  1. "They build what sells." OR They build what dealers order and maximizes profits.....and people buy what are on the lots. I have run into a "lot" of people that had no idea you could still buy a regular cab because there are none on the lots for people to see that aren't long bed work trucks. But anyway.....not to get off topic. I just hope they still make them in the new model.
  2. I sure hope there is a place for a regular cab short bed in their plans. I love my '22 and '16. I hope they continue to make them available in the states. Here in the last year or so I have seen more and more people talking about them and buying them again....good sign!
  3. It will be interesting to see if they go back to the square wheel wells again. I have gotten more used to it than I was at first, but I would be all for going squared off again.
  4. It does look a lot like an Equinox in that color doesn't it....lol
  5. It's not what I was excepting, but I think it will look good on the Silverado. Lakeshore Blue Metallic
  6. I decided to try the 3 inch Race Ramps and use a step stool to refill it. I think that will do that trick and just leave it on the ramps the whole time.
  7. I don't think you were the only one to be confused by the way I worded it......those words are very similar. I think a step stool for adding the oil is a great idea! The oil filler tube on these trucks is way back from the front of the truck when they are on ramps.
  8. I hardly think at 5' 11" 145 pounds that's my problem...lol I just like a little room to move under there, I have used ramps for oil changes since I was 16 years old.
  9. I can get the oil filter off easy enough, but the oil plug is almost in the center of the truck and I don't have enough clearance to reach it without raising the truck some.
  10. That's me! This is the first time I have ever had a 4X4 and it wasn't a Z71. Reckon I don't have to worry about neutral...lol Thanks!!
  11. You might have a good point about the ramps! I use the Race Ramps 10 inch version....maybe I could get by with less. https://www.raceramps.com/ramps/race/p/rr-xt-2/
  12. I can't get to the oil plug without the ramps or I wouldn't use them at all....would be a lot simpler without them. The oil cap is really far back on the new truck, it is a long reach even without it being on ramps.
  13. I have not tried this, but this is the video I watched that shows them putting it in accessory mode and changing it.
  14. I have a 2022 4WD Silverado that I am fixing to do the first oil change on and I need to know if I have to put the transfer case into neutral to roll it off the ramps? The truck is too tall to reach the oil filler until I back it off the ramps...on my 2WD 2016 I just turn the ignition to accessory then put the shifter in neutral and roll off.....can I do that in the 4WD or will I need to put the transfer case in neutral as well? Thanks!
