A different kind of 6.2 question
SierraJoe1110 replied to SierraJoe1110's topic in 1999-2013 Silverado & Sierra 1500
Funny story. I wen to the dealer where I bought my truck, my mom bought her Envoy and my dad bought his new Sierra, just poking around. I was talking to the salesman we all dealt with and I mentioned this 6.2 dilemma. It just so happens last March he ordered a extended cab 6.2. He trades his trucks every two years and said he will give me a call when he orders his '14 and we can make a deal. I won't be forgetting that, and I guess I have a year to save my pennies! -
So I gotta know... I am always looking at the dealer inventory, never know when the new truck bug might bite. I would only trade my truck for a 6.2. I have never ever seen one fore sale in M.A. or C.T. So I gotta know, where the heck do all you 6.2 drivers live that they seem so plentiful. Its just weird that there are none around here

I have never personally raced one, but I read that 450s are faster off the line than Raptors, whether it be a 700 or 660 but the Raptor have them top end. The geometry on Raptor 660's are horrible, you cant corner hard or keep the front wheels on the ground period. I could not agree with this more, exactly what I was going to say To put what you should pay in perspective I got my 450 for 2700, from a dealer. and it was stock except for a stupid FMF pipe I took off that it wasn't jetted for. It had barely been ridden, It was in pristine condition, the underneath wasn't even scratched up.

Okay guys, So since it has been warm enough here in M.A. to ruin snowmobile season both at home and up by Mount Washington where I ride... again (apparently there is snow now, but I am aggrevated and am not spending 84.00 to ride my sled 2 weekends)...SO I'm starting to get the itch to dust off the 4 wheeler and get it ready for the spring. 06 YFZ 450, motor is completely stock except for removing the airbox lid and a re-jet. I would love to tear into the motor but exhaust modifications are illigal in N.H. where I ride a lot, and if I cant let it breath then there is no point in doing anything to it. I just added ITP Mudlights to the back, Lonestar Sprocket Protector and some off brand handguards, I don't remember the name. I have PRM A Arm and Belly skid plates on order, as well as ITP holeshot HDs for the front. I'll get a pic when I'm finished, but for now here are a couple from last year when it was bone stock. The top one is Jericho State Park in Berlin N.H. How many other ATV/Dirtbike/whatever else riders do we have on here? Post up some pics P.S. The Polaris sticker in my back window is because I have a Polaris sled, but since there seems to be less and less snow, I got this for another hobby.

SierraJoe1110 replied to TexasAl's topic in 1999-2013 Silverado & Sierra 1500
Just bought my 08 with 44,000 miles. Mines been acting up. I got the famous "we could not recreate the problem, but its been logged" when I tried to get them to replace it under the GM certified warranty. -
