  1. Well, sorta. I did the swap with white LEDs and 560 ohm resistors on everything in the cluster, 4wd switch, a/c controls, and headlight switch. But, I am thinking of redoing everything in green and going with some 650 ohm resistors because I still have to dim the dash so far down at night that it is hard to see my DIC or my aftermarket trans temp gauge. I was wondering if the 650 ohm resistors would work.
  2. You know, I was happy with my truck being dirty until I read this thread. You made me feel so guilty, I had to go spend 4 hours washing, polishing, compounding, waxing, and buffing my ride, and I still dont think it looks as nice as yours. Very nice ride.
  3. OK, I realise its been a while since anyone has poted on this thread, but Im hoping someone can help me out. I was wanting to convert over to some white LEDs in mine, or maybe green, and was wondering if these are the ones I needed. http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/component-leds/5mm-white-led-360-degree-viewing-angle-4500-millilumens/341/1288/#images Also, which resistor will I need? My eyes are a little sensative to light at night, so would it be alright to run the 560 instead of the 470, or do I need a completely different one? Finally, does anyone have any pictures of either of those colors installed?
  4. Ok, i cleaned the sensor and reinstalled everyrhing. Cleared out the code and drove 10 miles home. Scanned it again but still pulled the same code. Now what?
  5. OK, now a bearing question. I was looking on Rock Auto and there are a huge list of hubs to choose from. Were the factory hubs AC Delco, or made by someone else? Ive seen several times where another company makes the part and its just rebadged as AC Delco and marked up, when the exact same part is labeled by the manufacturer for half price or less. Out of Timken, Moog, Raysbestos, or SKF, which brand would you choose. They also list AC Delco, but they are almost double. Is it worth it, or just a factory part markup. Just to be clear, Im not throwing parts at it. I was just looking at part prices in case the ticking was the hub.
  6. OK, got the sensor out and noticed some rust on the contact. Cleaned it off and after reinstalling, I noticed a tick when i rotated the hub coming from the hub/knuckle assembly. Tried getting the hub off to isolate it and see if that was the noise, but I dont have a socket big enough for that nut on the axel. What size is that btw?
  7. Swung by the mechanics shop this afternoon, just to have him check my hubs for slack. i would have done it myself, but I was in a hurry and didnt want to get dirty. He checked the hubs for slack, and said they feel tight. He said he has had to replace both sides of his truck 3 times (2007 2500 Duramax w/ 90K) I hope I have better luck than he does. So, Im gonna run back up to the shop tomorrow and see if I can clean the sensor any. I did get the truck burried up in some sticky mud a few weeks ago. Could that be the problem. Im not getting any slack or any noise from the hub bearings. Does that mean its OK or could it be jhust startingto go bad? I only ask becaus Ive never replaced one before, but after paying $700 to have the other replaced, Im gonna try to get it replaced if I can do it in my driveway with a socket set.
  8. Didnt realize the bearing itself would cause this code. I figured it would be going sometime soon though. Had the right side replaced at 90K, and figured I wouldnt get too much firther on the other one. Got 20K out of it though. Ill check the contact surface and stuff first though.
  9. Im trying to avoid throwing parts at it. I was wondering if there was any other fixes beside replacing parts. Maybe I should have reworded my question. What are some common issues that will throw a code like this, and are there any easy fixes? Ive never worked with a speed sensor so Im not sure if it is servicable, or if its something you cant get to because its inside the hub assembly. im kinda hoping that someone on here has had this code before, and I would like to hear how they fixed it. On a related note, what does this sensor actually control, and is it safe to drive on with a faulty sensor?
  10. The code is for a left side, front speed sensor fault. That is per the code explanation list on this site and others.
  11. I keep getting the C0035 code. Is there a way to fix the speed sensor without replacing the whole hub assembly?
  12. That was a 3" BL. It was a sweet looking truck, but unfortunately he sold it a while back.
  13. Since the camper doesnt have a clear coat on it, I decided to remove it to get the rst of the truck polished and waxed up.
