module. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
2015 Suburban Heated Steering Wheel Swap
cmatt replied to BShurilla09's topic in 2015-2019 Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon Mods
That does seem odd. To be sure I understand, you swapped the clockspring as well and have continuity on the LIN Bus wire all the way through? Was the correct heat connector already present in your dash harness? I'd swap back in the original wheel (and keep the new clockspring) to isolate where the issue may be. -
Interior: OEM driver side a-pillar with handle
cmatt replied to cmhorns's topic in 2015-2019 Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon Mods
Check behind your existing LH A pillar trim for the bolt mounting holes first. They most likely aren’t there. I don’t believe the SUVs were offered with a handle on the driver’s side. So you’ll have to order one for a truck. It will fit, but likely won’t attach securely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
2015 Sierra Denali side mirrors on a 2015 YukonSLE
cmatt replied to aceroc's topic in 2015-2019 Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon Mods
Phil and I compared ours. Mine - suv; his- truck. The sail piece is different. Next time you park close to a 2014-2019 truck, compare that section of the mirror. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
2019 Tahoe Heated Steering Wheel Upgrade Troubles
cmatt replied to Mikekix's topic in 2015-2019 Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon Mods
You just need to add the wiring from that LH dash fuse block to the connector on the clock spring and to ground. The 2015-2020 full size suvs use the same fuse and junction blocks throughout the platform. The circuit is energized in the run/crank position. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
@pgamboa, I don't mean to insert SUV talk into this truck thread, but wanted to add some info for those that have asked about it. As I'm sure Phil has mentioned previously, there is no factory version of the illuminated handles on a Silverado/Sierra. Make sure you touch base with him via his website at www.harnessdr.com to discuss your options. This is a factory option on the Escalade SUVs. To add them to a Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon, there's wiring in the cabin and doors to verify and add. It certainly can be done (I've added them to my Yukon) and there's a couple different ways to go about it. To avoid confusion with having SUV info in this thread, send me an email to [email protected] and we can discuss the details for your specific SUV application. Thanks, Matt

Chevy Tahoe power folding mirror upgrade
cmatt replied to Jdandurand's topic in 2015-2019 Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon Mods
Yep, that’s correct. Swap the mirror switch on the driver side and the correct passenger window switch to enable the power fold feature. This works for vehicles with seat memory. For vehicles without, the passenger window switch isn’t needed. Additional wires have to be landed in the door connectors on the body side. I make a harness that will enable the puddle, turn signal, driver auto dim and, if needed, passenger fold functions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Ability to add Hill Decent?
cmatt replied to EXSlider400's topic in 2015-2020 Suburban/Tahoe & Yukon/Yukon Denali
It appears your vehicle may already have it...or what it’s evolved to - Powertrain grade braking. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
2015 Silverado with HUD retrofit/upgrade.
cmatt replied to Viktorrocks15's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Victor’s correct. I’ve got a crack in the middle of my HUD on my Yukon and it doesn’t effect the display. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
