2011 Chevy Silverado HD Duramax pricing unchanged from 2010

Chevrolet today announced pricing for the 2011 Silverado HD, highlighted by carryover pricing on the improved Duramax diesel engine and Allison transmission. This means best-in-class horsepower and torque at 397 HP and 765 lb-ft of torque, respectively, for the same option price as 2010 models.

The new, 2011 GMC Sierra Denali HD, 2500HD, 3500HD and chassis cab/box-delete commercial trucks are designed to deliver greater capability and improved fuel efficiency. A new 6.6L Duramax diesel – the segment’s most powerful – and Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission powertrain combination is a key contributor to the trucks’ greater performance, with the Allison transmission ensuring engine power is transmitted smoothly and efficiently in trucks with higher GVWRs.

2011 Heavy-Duty Trucks Build On Proven Strong Heritage With New Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel Engines

For 2011, that bar has been raised with two new Duramax 6.6L turbo diesel engines, which are offered on the new GMC Sierra Denali HD, 2500HD and 3500HD, as well as commercial chassis cab and box-delete models, launching this summer. There are two versions – one for pickups (engine code LML) and one for chassis cab and box-delete vehicles (engine code LGH).

Chevrolet’s new 2011 Silverado 3500HD chassis cab trucks are stronger, sturdier and more secure. They offer a wider range of uses than the models they replace, thanks to a more powerful 6.6L Duramax diesel, as well as increased gross vehicle weight ratings of up to 13,200 pounds (5,987 kg) and a gross combined weight rating of up to 27,500 pounds (12,473 kg) on dual rear wheel models.

Chevrolet’s new 2011 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD pickups deliver the segment’s best diesel power. Their new, optional 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel V-8 is rated at 397 horsepower (296 kW) at 3,000 rpm and 765 lb.-ft. of torque (1,037 Nm) at 1,600 rpm – an improvement of 32 horsepower (24 kW) and 105 lb.-ft. of torque (142 Nm) over last year’s engine.
