  1. TJay is 100% correct. I have had three three trucks dynoed by Alvin, a Hummer H3, '12 Silverado, and my current '14 Denali 6.2L. He will not put a truck on the dyno, although he owns one of the best I have ever seen. He also told me he had one truck's drive shaft come apart once and messed up the truck and his dyno. I have been happy with all my tunes from Alvin, although I am considering getting a spot on Blackbear's next available tuning session to see if there is any noticeable difference. My current PCM for Less tune is 10 months old and seems like it has lost something. It may just be my imagination, but I am curious, since Blackbear evidently has a different approach to performance tuning. Personally, I don't know anyone reputable who will put a truck on a dyne today. Good luck with your decision Gregg.
  2. OK, it finally happened to me. I have Denali, 6.2, 3.42, crew cab, 6 ft bed, with 4600miles. I took delivery on Nov.7. The first time I noticed the vibration was about two months ago, when I had three other guys in the truck with me on a golf outing. I never noticed it again because I was always alone in the truck. Yesterday, my wife and mother-in-law were riding with me on a 300 mile trip. The truck vibrated consistently from 68 to78 mph. Over 80 it was pretty smooth. I have read most of this thread and still remain confused. By the way, I do have the factory chrome 22" wheels (SEY) and Bridgestone duelers. I dread going through the entire process of tire balancing, drive shaft balancing, etc.. I am convinced that tire balancing is not going to fix this vibration. The other thing is, I have never noticed it when I am alone in the truck. So I guess I am now a new member of a very unfortunate club!!!
  3. Sorry man, I have forgotten how to do it. It's been over three months since I have added anything. I'll go by my dealer and get my guy to show me again. I go down there all the time. I'll let you know. I just tried ofr ten minutes. After I turned 60 a few years ago, I realized if I don't pracice a new procedure often I wil forget it in a couple days. That's exactly what happened here.
  4. Rick, I will tell you, it was a real pain in the butt to wrap. It took my Xpel guy and me about two hours to get it done. First let me say, no I do not think it is going to be very durable, and he didn't even charge me labor for it because he didn't think it would last. First, the vinyl isn't much thicker than saran wrap so that made it much more difficult to install. It is made by Avery, which he said was one of the best products on the market. He had to use a heat gun to convince it to stick to the two grooves, at the top and bottom. We just wrapped the edges around to the back. He did put separate pieces of each end to make it look better. If it had gone on better, I would have had him to possibly cover it in Xpel also, That certainly would have made it more durable. I have enough of the film left to give it another shot when he gets time to play with it. Right now, it still looks great, but I haven't driven it except a few short errand runs here in town. I will post up if it becomes a total flop, or if we improve it to the point where I could whole heartedly recommend it. Thanks for asking, however, for now, it is still an experiment in progress.
  5. Yes, the part number for the GM fender flares is 22943041. That is a pkg of all 4 pieces in sonoma red. They list for $650 but I paid 550. You should be able to get them for that price also. The part # for the mud flaps is 22902398 and 22902408...one number is the front set and the other number is the rear set. I don't know which is which. They do not come in sonoma red. They only come in 5 colors, black, victory red, silver, oxford white and white diamond. The painter told me to get victory red, they would be easier to cover. The part numbers I have listed above are for victory red. My painter did an excellent job with mine. They are a real pain in the back side to install, but they look perfect!. I worked with the technician at the dealership installing them. It took both of us working together about 2 hours. The finished result is fantastic. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow when the weather breaks. In case you are interested, the part # for the driver's assist handle is 22864517. This is the number required to match the cocoa dune interior. Good luck with your mods, OJ
  6. No, Iordered them from the GMC dealer. They are as smooth as the paint finish. They were pricey, but much nicer than painting them yourself, unless you put an awful lot of time and work in smoothing and preping them. They actually cost me $550 plus tax, plus $100 for installation. They are tricky to install properly. I ws there assisting the technician the entire time. It took us two hours. They are perfect, and definitely add something to the truck. For me personally, worth every penny!
  7. Anthony, I have the exact same OEM wheel and tire setup as Mike does. I also have the 2" level kit installed in the front, and I can honestly tell you it rides like a dream. My wife would even tell you it rides as good as her '11 E350 Mercedes. She just said that to me last week. My Denali rides as good as anythiing I have ever owned, and that's a lot of vehicles.
  8. No David, but thanks for noticing. It is simply a vinyl design my graphics guys installed to match the black and white checkered vinyl stripe at the top of the windshield.
  9. Hey man, send me an email address to [email protected]. I'll send you a couple pics. Thanks, OJ
  10. I installed my driver assist handle yesterday. It looks fantastic. The total cost, out the door, was $47.21. I also had the painted to match GM mud flaps installed. They too, look great. especially with the painted to match fender well moldings. I can honestly say, my Denali has taken on a new personality. I don't know, maybe it's just my OCD coming out, but I think the "driver assist handle" helps to balance the interior. With handles on the other three doors, it was like there was something missing. I would never have thought of it, had it not been for this forum. My wife is constantly telling me the forum is costing us a lot. I love it!
  11. Sorry Anthony, should have included that in my previous post. My parts guy told me my price would be $43 and some change.
  12. I also have one on order. I ordered mine Monday through my parts guy at the dealership. He said it was coming out of Michigan and would take a few days to get here, but it's coming.
  13. Yes David, you can take every word I have put in this thread as "straight shootin, honest to goodness fact." I have never been any more impressed with a tune. The fact that he street tunes the trucks doesn't take anything away from the results. i would do it again in a micro-second! Good luck with yours. OJ
