  1. yeah i should have but my budget screamed ddm tuning, lol. i had a pair of trs retrofitted projectors with their hids in my old bike and they were great. the ddm stuff got good reviews so i decided to go that route. i just want to make sure the trucks harness can support the lights and that there wont be any flicker issues since theres no relay before i put in the time to install them.
  2. hey guys, just to save me from going through 190 pages worth of stuff, i have a 2015 silverado with the factory projectors, i bought the ddm kit with the error canceller box, thats what the said to use when i contacted them and i believe i read it here as well. i was surprised that it doesnt come with a relay and just relies on the power from the harness for the lights, should i use a relay or will this work fine? also theres a blue wire with a ring terminal on it, im assuming its a ground? the box had zero instructions and their webpage help section is shit to say the least. thanks
  3. buddy of mine here in the niagara falls canada area owns a shop that does custom vinyl work and hes doing 3m on the front of the hood and roof for me for 240 bucks this weekend. after the giant rust scab on the roof of my 09 after a stone chip hit it, just at the edge of the windshield, its cheap insurance
  4. you must not have leather. on days here where it hits -20c that leather is like sitting on ice cubes that seem to pierce even the thickest pants. the heated seats are nice. but heated and cooled, thats a luxury im interested in
  5. i see, i was always under the impression it would heat up the coolant a little and therefore help in producing heat a little faster. ill tuck the wire back into the engine compartment if thats the case. luckily we only get several cold nights a eyar that would require the aid of a heater of some kind here.
  6. i can vouch that the block heat erin my 06 is an utterly useless piece of shit. it was -25 here one night the other week. -20 when i went to bed, -25 in the morning. so i of course plugged the heater in assuming it would have atleast reduced the time it takes to make heat, nope, no noticable change. i was still cold for the first lag of my drive, temp guage read where it always does in the morning. maybe mine isnt connected or something. all i know is that it didnt do a thing.
  7. from what ive read on here the plug end has a blister looking thing, mine has one, thats the sensor, cut that off, put a new one on and youre all set. the thing wont kick in till its like -15 or soemthing like that. i know now it dips a few degrees below zerop and i hate getting into a cold truck. so ill likely cut mine off soon once i find a plug i want to use for it and put it on a timer in my garage. have it kick on for the last few hours in the morning or so.
