Born from Jets? Well no, but the 9-7x has been called a multitude of other things by my automotive press peers. What must hurt Saab the most is being called a day late and a dollar short warmed over TrailBlazer.  We’re here to stand up (well, mostly) for this so called “Saabrolet” that just doesn’t get the proper look from most folks.  Don’t get the wrong idea, the 9-7x isn’t glimmering in Saab gold, but it’s far from the redone Chevrolet most are so quick to label it as.  Let us explain…

Quick Test: Saab 9-3 2.0T
Sunday, 02 April 2006
Read more... Yes, we’re all truck owners, but in this day and age it’s tough to afford to drive one every single day, unless you work on a farm and/or your occupation pays for your vehicle expenses. For the most of us, a small fuel sipping daily driver sits quietly next to our pride and joy in the garage or driveway. Or maybe now, with gas prices not going down anytime soon, you’re just in the mood for something with a little more style that still gives you the fuel economy you’re lacking?  We present to you the Saab 9-3 2.0T.  Jag talar inte Svenska (I may not speak Swedish), but I do know that Saab does make some extremely nice, yet underappreciated cars. With the smaller 2.0L turbocharged engine, the 9-3 vaults into our list of euro-luxury cars that give you more features than you’d expect all while filling up at the gas station less.  You may have never given a Saab a second look before and we admit we hadn’t either, but the 2.0T turned our heads and we thought it was time for a closer inspection.

First Drive Review: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe
Sunday, 19 March 2006
Read more...A GM-TC Exclusive: You’d have to live in a hole to not see that the big news at Chevy is the introduction of the new Tahoe, Suburban, & Avalanche.   Even GMC and Cadillac are showing off their newest iterations of GM’s second best selling product, Full-Size SUVs.  The only product that GM sells more, Full-Size trucks, are due up next for a remake themselves in 2008. Right now, the focus is on the Chevy Tahoe being the first of the new SUVs to launch. The 07 model has currently sold more than 10,000 copies in just the first two months of sales and that figure would have been more if the plant could keep up with demand.  New Tahoes are sitting on the dealer lots less than a week and are selling near $41,000 on average.  It sounds like a great start, but is the new Tahoe worth all the hype? We decided we needed a first hand look and here’s what we thought.

Six Months With A 2006 HUMMER H3 [Month One]
Friday, 23 September 2005
Read more...BIG is not the word to describe the size of the H3.  However, when referring to the impact the introduction of the “smaller Hummer” has had on the brand; big… is an understatement.  We knew this was the defining moment for the HUMMER name. If the H3 flopped, most surely the brand synonymous with the military and tough styling would fade into niche status.  If the H3 was a hit, it would pave the way for an expansion of a brand extremely similar to the re-ascension of Cadillac.  The only way we’d know for sure was to buy one….

Vehicle Review: 2004 Cadillac SRX
Saturday, 17 July 2004

Read more...Mercedes has one, Lexus has one, even BMW has one and up until this year Cadillac didn’t.  A midsize SUV based on a car chassis.  A popular platform for people who want that SUV image with a car like ride and can trade off-roading ability for all season comfort.  The SRX seems to do all that and a can of caviar.
