What could the next generation of Chevrolet full-size pickup look like? With the help of AI, we’re taking a speculative look at what may lie ahead for the design of a new 2026 Chevrolet Silverado.

The 2026 time frame is generally considered the best guess for when a significantly redesigned gasoline-powered Silverado may debut. It’s just the right amount of time for the 2022 redesign to run for four years while not so long away to let the current design go stale.
However, like you, we’ve gotten impatient with the new next-generation Silverado at least two years away. Our imagination is going wild thinking about what a new Silverado might look like. So, we took inspiration from the current generation, the Silverado EV, and GM’s own teases (see below). We then asked AI to help us imagine what a potential 2026 Chevrolet Silverado might end up looking like. We started with a few ideas and refined them into sketches. They came out so well, we just had to share and get your feedback.
We made sure the concept would look similar to the current generation Silverado but also incorporate a more expressive look, using what we know of how GM typically evolves the design of their most popular vehicle. Usually, new Silverado designs are iterative, not revolutionary. Keeping that all in mind, we decided on this sketch:
With our 2026 Chevrolet Silverado Concept looking good, we moved on to a more realistic take. With a few additional tweaks, here’s our vision for what the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado might look like.
And here is a slightly more modest side profile. Remember that AI sometimes makes dictating specific details extremely hard- but we’re happy with the result.
GM Design Hinting At The Future Silverado
Earlier in 2023, the GM Design’s Instagram account gave us a futuristic look at a next-generation Silverado. While these types of posts are not specifically representative of future models, it’s interesting to see one of GM’s designers express how they would pen the 2026 model.
