This mod takes the two lines that allows coolant to run through the Throttle Body (TB), and reconnects them without going through the TB, allowing the incoming air to be a cooler temperature, which is always good for power.

Make sure your engine is cool, so you don’t burn yourself with hot coolant. Remove the air intake tube that connects to the TB so you have plenty of room to work.
The only supplies/tools you’ll need:
- One ¼ inch hose coupler
- Two ¼ inch rubber vacuum caps
- Two hose clamps
- Some pliers to squeeze the hose clamps with (or a screwdriver if you use the other style of hose clamps)
Needed Parts
This mod is as simple as removing the two lines from the TB, reconnecting them under the TB using the coupler, then cap off where the lines went on the TB. The hose on the driver’s side of the TB can be a little hard to remove due to the limited space. When disconnecting the hose, be prepared for some fluid to come out. It’s easiest to do one side at a time. I started with the passenger’s side first. Use one of the caps to cap off the end on the TB, install the coupler in the hose and use a cap to cap off the coupler to keep coolant from running everywhere while doing the other side. Remove the hose from the driver’s side of the TB and be ready to remove the cap from the coupler and install the other hose onto the coupler. Snug both hoses up and then slide the clamps back over the coupler. Cap off the other end on the TB and install the hose clamps on both vacuum caps. In the picture below, you can see the cap on the driver’s side of the TB, just above the silver hose clamp.
