Want to keep this truck. 2018 1500, 5.3l 200,000kms. Owned since new. NO problems yet. Want to refresh everything to keep it going an other 5 yrs. Daily commuter truck.

Want to rebuild trans, w/ upgraded converter and tuning. And rebuild motor with AFM delete, all new lines, and gaskets, hoses, components, etc.

Who's the go- to shop in Ontario thats trusted and experienced. Cost is not of my concern, done right the first time is.

Hello, everyone.

I have a 2021 5.3 RST failed a lifter.

I ordered Brian Tooley racing parts and now I wont be using them.

I have a Stage 2 BTR cam, lifts, springs, push rods gaskets i cannot return id love to sell.

Also i have random L84 engine parts as im dropping a crate engine in mine

- good heads, valves, block and cam bearings done by a machine shop

- good pistons and rods

- good crank

- good fuel system

- good throttle body

- good air intake plenum

Guess I should have signed up awhile ago ,better late than never . We bought a 2024 Chevrolet 2500 HD 6.6 gas engine CrewCab in Slate Grey Metallic 20 inch wheels .

We had a Linex spray in bedliner applied since getting the truck . Plan on putting Husky rear fender liners in and Husky extended mud flaps on .

I got a set of towing mirrors off amazon and the driver side was plug and play, but the other side the right side the wires did not match, I am looking for some help in finding the proper pin out for the truck so I can change the mirror to match, any help will be great.

Would anyone around Calgary be interested in the GM 23176881 underbody skid plate kit?

Fits most GM gasoline 2015-2020 V8 trucks & SUVs

It's a heavy duty aluminum kit that replaces the cheap plastic guard under your engine, and includes the diff protector as well.

2 piece front skid, 1 piece diff protector, and bag of bolts.

Brand new, in the factory box, never installed. I have 2 of the complete kits available.

$130 CDN -- check around on Ebay, the Canadian GM wholesale websites, this is $100 cheaper than the lowest price I could find online.

Paint?

Hey All! New to the site and new Chevrolet owner. I have a 17' Silverado in the Scar'e blue (or deep ocean metallic)

Anyway its new to me but only has 30k on it and I seem to notice the paint is weak!

I have a ton of scratches on the rockers where the pervious owner must of dragged his feet to get it and even on my box right after the mud guard where its rocker guarded, i;ve noticed chips.

No its cold here in northern Ontario, but I bought a paint pen and spring is around the corner

anyways! Do any of you have this issue of weak paint? and if so do any of you know about the strength of the primer (like will it take a while to rust?)

Cracked windshield - I hate winter!

Well it had to happen sooner or later. Today I'm driving south on Deerfoot Trail about 200 feet behind the closest car and out of nowhere a rock nails my windshield and dammit, it's a bad one. Less than a month old and it's got little nasty spider legs coming out of it. It was too late in the day to get it fixed so I just hope it doesn't spread and that it's actually fixable. I hate that the City of Calgary spreads suck large rocks on the road after a snowfall.

Sigh. The first one hurts the most. Winter sucks! I'm sure many of you can relate to this.

Block Heater

My truck came with a block heater. It was -20 last night here in Ottawa and no more than -15 today so I thought I would plug in the block heater and see how it worked.

I plugged in the heater cord that came with the truck and checked the voltage =120 v. Was curious about how much draw there is but my amp probe showed zero amps

when plugged in. It appears there is no load Just wondering if anyone else experienced this and if there is something I need to do under the hood to connect the heater .

2020 GMC Sierra SLT GM fog light install

Hey guys / gals

I recently had the GM factory accessory Fog kit activated at my local dealer and while the lights work on/off there is no indicator ... looking at the manual there is indeed a fog indicator in the DIC so I'm wondering why that did not get "activated" as well during the BCM programming ? Anyone else have a fog kit installed that can confirm about the indication of fogs being on / off much appreciated

My name is Taylor I'm 27 year's old and I'm a farm hand for big farmer in the area bin farming with this big John Deere out fit for four years this December. My truck is a 98 Z71 Silverado 1500 5.7. I'v just done rockers and cab corners new oem grille new lights 3" full true dualls 5" chrome tips. Once seeding is done I'm putting new front fenders on it aswell as fixing the rust on the box then going on repaint the entire truck.

Steering wheel jerking violently left and right

Hey guys, so this just started yesterday while running some errands, the wheel started jerking back and forth hard, truck wasn’t shuddering at all just the wheel, doing 60kmh, well at any speed really. Got it home and parked it in the driveway. Checked the play in the right wheel and it has about a fat 1/8” of play up and down, seems tight right and left and in and out. Not sure what to check next, tie rods look to be ok, only thing I can see is a torn diff boot at the wheel. I can post some pics if that would help

I'm an engineer at Pacbrake and we are currently developing an air bag suspension kit for the new 2019 Silverado/Sierra (previous air spring kits). While I have CAD models from the manufacturer, nothing replaces working with the physical truck. We are looking for someone who would be willing to have a prototype air spring kit installed on their truck (we would need the truck for about a day in our shop), in return we offer a new air spring kit (installed) once the product is ready and/or cash compensation.

2018 3500 SLT Outside temp. stuck on 13 degrees

My new truck has an issue with the outside temperature value, it is stuck on 13 degrees. I read some other posts that said this may also affect the way the air-conditioning works. Has anyone else had this issue or know of it? My next move is to go to the dealer but would like to hear if this is a one off or something that is ongoing.
