  2. I purchased a brand new Suburban in 2015 from Sawgrass Chevrolet in November 2015. Over the last 6 months my husband and I noticed the paint on the hood of the vehicle is faded and has noticiable swirls. I had it evaluated by a auto body shop and they confirmed the paint is defective and there is no clear coat. I've also been told by the dealership that this is a very common issue they have seen on the hood/ over the engine. Yet, there is nothing they can do, I must contact GM. How is it possible that this is a know issue and there is no resolution. My car is just over four years old! My 10 year old Ford Expedition's paint looked close to brand new compared to this!!! Does anyone have any advice or recommendations? CLASS Action lawsuit?????
  3. Np. To me its that pulse that makes the exhaust note better the the magnaflow. Sounds like a it has a truck/ Camaro exhaust if that makes sense. Quiet on light throttle and loud with a pulse on heavy throttle. Magnaflow is more of a flat drone with a dull pulse. Cheers! Sent from my LG-G710 using Tapatalk
  4. Well you came to the right place. This thread must be #1 on Google for Silverado window leak. Anyway, good luck and keep us posted.
  5. I have one of those Propride hitches. Well worth the price IMO, they work great! Using it on an Excursion SUV with a 35' trailer.
  6. Don’t know about all that but thank you. I appreciate it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Welcome to the site and super cool old GMT-400 Suburban you have there. There is a guy on YouTube - 1ROAD - that has an old 4wd Suburban like yours. Check out his site. He lives in California, too. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3HXlUp_KQwxMlhAx6MInTg/featured
  8. I've got the sct x4 I know it see engine trouble codes not sure about transmission codes. I don't have any lights in the dash and truck showed no codes with the sct.
  9. I have a 2015 Tahoe and this morning my Mylink screen is black. Rear camera works and I hear the radio but have to control the volume on steering wheel controls. And advise to fix it?
  10. Can't really go wrong with a Magnaflow muffler. There are times I wish it was louder but it's nice at other times to enjoy the quiet in the cab. My wife drives my truck occasionally and leaving the driveway she's got the gas a little heavy. It's definitely authoritative and mean sounding outside. I have the 6.2 but the 5.3 would be similar.
  11. Tonneau cover and lightly tinted tail lights and third brake light
  12. I just joined the club this morning. Trickle down the back. Not much water at all but this is unsat. I’ll be lurking... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Are you 100% sure they are junk? I think they are pretty slick....
  14. Once there programmed they wake up at least the brand we carry do. Some of the foreign cars and dodge have to be driven for up to 30mins at 35mph or more for the relearn to be completed most times about 5 to 10 mins of driving does it
  15. ill def get some photos of the mounting points to post here. Amp does not make a specific kit for reg cabs...and i really couldnt find much info online for reg cab installs...... I saw a few posts online here or there but not much details on RC install i ended up rolling the dice a bit and purchased the amp kit 76154-01A which is the plug N Play kit for the GM Crew Cabs. Everything installed just fine, electrical/plug n play was easy. The passenger side mounted right up, nothing in the way but on the driver side, I had to put the linkage with the motor towards the front and then the back linkage area I had to trim a few spots (which I was a little hesitant at first) but ended up being ok. I wanted to mount the linkages as wide as possible so I could extend the step a bit towards the bed and be able to use the step to reach into the bed if needed. I then trimmed the boards down to 65 inches (amp has a youtube vid on trimming the boards) so just took my time with that part. ill post more pics soon [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Figured I'd start this thread as a place holder for now. Will add mods as I go. My truck is a 2016 4.3 Chevrolet Silverado regular cab standard box 4x4. Purchased in June of 2019. Since then, I have added a folding tonneau cover, catch can, tinted windows, removed lower portion of valance, red tow hooks, painted mirror caps, light smoke on tail lights, and aftermarket air filter. Future plans include 2 inch level, larger tires (possibly 33s), black bear tune, colour matched bumpers/handles, tint front turn signals, throttle controller, rear wheel well liners, and upgrade to 8 inch oem stereo.
  17. Napa Gold, better than Mobil1, capturing as small as 20 whereas Mobil1 is at 30 microns. Napa gold is excellent or those that like to do short OCI’s Sample of a 2017 5.3 Sent from Above
  18. Update: So, finally got a clear concise answer on what is needed for traffic updates on the nav map. You need "Connected Navigation". I went through the OnStar button to get it. I told them this is all I wanted or needed, and they've given me a month free to try it out. Said it would be $10/month after that or $100 for a year subscription. Here's the description and link: https://my.chevrolet.com/how-to-support/onstar-connected/features/connected-navigation Then when I logged into MyChevrolet app, it appears it was either bundled with or is actually part of "Chevrolet Unlimited Access Plan" (see screen shot below of what is included with this). They told me when I talked to them, when setting it up, to call and renew for the yearly subscription when my month free is about to run out next month. Said it would be $100 for a year, but price in MyChevrolet app is saying $119/year, but that's for all the above.... Not sure if you need the full package or bundle, but regardless I'll call when I want to get the yearly price and get it for $100 as I was promised. Also, it did take about 6 or so times off starting/stoping my truck before the traffic finally showed up on the nav map.
  19. I have been looking at trucks and for some reason dealers stopped ordering TB models with the machined aluminum 18" rims that look like the zr2 spec rims. Imo those are the nicest looking ones for the chevy trucks currently imo. The black painted ones are terrible looking along with not holding up, gm black painted rims have a terrible history and these look no different with owners already complaining about rock chips galore on them.
  20. She is BUTE! I stop for coffee couple times a week and park next to a early 2000's HD suburban's 6.0 It might even have 8.1? great rear end etc.etc. and I marvel at it probably more than my 2016? Go figure..........

  22. I’m fused for heated seats - I checked under my seats to see if I had the harness, but didn’t. Do you think there is a harness that would plug in somewhere for factory power since I’m fused? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. 2017 5.3L with 50K miles started to run rough and get P303 then P050D and P2101. Ran much better after warm up. All indications were for replacing all injectors. $600 for labor at dealership and $600 to $1000 for parts was my guess. Drained gas tank to start. Gas looked normal. Ran better but not right. Decided to try a few tanks of expensive Shell V-Power® NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline. Ran better and better. 4 to 5 tanks later and no check engine light. Now at 70K the truck is running almost perfectly. Just a slight hesitation sometimes at low rpm. I am not affiliated with Shell but the magic stuff worked for me. Hopefully I can put off new injectors for now. Just thought I would share my experience.
