  1. All due respect, I wouldn't buy a pack of gum from Walmart. Go check out a local gun shop and help support a small business. You may pay a little more but you'll get a ton of knowledge and confidence that your buying a decent piece. Also, this has imported parts on it which I personally don't like. But that's my opinion.
  2. Thank you! I really like the Leupold scopes. I think $3K is a little out of the range though LOL. Right now I am just worried about getting my lower (It has been on backorder since before Thanksgiving) in before things change and all of these parts that I have purchased are completely useless. I have been trying to just buy a generic stripped lower to have on hand incase I can't get the other just to keep as a back up and that has been near impossible. The shop I deal with won't even pick up the phone they are so busy, and when you go there people are like 8 - 10 deep trying to get in there.... It is insane.
  3. It's been a while since I first posted about looking into an AR to purchase and after months of researching I decided to build my own. Below is a list of the parts I have acquired, though I am still waiting on the stripped lower (I know the most important part but don't get me started) to arrive at the local shop. Noveske Gen 2 lower CMMG trigger group Noveske built upper with a 14.5" chrome lined barrel with pinned flash suppressor and switchblock Vltor VIS rail system Ergo hand grip Magpul MOE stock Pmags I still need iron sights, not sure what I am going with and I need to pic a range scope (looking for something nice in the $300 ish range). I would like to be able to switch out the red dot and range scopes. I'll post pics once I have it together.
  4. Nice rifles! This is the gun I am looking at investing in next, sinkhole, since you owned a few of these (and anyone else for that matter), can you reccomend an AR brand that would be a good starting point to build off of and why? My main want mods are a red dot scope and forward had grip, but I would guess that I would make more once I bought one... Don't plan on hunting with it, just range shooting and protecting my family from the Zombie apocolypse...
  5. Your engine takes six (6) quarts. Its in the capacities and specifications sections not the oil section. Thanks Guys. After I posted I went back to the manual and found it. It is amazing what you can find when you actually slow down and READ. Lol Though to my credit GM makes this manual like it is a "Choose Your Own Ending" Book, jumping from the back to the front to the middle of the book.
  6. Where in the owners manual does it tell you how much oil is needed in your engine? I looked all over this book for the info and all I get is the viscosity breakdown.... I am about to begin doing my oil changes myself and have been looking to find out how much oil is needed in my 4.8L. My alternative is to add and keep checking with the dipstick. Knowing how much to add would be a big help.
  7. it is not a recall just a TSB and most dealers will not perform this for no charge because they don't want to get stuck with the bill if you are out of your 3/36k warranty. I had the same issue with the cloth interior TSB on my 07 GMT900 which I purchased with a GM Certified Warranty. The dealer would not perform the TSB so I called the GM warranty customer service # and told them what was going on. They contacted the dealer and within 24 hours they called me back and said the dealer would take care of it.
