Bilstein shocks thread
Gears and Gadgets replied to yanzhixiang's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
I finally completed my 6112 & 5160 upgrade and I am pretty blown away with how much it changed the dynamics of the truck. The OEM Ranchos felt like they were all spring and no shock and were just very bouncy in general. The 6112’s added needed composure over highway and off-road. -

anyone running 275/65R18?
Gears and Gadgets replied to ct_corey's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
275/65 R18 on stock front suspension, Bilstein 5160’s on rear. No rub and look great. -
What have you done to your K2 today?
Gears and Gadgets replied to block8head's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Goodyear DuraTrac’s today. 275/65R18 and a 255/75R17 for the spare. -

I do not have any experience with the 5100’s. I just figured if I was going to pull the trigger that I may as well go for it with the 5160’s. I was also battling the mysterious “Chevy Shake” and figured I had to step it up and I don’t regret it. Funny though, my 2 year old daughter loves when I put her in the bed of the truck and I jump on the bumper, that isn’t fun anymore because the truck doesn’t rock around like a fun carnaval ride for her. -
I just installed the S&B Cold Air Intake is it is awesome. I have noticed better throttle response especially in situations like rolling on the throttle after taking turns at intersections. Previously the motor bogged down in those situations but now it comes alive.

I just installed the 5160’s on my Sierra Z71 and I LOVE them. -
I just put Bilstein 5160’s on the truck and after about 100 miles it SEEMS to have helped the vibration. I can still feel a little bit here and there but it is MUCH better. I will keep you all posted if that changes in the future.

Rancho or Bilstein?
Gears and Gadgets replied to dynoray's topic in 2015-2019 Silverado & Sierra HD Mods
I just put the 5160’s on my Sierra and I love them so far. MUCH better than the stock Rancho’s. -
Well, GM has offered me a cash & keep deal.... I guess MY fight is over. Probably going to keep it for a bit and wait to see how the 2019 Ram does after a few months on the road and how the reviews come in.

I started ThisTruckSucks.com dedicated to this problem. I’m in the middle of a lemon law claim. GM likes to say it “Meets Spec”. I think my next video is test driving Ford, Dodge, and Toyota to show how much better competition specs are. This is NOT normal and I intend on demonstrating that.

What are the odds it’s Van Chevrolet / Van Buick GMC. That’s who I’m dealing with where they pretend they have never heard of the vibration issue.

Alright guys, I am not trying to spam everyone here but I am so pissed off with this problem and seeing the 11,000+ posts on this page. I have started ThisTruckSucks.com and I would like anyone who had or has this issue to submit it on my contact page https://www.thistrucksucks.com/contact. If you don't want me to have all of your information I totally understand, but I think its imperative that we figure out how many people are dealing with this. If you want to contribute a blog post I would also greatly appreciate you sharing your story, just submit it in the contact page and answer the following questions: Year: Make: Model: Trim: # of Repair Attempts: End result: (Trade in, sold, bought back, or currently dealing with): Comments:
