The 3500HD DRW is a bit more truck than is needed for the current travel trailer, but will nicely fill the bill for a new fifth wheel when we find the right one. I bought the DRW diesel so I didn't have to worry about weight handling when I shopped for the new fifth wheel.

As we are retiring soon and will be traveling around the good old USA, we are going to trade our 35' travel trailer in for a 40'+ fifth wheel. The 2013 1500 GMC would not pull such a load so we upgraded to this beast. We have been very pleasantly surprised at how nicely it rides, and while I didn't buy it to be economical, the fuel mileage isn't that much less than the previous 1500 5.3 truck.
