No More Z71 Sport Package??
becker87 replied to AngelPhoenix's topic in 2020-2024 Silverado HD & Sierra HD
I have the exact same truck on order! Glad to see they are out there. Still waiting, been about three months so hoping to hear something soon -
Has anybody gone aftermarket to get away from the squeaking?

Depending on where and how I’m driving makes a big difference. Around town and on back roads I will usually average mid 20s. Driving 80 on interstate i will see 19-20. Driving 65 into a 30+ MPH head wind then I’m down to 17. Haven’t gotten over the magic 30 number since I put larger tires on then stock but to get close cruising around town. 3.0L Diesel Owners Heads Up On Oíl Changes!

It's amazing how much of a difference the temperature changers my mpg. Between 40 degrees and 20 I swear it's 2 mpg in town. Maybe it's just in my head but my average always goes up on nice days Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk -

Got rid of the duratracs today and put a set of cooper AT3 XLTs on. 275/70/18. Have already seen my mileage jump back up. Duratracs are a great tire off road but just don't spend enough time there to justify the negatives Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk -
Also there are no alerts when it happens. I would guess there is an alert after the process gets interrupted after to many times to say you must drive for a prolonged period of time. I have not gotten any message like that yet and I have interrupted the process a few times but typically my next drive is long enough to complete Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

The Regen is there to burn if extra soot trapped in the exhaust system. All modern diesels have them. You may not notice every time you go through a Regen. I only notice it when my window is down or I pull into the garage and turn it off and I can smell it as i get out. Doesn't really smell bad, just different, like really hot metal as it has to heat up to over 400 degrees I believe. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

I see very similar numbers with mine at speeds above 75 but seem to get around 25-26 at 65-70. I do have larger and much heavier duratracs on mine though. Thinking of switching back to a lighter tire for summer driving. Even with the heavier tires but with this warmer weather still seeing about 22 mpg in town, granted it's small town driving Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

This is my first diesel, came from the 6.2L in my 2010. The 3.0L matches the 6.2 if not exceeded it in daily driving and highway, but it's definitely not as fun when you get on it or want to play a bit. I don't miss the premium fuel as in my area it is much more expensive than diesel. The 3.0L is downright quick in town getting around with that low tourqe. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
