	General question to those with with more knowledge than myself.  Currently considering ordering a new 2023 Sierra 1500. Its been more than a decade since my last new truck purchase. Thinking of going with a 3.0 Duramax.  However a video surfaced on youtube in the last few days claiming to show a new 2023 sierra with polymer leaf springs.  Of course not everything one see's on the net is true.  Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this? Thanks

	What is w/ the OEMs falling all over themselves to offer 'Elpo Grey' as a colour choice? The reason I call it that, is GM's electrodeposit primer is that colour. To me it looks like they ran the car or truck thru the elpo line, then bypassed the colour booths &amp; then gave it a clear coat. Even the Corvette my dealer had in their showroom was that colour...

	The colour choices appear to be getting fewer &amp; fewer &amp; the 'ones' that aren't black, white, silver, maroon are God awful. I see a new GMC Canyon @ the parts store I deal w/ &amp; it's a yellowish green metallic <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@14.0.2/assets/72x72/1f92e.png" class="ipsEmoji" alt="🤮">

	I’m sure this has been posted somewhere but I can’t seem to find exactly what I need to answer my question. <br />

</p>

<p>
	I have a 2016 Silverado that came with the LT small 4 inch screen for the radio and I picked up a nice bigger screen factory from a 2018. Everything fits perfect and the radio works but there is no display and I haven’t even attempted to hook up the DVD player. I don’t have controls on the wheel. Do I need an adapter or something to make the new radio jive?

	Salesman friend of mine told me yesterday an email from GM came out saying GM only making crew cab trucks for 2021.  No extended cabs, or no regular cabs.  Any truth to this I wonder?  I think it would be a big mistake to do that, but I guess production is behind and the crew cabs are what is selling more than the rest.

	How does everyone feel about the Vader chrome grille?  I liked it at first but a couple issues with it IMO
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	1.  It doesn't match the rest of the accents like it always has
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	2.  It tones the truck down and gets rid of that "king of the road look"
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	im looking to replace with chrome anyone else?

	After waiting several months, I just brought home a brand new 2022 Silverado LTZ new body style and I hate it after less than 12 hours. Would you believe there is no 12V DC OUTLET in this unit at all.  I have asked the dealership to find a supported fix as this is a complete showstopper. Anyone know how to properly escalate?  This means that almost every 12V accessory people have gotten used to for what, maybe 80 years, can no longer be plugged into a factory outlet.

	I had been planning to buy a new '23 Sierra Denali Ultimate and send it off to Hennessey to get the supercharger installed.  Just when I'm ready to pull the trigger, they tell me GM locked the computer down on the Sierras and they can't tune them, only the Yukon (WTH?).  For a period I considered a TRX, then a Shelby F-150, but I'm a GMC truck man.  I now hear about the FP700 where you can get a Whipple installed on the F-150, maintaining your warranty.  Is GM going to jump into this HP war?

	Hello All!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	this is my fourth Denali and I've loved them all - but on the new Denali ultimate(I assume on any trucks with the new big screen interface) - the interface is so slow.  It takes 2-4 seconds to change a song or just change the screen to something else. <br />

</p>

<p>
	is this normal??

	The last week of 2022, I bought a new Sierra 1500 Denali, 6.2L V8 engine. Salesperson showed me all functions, including setting up the gap for the adaptive cruise control. The adaptive cruise control would never work. I just returned from the dealership:  "Oh, it was not installed, that is part of the high end package. So...all talk about high end Sierra trucks, such as the Denali, having "adaptive" cruise control: No, not correct. There is only old-fashioned cruise control. The feature to set up up the gap in 1-2-3 increments means NOTHING. $72,000 for old fashioned cruise control....what is wrong with GM ?

	So to sum up my current situation. Purchased AT4X new May 7. Put 79 miles on the truck, and man was this thing amazing. Driving home, from visiting my parents, dashboard just starts to go nuts. CEL light, Check Traction control, Check Emissions, just flashing across the dash.  Call my salesman, dealership is closed, make arrangements to drop truck off Monday morning. Everything I tell my salesman, he relays to the Service advisor, and the intial though is bad lifter. Tell my to baby the truck home. Get the truck home, get a call Sunday (the next day). Grandfather isn't doing well/on death bed. Have no other choice to drive the truck. Put 100 miles on the truck, and CEL light goes off. Text my service advisor, let him know light is off, requests that I bring it in anyway.  CEL is misfire on cylinder 5. Drop truck off, dealership has it for 3 days. Dealership tries to replicate the issue, they can't get the truck back 5/11. Drive truck around, don't see any issues. 5/17 while wife is driving, truck does the same thing. Have her drive truck to dealer. Call my salesman and service advisor, and they take the truck right in.  5/18 talk to the dealer, they ask what symptoms the truck has, tell them everything, truck is stuttering anything past 2k RPM. Truck is in limp mode.  Dealership indicates that it is again a misfire on cylinder 5. Service department has checked lifters/valves. No collapsed valves and no stuck lifters but they found that the injector for cylinder 5 is bad. Either not enough fuel pressure or to much.  Dealer tells me parts are on back order, and they expect them in a week. Well truck has been at the dealership since 5/17. Was told, the injectors that were sent, aren't the correct part number. GM rep told dealer that they are going to pull a fuel rail and injector set off the assembly line, to get the truck back up and running. There is absolutely no ETA on these injectors. Everytime i've talked to the dealership lately it's the same line. "<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#555555;font-size:small;text-align:left;">Still no info on the Injectors. It’s on every ones mind and conversation but still no parts." From all my digging, the part number for a 2021 Sierra 1500 with 6.2 is 12710481, and those show in stock, at multiple dealers in my area. The new part number for 2022 Sierra 1500 with 6.2 is 1942064. From all my searching, on google, this forum. For the life of me, I can't find any engine changes that were made with the 6.2. So which brings me to now. Why two completely different part numbers, for essentially the same engine, for the same part. I've contacted GM customer service, and they just tell me to wait on the dealer.  So any suggestions would be welcomed. My patience with this well gone by now. </span>

	Hey y’all,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	so I bought the refreshed Silverado last week and everything seemed to be working great. A couple days after, I went out to start the truck and the digital cluster wouldn’t come on which is kinda inconvenient if you need to drive lol. After a few minutes I came back to it and the dash came on like normal. The following day the speakers had a ton of static. Left it alone for a few minutes and everything worked as it should. Was told by the dealership that it could be Gm sending updates? Anyone know what could be going on? I’ll attach a pic of the cluster
