(881 Nm) at 1600 rpm. In addition to the power increase in the Silverado and Sierra, all 2006 Duramax engines have been significantly revised to deliver lower emissions and significantly improved quietness and smoothness in every application. |

Also new for 2006, the Allison 1000 six-speed features a class-first tap-shift range selection function, as well as offering enhanced fuel mileage, quietness and control. The range selection function allows the driver to easily select the desired gears to match driving conditions, such as towing a trailer on a steep grade. |

Sometimes when you're too busy ordering "secret" 6 month test vehicles, website tee shirts, giving seminars, and generally making a living running websites, things sort of... how do I put it.... get forgotten about? Late May I debuted this video of the H2 SUT we tested last winter at the 2005 Corvette Forum Cruise In. My intentions were to release the video on the website as soon as I got to my hotel room. DETROIT – General Motors dealers in the U.S. sold 558,092 new cars and trucks in June, up 41 percent compared to year-ago sales. This was GM’s best sales month since September 1986. The strong results were paced by all-time industry record truck sales (382,601) that were up 68 percent. GM led the industry in full-size pickup deliveries, which were up 102 percent. Car sales (175,491) were up 4 percent, with several new vehicles, including Cadillac STS, Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G6 and Buick LaCrosse, posting record sales results. |
