#1980733 Full Lock's 2004 Avalanche Z71 (beater)

Posted by Daryl Z71 on 02 May 2017 - 08:34 PM

Thanks man,
I'll sell em to ya cheap in a few months if ya want them.

I probably won't put any on this truck, I like how it looks without them, plus I don't have to worry about them eventually rotting off. Hahaha!

Replaced the CV axel and tie rods on the passenger side of the Cobalt yesterday. Now it has all new CVs, tie rods, ball joints and wheel bearings.54652d4849eca3053c4939824592c7f4.jpg18f2c2cfc1efb577b77ac810b8da031b.jpg

Looks like I have a part time job at Lowe's pending a background check and a negative drug test.

Nothing better than a hood with a built in scoop.

#1968077 Use a paper gasket on rear diff or not?

Posted by Daryl Z71 on 07 April 2017 - 09:51 AM

I currently have a paper gasket with no silicon being used on my truck with no issues. It's been on there for well over 2 years now. When I did a fluid change on the 2011 truck I use to have it had a paper gasket on it from the factory. I put the exact one back on that truck without any issues as well.

#1966700 Tough Month Of Sales For GM Pickup Trucks

Posted by Daryl Z71 on 04 April 2017 - 08:41 PM

They cost too much for me. Even if you get a deep discount the MSRP is so high now that you still end up paying mid to high $30s for a decently equipped truck. On top of that factor in the trash paint and trash frame coating, and I see no reason to pay that much for one. I've bought two brand new trucks in my short lifetime along with one brand new car, and I've never regretted anything more.

#1963732 Fender Flare Question

Posted by Daryl Z71 on 29 March 2017 - 08:14 PM

I personally have never Iiked flares on a truck without the wider wheel and tire combination to match. For example my 2006 looked horrible to me with the stock flares and stock wheels. I added wider wheels with a different offset as soon as I could afford it.

#1961080 Who has more trucks on the road....

Definitely more Chevy trucks in my area.
