  1. That unfortunately sounds like a bad lifter. I wouldn't drive it until the dealer looks at it.
  2. I just use fantastic and a scrub brush on my GM floor liners. It works great.
  3. Not much room behind the seat and its bolted to the back wall. The arrows show where the anchor points are to remove the seat back. The red are the headrest and the yellow are latches. Plus at the bottom there are 3 bolts I think as well. This is a 20 Sierra crew cab.
  4. Here is what it shows me for color choices. 7 colors. 24 Sierra SLT. It must only be the Elevation and AT4 that gets it. I went back and selected thosetrims and it's listed there.
  5. I just purchased a 24 GMC X31 which is the same as Chevys Z-71 I believe. I was saying to the sales men that the springs on the truck look different than my 20 X31 I was trading. I don't have access to my truck at this point but, I want to think mine are composite.
  6. I recently was looking to purchase a Thunderstorm Gray 1500. I've seen websites stating the color is available and saw a few pictures of the trucks online. However I could not find any around the GA area even with a search of 500 miles. Plus when you go to the GMC site and try to build one. The color is not listed to be picked. Is it on constraint or something else?
  7. Some guys call the indention in the top of the grille on the GMC a mail slot. It's got a piece of plastic that closes that gap off. Mine is lose and looks like they forgot the screws on both sides.
  8. I traded my trusty 20 Sierra in on a 24 this weekend. Nothing really wrong with it. I just had the new truck bug. I've owned it since Nov 19 and put 30,058 miles on it. Only problems I had were all 4 door lock actuators failed at different times. The rear slider leaked and was replaced by the updated version. I did not have any more leaks till the day before I traded it. I took it to he car wash and while cleaning the inside there were a few drops on the top of the glass. Other than that it was a great truck. Yes it had the #3 VIN but all my last 3 trucks have been from #3 land. The 24 is super nice since they updated the dash and infotainment screen. It seems to sit higher than my 20 did as well. Almost as high as an HD. My questions are 1) The 20 had a button to unlock all 4 doors. I know this one doesn't. However when you hit the drivers button all 4 doors unlock. Is that the way it works because on the 20 you had to hit it 2 times to unlock the rest of the doors. 2) When I opened the hood the day I went to look at it. I didn't notice the mail slot cover was loose. Am I missing the screws here to hold this firm or is it loose now so it can move around?
  9. The water you hear when you take off is water that is trapped in the doors. There are drain slots on the bottom of the doors. If they get clogged the water can't drain out. Get a small wire or screw driver and poke around those slots till the water drains. I heard water in my dads F-150 one day and when I cleared the drain hole it drained for a good minute of water.
  10. I believe it's based on the VIN as to what they install. Plus I doubt the OP told them he had a newer radio installed.
  11. Your not the 1st one that this has happened to. There should be a thread on here about it. Unfortunately the dealer does not know that you have reprogrammed anything and when they update the system it will remove the WAMS programing. I don't think the guy that this happened to was able to get his problem resolved by the dealer or WAMS. OK I went back and found the thread I was referring to. It was not for the WAMS radio upgrade but an MVI factory NAV upgrade. Although a different upgrade than yours it's the same scenario with the dealer.
  12. 1. When remote started the temp controls have stopped working and yes the controls always are left in auto. The truck controls the temp by the outside temp probe located under the passenger outside mirror. It doesn't matter what state the controls are in when the truck is turned off. I turn mine off every time I leave the truck but, when I get in from remote start the defrost is running on low (now that it's cold) before I push the start button. There should be no lights lit on the dash when running during remote started either.
  13. I agree to but, that is where everyone I saw before the refresh wanted it because Ford and Dodge were that way. With that said. I'd go for the Chevy since it's new and under full warranty without paying for an extended warranty at this time.
  14. Door lock actuator. I've had all 4 of mine replaced at different times on my 20 Sierra. The dealer receipt said it was a $700 job. Luckily I had extended warranty that covered them.
  15. No from what has been said in the past. It's a circuit board with all of the center switches attached. It only has 1 set of wires plugged into it so if you unplug it all of the switches on the center stack will not work.
