I did this particular modification to clean up the back of my truck, didn't like the 4-Pin and 1ft extension running up thru the license plate slot and being plugged into the trailer 4-Pin spot, AND to prepare for the installation of my Tailgate Light Bar.   The 4-Pin is laying under the 5-Pin. Each of the four "fat spots" are where I spliced in a different wire for the 4-Pin, I don't remember which one at which point. It was easy, just had to match wire colors. I may add photos from this mod later.
