  1. Here is the part number 12477699 but its discontinued.
  2. Here's some information about MAP sensors: When the ignition is on, the MAP sensor output should be around 5 volts. When the engine is off, the MAP sensor should read ambient pressure. When the engine is idling and under light load, the absolute engine working pressure (vacuum) is unchanged by elevation. A good engine idle pressure is 27 kPa. The normal pressure range of a MAP sensor is between 1 and 4 bar. If the MAP reading was at idle it should be around 7.9731 inches mercury
  3. The MAP is probably bad. https://www.obd-codes.com/p0106
  4. Someone removed the key bolts maybe stolen but regardless you will need them before an alignment can be done. Buy some new bolts and clean threads in the keys with a tap and install before you go to the alignment shop. Make sure the tech know of the situation so he can adjust "Z" height.
  5. GM would not have spent the money on them if not needed it gets hot underneath when running and can damage box paint and cargo inside while driving. Who ever undercoated the truck shouldn't have put undercoating on heat shields and they should not be removed for the undercoating.
  6. 2003 is a gen 1 and 2008 is a gen 3 so no as it would require rewiring and custom programming stay with the same engine in your truck now for simplicity and no headaches, i would suggest a GM crate engine from GM. . GM Performance crate engines are covered under the provisions of the GM Dealer Service Parts and Accessories Warranty for 24 months from the original sale or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
  7. Your going to need a bi directional s canner to properly interrogate the PCM and see what is going on, all the parts you have changed are mostly wasted money. I would think the CTS might be going bad and cannot tell if the engine is hot or cold, it tells the PCM how much fuel is needed to start a hot engine much less than a cold engine. Quit spinning your wheels and wasting money and have a shop look at the vehicle since your not able to diagnose it.
  8. Yes but there are three different hitches one for each truck #1500, #2500 & #3500 its not a on size fits all. Where did that hitch come from was it factory installed on the truck?
  9. A V5 receiver isn't correct for your 1500 truck you should be using a V4. What is the hitch rating for a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500? Class 4 trailer hitches are commonly mounted on full-size pickup trucks and SUVs. They feature a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening and generally have a weight carrying capacity up to 10,000 lbs. gross trailer weight. Most class 4 hitches can also utilize a weight distribution hitch for ratings as high as 12,000 lbs.
  10. Code P1175 Chevrolet Tech Notes The P1175 code sometimes is triggered by clogged fuel injectors. Start by using high octane fuel and/or fuel additive to clean injectors. If the problem persists fuel injectors may need to be replaced. There is a Factory Service Bulletin for all 2000-2013 Chevrolet models: 2000-2013 Chevrolet Factory Service Bulletin OBDII Code P1175 Read more: https://www.autocodes.com/p1175_chevrolet.html
  11. The best and easiest way to clean a throttlebody is to with engine off remove air intake tube at throttlebody and have wife or friend turn on ign. no starting and have operator press throttle wide open, then spray TB cleaner inside wait a little bit and use a rag to clean the surfaces. Have operator release throttle and shutoff Ign. replace ducting and start engine, no codes or high idle. This has worked for me flawlessly.
  12. Do not use oil additives such as Slick 50 or STP as they increase the viscosity of the oil and will cause the VVT to start malfunctioning.
  13. I have fixed one of my trucks and my Buick Enclave both have the same latch and if the RAP isn't working on exit its the latch where the switch is a non serviceable part, you must replace the entire latch assembly.
  14. Brake lights and tail lights are on different circuits check brake light fuses if they are good check the circuit with a tester if dead it probably will be the turn signal switch brake lights go through the turn signal switch.
  15. Yes, E10 has been used in the U.S since 1990 but consult your owners manual.
