  1. A shorter antenna should work fine for FM reception where the wavelengths are much shorter than AM. The factory antenna has to account for AM as well as FM so that's why the length is what it is. The lower the frequency, the longer the antenna required. Submarines used to tow an antenna hundreds of feet long.
  2. Stock 275/55/20 5.3-3.73 4L60 towing 6300lb wet weight travel trailer at 65mph. usually get 8-9 mpg. Worst was 6.5 mpg with 40mph headwind.
  3. I wonder if that's the same color as the C7 floating around? The truck pictures show it much better
  4. I'm not sure if this can apply to our trucks because I haven't had to change a tail light bulb yet. One time in another vehicle I experienced similar havoc that was due to both filiments in a 1157 bulb fusing together. I had changed many 1157 bulbs over the years but never saw the filiments fuse together. It caused all kinds of problems with lights and signals. I'd look to see if our tailights share a single bulb for tail light and brake light. Just a wild guess
  5. I got 120K out of a 91 700R4. Would have easliy gotten more but the pump started to leak and since replacing the pump required removal I decided to rebuild it anyway. Too bad it thru a rod 2k miles later
  6. Had to replace the passenger side actuator on my 08 with 11K on it last week. When I brought it in I was told "We replace these all the time" I hope the other one goes out before next July.
