DETROIT – GM dealers in the U.S. reported 160,996 retail deliveries in December – a 7 percent increase compared to last year, and a 50 percent increase over last month. GM adds 60,000 cars and trucks to production schedule for 09

General Motors is increasing production at several North America assembly plants in response to increased sales. The company will add shifts, overtime and reinstate forecasted down weeks at select facilities. As a result, GM will add about 60,000 vehicles in the third and mainly the fourth quarter production forecast, ensuring a wide selection of high-quality, fuel efficient cars, crossovers and trucks for customers.

Chevy Transformers movie stars on display in Chicago

Currently undergoing their own transformation, General Motors took the lid off its contributions to the cast of the upcoming movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at the Chicago Auto Show. Among the stars unveiled, a wicked cool Corvette concept, and autobots based on the Chevy Volt and Beat.
