  1. I beg to differ on ALL of that.. The build quality of the 900's will never be as solid as the 800's. With fuel economy requirements and such, the thinner and lighter materials make it impossible. In my opinion, the 800 series trucks are the best trucks GM has put out to date.
  2. What you're saying makes sense if someone was thinking of lifting a truck specifically to plow. There's little to no benefit to doing that. However, if someone had a lifted truck and wanted to plow their driveway or something, perhaps fabbing something would be cheaper then buying another rig. And no doubt if I were to fab something, it would be completely removable.
  3. I've asked this question myself. I have no time to plow for any source of income, but if a plow came along for the right price, I might try to fab something to work with my truck. Knowing what I know about plow technology (semi-limited), my plan of attack will involve lowering the carton and making a triangle brace out of some pretty beefy steel.
  4. Mine doesn't work in the driver's side either, and I know it's a genuine GM key. Something in the cylinder just isn't lining up right because if I wiggle it around, it'll unlock sometimes.
  5. I don't think GM has offered any solutions to this issue besides telling you to purchase a new cover. I've heard of several people here locally using the JB Weld method successfully. It's worth a shot if it can save you the cost of a new transfer case!
  6. Hmm. I'll give the clay bar a shot and then hit it with some Meguires 3-step wax. Thanks guys!
  7. Hey do any of you guys with white trucks notice what appear to be like little rust spots on your truck sometimes? I noticed one the other day and upon further inspection, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. I tried washing the truck really good with my usual car soap/water. I tried a quick wash with dish detergent because I wanted to strip the old wax anyway. I even tried a little rub with some gas and then a rinse with water and they didn't go away. I'm curious as to how they got there to begin with. My only thought was that some time during the summer I got some kind of liquid fertilizer on my truck when the fields get sprayed. Any thoughts?
  8. Where the hell were you 8 months ago when he needed this info?
  9. Haha small world. I've seen your truck driving around here! I live over in CherryHill off of Gougar.
