Hi just wondering if anyone would be able to help. My truck makes this rattling noice when being accelerated. When it started it wasn't that bad but has progressively got worse. It's worse when it's cold then goes away for the most part once the engine is warmed up. Sounds like it's coming from the front end. Thank you!

I have a 2011 GMC Canyon 4x4 3.7 liter automatic that occasionally, very random, overnight, the battery will drain down to nothing so that the dash does not even light up when key is turned on. Nothing. Not a glimmer of light.

As soon as the booster pack is connected to the battery, the truck will start and then be good, sometimes, for a few days. Sometimes it won't start all day long without the booster pack. We have changed out some of the power relays. Checked for bad connections to ground and to the system. We have connected an AMP meter to the battery positive post ,in series with the battery and checked for current drain when shutting off the ignition. It draws approx. 2.5 amps for a few seconds then drops to .100 milli amps for a few seconds, then down to 0.001 amps and stays there until key is turned on again where it goes back up to approx. 2.5 to 3.0 amps and again repeats the drops when shut off.

We have even install a 0.5 amp battery maintainer that gets plugged in at night. Even then some mornings the dash is dead on key on and no start.

	Any Ideas?????

Hello all, wondering if i could get some assistance with an issue on the above item. i lost all operation of signal lights and hazard lights recently. i realize they are controlled by bcm. i drove the truck (2010 Colorado 5-cylinder crew cab 4wd) to a shop to investigate and they said the bcm failed. they located a used one and said they had to have it flashed to replace existing one. once the completed that task i picked up vehicle, noticed the following issues on the cluster.

odometer reading went from 118,000 km to 195,000 kms

oem radio locked ( was working fully prior (am/fm, cd, sirius)

 change oil on display

 airbag light on cluster

 check engine light on cluster

this made me think they didn't program the used bcm properly. i notfied them at shop before driving away so they kept it, resolved cluster warnings, change oil and had radio "unlocked" by gm dealer. the Sirius xm however remains locked.

i have spoken with 2 gm dealers here and not getting much help on radio locked issue, gm support directs me to Sirius which is a laugh. no help there.

i have the original bcm i acquired from the shop. p/n 15886074. i have looked to understand and see if options are available online. i know only used parts are available at this point. there are companies that offer reprogrammed bcm's all they need is my vin # and mileage. but no there is no way to turn back odometer so i have to show receipt of bcm change out as it shows inbound kms at shop. is a reprogrammed bcm of any use now? is there a way to get old odometer value back? any way to get Sirius xm unlocked? would buying new unlocked radio even work? is the vin # on the bcm the donor vehicle's mileage or did they install bcm without flashing with my vin#? Furthermore, I had to have TPM on all 4 wheels reprogrammed as the cluster notified me of fault there too, but tire pressure was fine and voltage on sensors was okay. This fault came along 100km after bcm change.

So, all in all was a complete mess, i don't really understand how these systems work, I'm not a mechanic. maybe i should have been lol. I appreciate any help on a resolution for any / all of the remaining issues (mileage and unlock Sirius xm part of radio). thanks.

	I recently purchased a 2006 GMC Canyon SLE 3.5L 5-Cycl. 4WD, 141,500kms.

-The windshield wipers will spray fluid.

-I can hear "something" activating when I select the speeds on the steering column switch for wiper control.

-There is no motion from the wipers at any speed.

-They will move freely, by HAND, when I have a speed selected on the column switch.

	I don't have a multimeter for testing.

What can I do to troubleshoot or narrow down what the problem is?

So I bought these adhesive stickers from AUXITO to fix this issue. You can’t even tell that they’re stickers! They’re easy to apply as well. I wiped my buttons with rubbing alcohol, let them dry for a few minutes, then placed the stickers where needed. You may have to smooth out one or more, I took my time placing them so that I wouldn’t have that issue. They totally did the trick! My buttons look like new now! Check the BEFORE and AFTER pics

So, if you buy a new center cross section for 2004-2012 Colorado... and it arrives "primed" and is black (the color I was wanting anyway)... think it would be OK to put on the truck without painting?

Maybe the better question would be, without painting it will it eventually start fading since it's primed plastic?

If it's going to eventually discolor then I'd need to go get it painted at a body shop along with clear coat

Do you guys think it's possible to remove the OE bucket seats from their OE bracket... and then bolt on aftermarket seats?

Mine is an '09 Colorado with OE power / heated bucket seats (not too comfortable), so I'm considering the Corbeau Sport Seat found at https://corbeau.com/sport-seat or the Corbeau Baja XRS at https://corbeau.com/baja-xrs (these should be closer to feeling like the OE seats that were in the 2011 Chevy Silverado that I used to have)

I was looking up under my OE seats and there appear to be 4 points where the seat is attached to the OE bracket (it's a solid fastener that would need to be drilled out).

I found a video at where the guy is reviewing the Corbeau Baja XRS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNQMjWxVDVc

At 0:45 in the video, he's saying this seat has standard 4 bolt mounting points that would fit most seat frames manufactured in the paste 50 years. If true, then the 4 points where my OE seat is attached to me OE frame.... should match.

By retaining my OE bracket, I'd be at about the same seat height as the after market bracket appears to be considerably lower and would not have up and down adjustment like I have with my OE bracket.

Just curious if anybody has done this with OE Chevrolet seat brackets before and if so did these 4 points align all it would bolt right up?

I don't just have to have the Corbeau seat. I'm open to any good quality aftermarket bucket seat that would bolt on to my OE frame if it's comparable to the Silverado seat as that seat was a lot more comfortable to me than the OE Colorado seat which feels more like a 70s bench seat (flat and soft, not supportive for thigh and ikidney mid section)

I have a 2005 Colorado with an HVAC issue that my Chevy dealer can't seem to solve. After approximately 15 to 20 minutes of driving the air flow from the AC vents begins to diminish to barely nothing. The fan is still blowing full blast, just nothing is coming out of the vents. If I turn the AC off and allow fresh air to come through, after about 2 minutes the air flow returns to normal. Then I can turn the AC back on and the process begins again. My dealer has replaced a connector and a resistor and said it was fixed. The problem recurred so I took it back. This time they replaced the evaporator and compressor, which was quite expensive, only to have the issue return. I am scheduled to take it back Monday for another crack at it. Please help if you can.

I drive a 2006 GMC Canyon and I’ve looked around and tried all the main things that are out there to fix the issue of my windshield wipers only working on max speed Along with the cruise control not working.

I had the whole switch replaced.

I checked and replaced a bunch of fuses.

I also changed the brake light switch to fix the cruise control and that did nothing as well.

I am not sure what else to do about it.
has anyone tried something different and it worked?

I was just wondering how many miles some of you guys have on your I5 engine and how reliable has it been? (the truck itself too)

Any good/bad feedback on the trucks is welcomed. I'd be looking at a 4x4 crew cab.

I'm looking at buying used, but probably not for a couple years. I'm always getting way ahead of myself. LOL

Thanks for your feedback.
