  1. I posted this in Towing section but am getting no replies, maybe someone here has some input? I've got a 2008 GMC 2500HD 4X4 with the 6.0l and 3:73 gears. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a huge difference between the two gear ratios, as in towing performance and difference in RPM at cruising speed on the highway. I live in SouthWest British Columbia and anywhere I go camping requires pulling my 5000lb RV and 4 dirtbikes in the back of the truck up steep grades. I got the truck late last year and so far have only used the truck in this scenario (and with the A/C on) once and so far wasn't too impressed. Not sure if my expectations are too high? Would it be worth replacing the gears? what would be a rough estimate as to cost of replacing gears? thanks, Andy
  2. 97 litres actually equals 25.6 US gallons as there is 3.78 litres per US gallon. Just sayin'
  3. my 2008 Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab is leaking too, but mine seams to be coming from under the small shark fin antenna that's mounted on top of the cab. The manager at a local body shop says he sees this with all makes of vehicles that have this antenna on top of the cab and says that the seal eventually dries out and allow water in. On my truck the water got in there and ran down the front pillars and soaked the driver's side floor all the way to the rear seat. I just bought my truck 2 months ago but it must have been leaking for awhile because the module under the seat was all corroded and caused my airbag to deploy. Luckily GM is going to replace the airbag and related parts because there was a recall for this issue, but I have to repair the leak first and have them confirm that the truck doesn't leak anymore.
