  1. Haha... my thoughts exactly! There's just something very intimidating about seeing THIS in your rearview! (Either one just screams "GET OUT OF THE WAY!") Or THIS:

  5. I think it will give a cleaner look too! Im undecided If I wanna paint mine or remove it. I literallly debadged my entire truck the next day of having it. I just used a fishing line and my finger to remove the excess glue. Nothing better then elbow greese! But then again mine was obviously pretty fresh. Mike1220's idea is also a pretty popular one from what Ive heard. And might also save your thumb . I see no disadvantages at all with mine. Breathes better (get the non oiled one btw), looks better, and sounds better. Our 3 favourite things as truck owners! Like my Flo-Pro? Nah, I love it

  6. The current seats are 'cooled' using a Peltier device. ( something like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermoelectric_cooling ) Mine eventually get cold enough I need to reduce the cooling setting. My reason for posting is that it appears they may be removing cooling in favor of ventilation only. Was wondering if anyone had more info about this. Was not intending to start debate about effectiveness of the current system. I like the cooling, but don't like the fan noise from the seat cooling/ventilation.

  13. I used cars.com, and opened up my search radius to 500 miles. Found my Truck in Arkansas. IMO the cars.com search engine allows for more specific filtering than the GM search.

  14. We have a new phone at work and it has a screen that tells you who's calling and their number. I know it has been around for a while. Now we are in California and today someone called and it said it was from Georgia. So I knew it was a sales call. After saying Hello, they guy rambled off about what finance company he was with and wanted to know how much money we needed. I told him $50.00. The guy just hung up. LOL

  15. I would just search using cars.com. You can see trucks pretty much however close or far away you want to. If you find one you like, most dealers provide links through that site for live chat and/or email. Or you could find a few, go to your dealer and ask them to go get it.

  16. 2014 GMC Sierra All Terrain SLE Sonoma Red Well my truck has officially hit 10k, I was very nervous about buying this thing, never bought a new vehicle in my life, this forum helped alot and i thank everyone, it also almost kept me from buying as well, but I took everything for what its worth, when something goes wrong people complain, and look for others in the same boat, when something is right very rarely do you go online and applaud, Issues, 1. Headlights! I bought this knowing this and some drive time at night, but I still was amazed at just how bad they really were, shame on GM for pa

  18. Exactly! GM should've left the "classier/sleeker" appearance to the Cadillac's and brought back the Escalade EXT & the Avalanche if they wanted something different.

  20. Agreed but don't think we should shut people down that want to ask the questions. They can get the info they need, if provided in a truthful manner, to make their own decision. That is what these forums are for. If good mpg is your main concern a lift/level and tires is probably a bad idea but if you just want to know how bad it will be this should be the place to come to find out.

  21. The whole tailgate handle has since been painted WDT. It's a cheap eBay cover that I purchased along with door handle covers so I wouldn't have to deal with removing any handles. Plus if I ever got tired of it, I can pull off the handles. But, I will say these covers stick STRONG

  27. Denali def isn't just a few cosmetic things, but that isn't the point of the thread. I went from the denali 20s to upgraded 22 wheels and the mpg is still the same. As another post says I am still getting 22+ on the hwy and averaging about 18mpg with the 6.2, which is basically the same as before. Those are real world numbers so I don't care about someones daughter or taking her friend and all that "static weight". If you guys want I can take a poo before I leave for work in the morning and report back on the mpg increase? The ride is also better imo, the truck isn't so floaty if that mak

  28. I just picked up an LTZ CC short bed with 22"wheels and must say that the gas mileage doesn't seem to be affected by them, I did notice that on the Window sticker it showed them to be aluminum and perhaps that helps a bit with the overall weight of the wheel/tire package, just my 02 cents

  29. You could have a bad vent solenoid or a short to ground. The vent valve is almost always open. It is only closed for testing purposes, The circuit is always powered with the key in run. The PCM grounds the other circuit to close the valve. You shouldn't normally here a click just plugging it in. I think I would take a good look at the ground side of that vent solenoid. Seems it may be shorted to ground before it gets to the PCM . Or the driver in the PCM for that circuit could be bad. Never seen that one though.

  31. No worries; to each their own I put them on more for function than looks. The Fuel wheels have an aggressive +1 offset which had them about an inch wider than the body. I was concerned about throwing rocks and whatnot along the side so I opted to protect it with the flares. Josh

  34. After owning a few sets of Cooper tires, my experience is to expect them to last to their 50,000 mile warranty. If maintained properly, they will last a long time. They are only 5,000 miles under the AT3's, not bad for a snow rated tire. Sent from my crappy iPhone 6 using Tapatalk

  35. The bed is two pieces on these, and where they meet there is V shape above the wheel well in the sheet metal that is created. Salt and dirt collect here, stay moist, and rust the metal. There are three washout plugs on the upper backside of the rear fender just above the upper lip. Pull them out and flush with lots of high pressure water a couple times a year, especially in the spring. If you have rear wheel well liners (i.e. rust collectors) remove them and throw them away and then you can get at these plugs, otherwise they will be hidden. there are also a bunch of these plugs on the ba

  42. That's the absolute worst type of neighbor to have, a cop caller. I mean calling and complaining for every little thing you ever do. Trust me, the officers and the dispatchers will get tired of the nonsense after a while and they will be told to stop calling. After that if they continue calling for nonsense, they can be cited themselves. Hang in there and don't get yourself in trouble, things will work out. They can try to file whatever type of complaint they want. As long as you are not extremely loud after the local curfew, there is absolutely nothing that can be done.

Now just waiting for some bids to come back on the master bath changes and the patio changes and then we will sit down with the construction coordinator and find out where we fall in the build schedule. Hopefully break ground in the next 12 weeks, looking at being completed after the new year. So far most of the changes the wife and I are both on board with and agree to. garage should be decent once it is done, it will be almost 4 cars worth of space. 46. To the ones basically saying that chrome is ghetto seem to be close minded. It's one thing to not like chrome, but then to say it's ghetto are stuck in a box. Of course too much chrome or a bunch of chrome plastic pieces from the parts store is ghetto and/or tacky. I remember when I got my 98 I was only 19 and I was in a chrome phase. But then I got out of it so when I got rid of that and got this truck I planned on blacking it out completely. Then I saw how good chrome looks on black so I'm rethinking that. I don't mind some chrome, but can be too much. I will probably have the bumpers black
