	Hey folks,
</p>

<p>
	Just picked up a 2025 Canyon Elevation and the packages that I opted for did not have a built in HomeLink transmitter in the visor, roof console or mirror.
</p>

<p>
	Since my Canyon is a 2wd, I was able to install a two button Gentex GENHLBP1 transmitter into the knock-out cover that fills the hole in the console face.
</p>

<p>
	You have to trim a plastic strap below in the console cavity to allow the transmitter some room to sit flush into the knock out cover which is held in place by four tabs.
</p>

<p>
	Worked out good as shown below.

	Can you remove the 2" lift kit that is standard on the new 2023 Canyons. Don't need the height, don't go off road. Would like to lower for easier access.

	I missed out when I bought my 2023 Colorado Z71 and would like to add the surround vision. But my dealer seems to not understand how and what parts I would need to get it done. Keeps trying to sell me an Uber camera.

	I hardwired the OPT7 48" Redline Triple Row LED Tailgate Light Bar w/Sequential RED Turn Signal into the taillights per OPT7 instructions.  When I initially plugged the OPT7 into a Curt 7-pin to 4-pin adapter, the light bar triggered the trucks trailer system which I was pretty sure would happen.  I tested the OPT7 light bar and found that when either the left or right turn signal was activated and I stepped on the brake pedal, the light bar would stop the sequential turn signal blinking and go solid red.  When I activated the hazard lights and stepped on the brake pedal, the hazard lights continued to flash sequentially as they should.
</p>

<p>
	I sent OPT7 a trouble ticket asking their advice on the fix for the left or right turn signal going solid red when stepping on the brake pedal.  There reply was to hardwire the light bar to the taillights.  At their request I also sent them a video showing the taillight operation with the OPT7 light bar connected.  Further, I sent them a photo of both rear taillights and how the light bar was wired.   I reiterated that the OPT7 light bar was already hardwired as I had explained in my initial email.  OPT7 replied by telling me to seek out an professional aftermarket vendor and have them figure out the problem.  That pissed me off......I replied that they manufacturer and sell the OPT7 and their techs should know a fix.  OPT7 reply....we only make the product and it's generic so you have to figure it out yourself.
</p>

<p>
	Way to support your product OPT7.......NOT
