  2. Rear window leak

The only stain I see is from the one the other day. This is what it looks like now.. I had the truck in the garage with a large fan blowing on it all night.
  3. Silverado wasn't listed and is the "bulk" of GM truck's sales.
  4. 2019 RST Z71 Rear Gear Ratio

To help increase MPG. CAFE rules are forcing Automakers to squeeze every ounce of fuel out of trucks. You will notice the gearing difference most when towing on the highway especially on hilly terrain. The 3.42 can hold the engine more in check where as a 3.23 will downshift to gain power. Ride quality will be subjective to opinion. 6.2 would be a better choice for more regular towing but I do not think it is available in the RST package. 5.3 is good enough for once in a while towing and every day commuting.
  5. Weather tech full coverage floor mats used black

    What's the condition?....got pics?
  6. Mines perfect and I have the sport. Hardly any sound increase in the cab when cruising. WOT is an amazing sound. It doesn’t make sense to me when someone wants longtubes but is worried about sound. If you don’t like a loud truck then the long tubes aren’t for that person :/

Did the truck have wax that wasn’t removed from the paint first? That will make it much more difficult for the pad to remove the imperfections. Polishing is really the final step. If you had decent clear coat scratches it needs compounded first with a more aggressive abrasive. Also chances are a $200 DA polisher lacked the power to really make a difference on your paint.

Bugs me when people say buff the paint. You wet sand/compound/polish to remove or decrease defects. As far as ceramic coating goes I would not do it. I think it’s just a fad (an expensive one). You take a new vehicle and compound/polish just to put on the ceramic coating to make it a little easier to wash and protect your paint? Never mind that each time you compound/polish you remove a small amount of clear coat which guess what? REDUCES YOUR PAINT PROTECTION. The top of the clear coat has your UV inhibitors. Once that’s gone your paint will go much faster. Compounding and polishing should be done as a last resort on cars with servere swirl marks, clear coat scratches, or to help bring back shine to older paint. Wash your truck often, and use a good wax and sealer to help protect the paint. Way cheaper than what these guys are charging for ceramic coating. I’m sure that after 5 years your paint will look just as good if you take care of it properly.
  10. Yes, just the 1" in the front to try and get a little more clearance for bigger tires.
  11. I have the Corsa CP14873 and I love the sound and performance!!!! While the system is a little obnoxious on cold start up after about 30 seconds to a minute it quiets down to a nice rumble idling. Now at WOT it sounds amazing. Some will say its way to loud but I love it. Id rather listen to my supercharger and exhaust than the radio (lol) John
  12. Trailboss oversize tires

No issues here, I stayed on the safe side and just went with the 1". I know a lot of others were going with the 1.5" but I really worried about using either of those. But a guy on the FB groups said he personally talked to Motofab and they recommended going with just the 1". So far no issues and I love it. I started with a 2" rake, now I am at about 3/4" rake.
  13. After Market Grille

Have they resolved this issue yet?
  17. Denali cluster in SLT

Honestly, I might not of even noticed had Chris not told me ahead of time.
  18. I was having this problem with first with my Buick Encore and then with my GMC 2500. It was very frustrating. After having spent hours trying to unsync and resync my contact, delete Bluetooth and reconnecting it, this fix finally did the trick. Simply changing the language to Spanish and then back to English fixed it. I’m happy and my wife is elated! Thanks so much!
  19. I have one that’s 28 years old gets driven once a week or two. One that’s 18 years old that gets driven once a month. The 28 year old I’m the third owner, the 18 year old the original owner. It still smells drives as new. I just changed the 17 year old tires. I have many I wish I haven’t sold memories. The choice of course is yours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I tried diy method. First you have to paint correct. I bought a real DA polisher, all the pads, products, and followed all the steps to a T. I researched the shit out of it, I washed the whole truck, iron X’d it, washed, washed, washed, polished. After I’m done polishing I can’t wait to see the results. Didn’t do a god damn thing. I couldn’t polish it, it did not take anything out. I wasted like 5 hours of research, 6 hours of labor, and $200. Apparently GM trucks have a difficult paint to work with. Take it to a pro for sure. Only GM could engineer a paint that’s easy to scratch but difficult to remove scratches. The folks that tune the transmissions must have moonlighted as painters.
  21. the only option the SLT doesn't come with standard that we would prefer is the driver alert package (which I believe you are referring to) so thank you! the SLT does come with heated and cooled seats...I'm not sure why, but it seems the SLT is significantly cheaper than the Chevy LTZ and they seem to be identical packages? I have found that even the Chevy LT is more expensive than the more loaded SLT...seems odd... if this were my daily driver, i would be 100% right there with you on the 3.42...but since it is my wife's, that isn't a concern...the 3.08 (I assume) would probably just slightly better gas mileage...
  22. When I was younger, I had a custom chopper build...I had it well before I ever met my (now) wife...she never tried to get me to sell it...but once we got pregnant with our first child, she never got back on the bike-not because she didn't want to, but because it was an ordeal just to get a sitter, take it out, etc etc. (I took it out mostly for short drives just to keep in running well-that lasted several years until i realized that is a lot of money sitting there not really doing anything)...that evolved to an 02 corvette, which eventually evolved to this orange truck... I know this is different because this is a classic and you are right, getting tough and tougher to find...but as life evolves and our family changes and grows, we all have to adapt. classics need to be driven to stay in shape or they start to deteriorate in the garage...I don't want that to happen to such a great vehicle!
  23. Timbrens?

Do you have the max trailering package?
