  1. Since I'm challenged when it comes to pics. It's the ruby red metallic, garnet i would call it. Crew cab short box 4X4 5.0 with 3.31 gear, could have maybe gone with the 3.55 but i had just found out after waiting 6 months the truck ordered for me was junk. If I was Ford I'd put a supercharger on the 5.0 and match up to the 6.2. My pissed off level was off the charts after test driving the truck I waited 6 months for. Ford sticker was 59, Sierra sticker was 54, traded for 9. Screwed or not at this point i don't care, hated the vibrating no head light sierra and when the new one finally showed up it vibrated worse then the 2 previous ones. I knew I was done with gmc. For comparison sake, engine goes to gm, the 6.2 is king, seats go to Ford, better lumbar for me at least. Rear seat area, no comparison, Ford. Console area and overall buttons, etc. I give to gm, I've had them so long just know where everything is. Camera system, Ford. Overall feel, Ford, just feels solid, close the doors, just has the thud. Maybe the alum is thicker I don't know, just feels more substantial. Driving quality, Ford, it doesn't vibrate. I'm sure some will flame and tarnish, go ahead, unless you have lived with this for a year, you don't know, and GM doesn't know, how totally pissed off people get. Probably lost a lifetime friend over these 3 trucks but I won't go back and I am steering my 3 boys away from GM, but in the end, GM doesn't care, they never did.
  2. Traded my POS today, officially a Ford owner, good luck everyone, and if anyone from GM ever reads these posts. Thanks For Nothing. I have made sure my 3 sons know all about the great GM support I had over the 13 months it took for me to finally bite the bullet and dump the pig.
  3. Well after 6 months my ordered Sierra arrived to replace my second vibrator, interior color wrong, sun roof that was not ordered, spray in box liner which wasn't ordered, sticker $2,000 higher then the order sheet. And, you guessed it, vibrates worse then the POS I have now. Dealing with 2 Ford dealers and with a little luck will be rid of GMC and their POS trucks for the rest of my life in just a few days. UnFing believable, 3 in a row.
  4. Bingo, we have a winner! Over time every nut, bolt, weld, hinge, etc. is going to be compromised by a constant vibration. Pieces we haven't thought of will be affected. Think of how these are assembled with all the plastic parts simply held in place by clips. These trucks are real life rolling stress tests and the manufacturer is hardly paying for the research. Brilliant on their part don't you think?
  5. Never tried it because it was smooth as glass, no reason to. But I had a GM engineer in the second truck with his pico scope and we both watched the vibrating water bottle.
  6. I had a Maxima that was perfect from day one. 5 years, nothing but oil changes and tires. Had a Civic that went 8 years on original battery, put O2 sensors in after 9 years and gave it to a nephew. He has had it 2 years and put front brakes on it. Some accept inferior products, I don't. If every commercial you make touts your "Professional Grade" you damn well better live up to it.
  7. No, and I'm not going to, for $56K I expect them to be built correctly. There are other car companies that do it right, GM can to or the other companies will have our business.
  8. I did this test with my wife's 22K Sonata, no vib, water just sits there. But I've now had 2 GM trucks that do exactly what the video shows.
  9. My 14 was flawless, zero issues, traded it last may for a 15 Sil. vib in it was bad, put tires on it in Sept, balances, rotated driveshaft, no change. In Dec they buy backed me into a 15 Sierra, same vib but not as bad as the Sil. In Jan I ordered a 16 Sierra which I'm waiting for. People are still getting the vib with 16's and after a year of this I'm about at the point of washing my hands of GM and moving on. I've known my dealer my whole life and he has really stepped up for me, that's the problem for me.
  10. How bad of a beating did you take? My second buy back truck is ordered and I'm thinking of driving it straight to the Ford dealer as soon as it comes in. I had one Ford dealer tell me he really wasn't interested in my first buy back.
  11. Those of us with MULTIPLE vibrators come here hoping that someone out there one day comes up with a fix. A cure for cancer will happen before a fix for these trucks happens.
  12. I've had 2 15's both vibrated, driven 2 more, one of them vibrated, I think the 1-3 % is a fantasy. And I don't work for a car company.
  13. Do I count twice since I've had 2 of them, or am I still one of the 5 Vibe, they don't all vibe right off the lot. My first one started at 2000 miles, second one at 300, second one you can't hardly drive it in 4X4 mode.
