  1. Nope, still waiting because it seems like prices are coming down in Canada. I still want the Trail Boss, but the withholding of options still annoys me. Another gripe is why do the RST and TB, the sporty and rugged off road trims, have fake wood trim on the interior? I could not think of a worse choice, it should be black or something with a metal look/pattern to it. Of course in the AT4 and ZR2 there is proper carbon fiber pattern trim. I guess it's a classic strategy, you're still getting hosed price wise on the lower trims, and to step up trims and get proper options, you're really bending over.
  2. Base curb weights straight from GM for a Crew Cab Short Box 4x4, lifted; w/L3B 2.7L - 5010lbs w/L84 5.3L - 5080lbs w/L87 6.2L - 5240lbs ZR2 w/L87 6.2L - 5550lbs ZR2 w/LZ0 3.0L - 5710lbs Looks like a 70lb difference between the 2.7L and 5.3L, the extra weight of the 6.2L truck is from additional standard features like bucket seats, heavier axle, etc.
  3. Yes the appearance of the Trail Boss is what draws me in, I love the black accents, too much chrome on the LTZ for me. I also happen to like the fake hood scoop, and the 18" wheels are the best looking wheel across the entire lineup IMO. I don't know why GM didn't keep in line with the two previous generation trucks where the Z71 option got you body colour bumpers and grille regardless of trim level. The Trail Boss should be an option package, not a trim level. GM makes the truck I want, it's called the Sierra AT4, I just prefer the Chevy styling.
  4. The two major sticking points for me is that you cannot get the auto dimming inside rearview mirror unless you option towing mirrors, and no availability of a power passenger seat of any kind. I believe both these items were available on the LT trim in the previous generation. Absolutely ridiculous IMO for a vehicle with a base price of $70k CAD, and over $80k with options. There are many 2023 ZR2s sitting on the lots here, makes more sense to buy one of those over a TB if you can swing a deal.
  5. I am looking to replace my 2011 LTZ and think the TB is the best looking trim on the lineup. However when configuring trucks online it seems like the TB is a very poor value in comparison to the others. Compared to a standard Z71 the only differences I can see are slightly better monotube Ranchos, the lift, blacked out trim and unique wheel/tire options. I don't know what pricing is like in the US, but here in Canada it's only $2k more to configure an LTZ Z71, and IMO you're getting alot more equipment on the LTZ. This is comparing both trucks with a 6.2L. I feel like there used to be a much larger price jump from LT to LTZ.
  6. Yes there are universal flex pipes that like one, my problem is that it's the hard pipe with the spherical ball joint connection just ahead of the flex pipe where it is broken. I would need to find the proper ball joint end to weld to these universal flex pipes, and a shop can't make one if they don't work with the pipe size. Picture attached.
  7. Has anyone else out there had to repair or replace the factory 3.5" flex pipe on their 6.2L GMT900? From what I can tell there is no replacement part made, and finding a shop that can supply or work with 3.5" pipe is challenging. It seems like my only options are to cobble something together or buy a new cat back exhaust. Do the K2 trucks use the same size flex pipe? There seemed to be more of those built with the 6.2L than the GMT900.
