Nbs Flowmaster 40 Series Sound Clip?

Can anyone with a 40 series get a sound clip when it goes into V4 mode. I keep hearing that is just gets quieter but was wanting to hear how it sounds. Thanks

ive got a 2006 with a flowmaster super40 series.... its actually pretty loud for a truck that as cats...ill make a vid tommorow when it clears up its snowing right now and my trucks due for a washing.

Might wanna try searching. Many exhaust threads have been posted here. Lots of them have sound clips too. I'd post mine here but I have a 50 series big block.

I thought you had the 70?

And I have a 40 on my 2000 4.8l. Not a huge difference in sound between that and something newer, a stock small block sounds like a stock small block.

Im wanting to hear a sound clip when it changes from 8 to 4 cyliders. I have found alot that have the mufflers, (I have one on my old suburban) i just want to know what its going to sound like when it goes from 8 to 4.

I had a 50 delta... never got a clip when it went to 4cyl mode, but with the 50, the V4 growl was pretty intense, and the interior noise/drone was WAY too much for me at highway speed and while accelerating. The entire floor pan vibrated harshly. If ya like that sort of thing, that's good. If, like me, you don't, than I think a 40 would even be more intense.

Ended up with a 70 BB II, and it is MUCH better. You get a very slight growl in V4, barely noticeable. Nice note otherwise, but not over the top.

The 70 is a 3-chamber muffler, quite a bit longer and heavier, but well worth it IMHO.

Here's the sound clip as promised of my 2006 with the 5.3 with a flowmaster super40 side exit w/ Camaro tips... in front of the rear passenger tire

the second clip i added was with the windows open ...I couldn't really let her rip wide open because i was on a residential street with traffic.. lol but you get the idea...a very nice sounding system...imo

with the 40 series the drone IS very loud inside the truck either at low idle or at highway speed...you hear the presence...i like loud systems so I'm in love...
