  1. pretty much what everyone else said, Rock Auto is a great tool not only for getting a good price but they generally have accurate part numbers you can use to reference other places. don't forget about amazon and ebay- especially if you have prime and get free shipping I got 8 new iridium ACDELCO plugs for about $36 which is alot better price than most other places https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019FSECZQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I got 8 new OEM plug wires with heat shields for $40 off ebay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/171168819901?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT granted plugs and wires may vary on your truck but you get the idea. I also got OEM ACDELCO brake pads/shoes/rotors/drums and Bilstein 5100's off amazon shipped free over the summer for way cheaper than i could get anywhere else including rockauto. If you're willing to be patient and do your research you can save a lot of money. Good luck!
  2. I'm interested in knowing what are the deciding factors that made you trade in or get a new truck? I think everyone always has one eye on whats new and coming out even if your truck is only a year old, but does anyone here have a deadline or set in stone rules they like to go by when it comes to making that choice? I'm fairly sure its impulse for some folks. I toy with the idea constantly and the variables involved (mileage on my truck and age) for example right now i have a 2006 silverado- extended cab Z71 with 106,000 miles. Truck still runs great and not having payments is nice. But every month the truck gets older and every mile the value goes down. blue book i believe right now is somewhere between 10-14, which isn't a bad chunk of change for trade. I guess it boils down to do I keep the truck and hope to not have to invest any money in it. or trade while the value is good. It's a tough choice sometimes. What have some of you guys done in similar situations?
