I assume that it's just a placeholder until GM roll's out super cruise across their lineups. The current GM system is camera only whereas Ford/Chrysler have a radar based system. Ever since I got my F150, I was ruined by the ACC. I use it everywhere, I think I'm forgetting how to drive when I switch back to my other vehicles, haha.

That's sounds pretty typical for a properly locked 4WD system. When turning, your front tires/rear tires (as well as side to side) will rotate at different rates. When you engage 4wd, the system is physically locked, forcing the tires to turn at the same rate, even when they don't want to. Thus, the system binds when you are trying to turn very sharply. This is why 4wd hi should only be used when you are on a slippery surface and the tires don't have enough traction to bind up the system.

Best way to remove Corsa muffler intact?
DanMan_S replied to 02SOMWS6's topic in 2014-2019 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust
I had the exactly same issue when I did mine. Torch on the outer side of the sleeve, then take a chisel, park it right on the edge of the outer pipe, and hit it with a mallet. Eventually you can work the muffler back off. I also used ratchet straps to help pull the pipe and the muffler in opposite directions while doing this. -
Need help, racing a 5.3 vs 6.2
DanMan_S replied to 02huntingracetruck's topic in Racing, Strip, & Track
How big is your truck relative to his? IE, crew cab, box, etc? Temporarily remove the passenger and rear seat, leave your spare tire and tailgate at home, etc. Anywhere you can take out weight, do it. Launch in 4hi for traction with a brake stand. -
Although in the Camaro's case, it was bringing them up to spec with the rest of the Corvette/truck lineup, IE, getting the new direct injection V8's.

2015 GMC Sierra Frame Replacement
DanMan_S replied to Rhinomike's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
My local GM dealership has replaced the frames on BRAND NEW UNSOLD TRUCKS, so nothing about that even surprises me. -
First time changing spark plugs need help
DanMan_S replied to Arctic_fox's topic in 1999-2013 Silverado & Sierra 1500
Yah, they are trying to pull one over on you! For the plugs, I replaced mine with NGK, 44 bucks for all 8. For the plugs, I upgraded to MSD wires with koolsox because of my headers. The MSD plug wires were around 100 bucks for the entire set. All in, I did the entire upgrade for under 200 bucks, including beer. -
Shake or Vibration Issues
DanMan_S replied to Silver space ship's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
I'm one of those people that have experienced this exact situation. I've test driven five 2015 and 2016 GMC Sierra's and everyone had a bad vibration. I don't know what amount is unreasonable, but I do know that my 7 year old Silverado had a silky smooth ride compared to these new ones. And that scared me out of upgrading, I'm just not going to take a chance on having to fight with the dealership or GM on the vehicle, especially since we don't have lemon laws up here in Alberta. If I had experienced a truck that didn't have an issue, it may be a different story, but I haven't seen one yet. -
It'd be nice to be able to nudge the transmission into different gears as you need. My 6 speed makes shifts at the weirdest times. I'll be passing someone on the highway, it'll kick down, and then it'll rapidly shift up...and then shift back down again...while my foot is on the throttle the entire time. And this is in tow/haul mode, with a tuned transmission.
