  1. Obviously GMC-AT and I look at things a bit differently but there's some mutual respect between the chrome/no chrome camps. GMC...I think you had tried the 3M paint defender with similar results as me. Utter junk. You may be well served in the long run going with some paint protection film. I've had it on my last three vehicles and just got the entire front end, sans-lower bumper, covered last week. That'll really help with road rash on your painted surfaces. I would estimate around $800 for your hood, fenders, upper and lower bumper. If you go that try to get them to throw in the door cups and door edge guards. Usually they'll have enough excess to fit those in to the sheet. I haven't been able to get the painted grille surround done yet but my guy said the template should be updated in the next couple of weeks to include that piece.
  2. No regrets, whatsoever, but I specifically wanted chrome bumpers. There was simply no way I would want to deal with the road rash on a painted bumper and I've made use of the steps in the rear more times than I can count now....okay, 36.
  3. Yep, I second the feelings on white. My first truck was a '95 Chevy K1500 Z71 in white...with a blue interior. Had a white '03 Trailblazer after that, '08 Silver Birch Silvy, then most recently a '11 white Camaro. Honestly, I almost bought a white LTZ Z71 loaded '14 Silvy then really took a shine to the truck I bought. But...I decided to lease this go-round as I'm afraid the dark color may wear on me allowing me to get back into something white in a few years.
  4. So you opted for the chrome bumpers also? I don't think it's an over abundance with the iridium.
  5. The SLT has a heated/cooled seat option. Mine is an SLT, but the All Terrain seats are heated only. There is no cooled seat option in the AT.
  6. These are not the best pictures, and I only got one with the pinstripes (while at the dealership). The first two shots are when it was unloaded from the truck. All in all, I really like the color. The 20" AT wheels are a great match with Iridium. It looks somewhat different in various lighting conditions. Most of the time it's a deep gray, but other times you get the hit of the red fleck making it slightly purple (but not exactly purple). The only downside I've found about the AT package, and it's minor, is the lack of cooled seats. It was damn hot today in Oklahoma!

  8. Well, I did it! Just got home a couple of hours ago with an Iridium Metallic SLT All Terrain! So far, I'm really liking the color...will be removing the pin stripes (sigh) and dealer decal tomorrow with pics to follow.
  9. Having never owned a darker vehicle, that's my fear. Looks like I'll be keeping my eye out for a quicksilver AT around here.
  10. I was originally going to order a Quicksilver AT package truck, but recently had the chance to see the AT in iridium metallic. I'm wondering if anyone has owned or does own a vehicle in this color that can speak to it's ability to keep clean, swirl marks / scratches, etc.
