  3. Sorry fellas! You're right, I shoulda kept on reading! LOL I have run my own mileage tests for my truck in 5 mph increments using multiple 2-way averages on the flattest roads around and run them at night when the wind is calm.

  5. I’ve had both. I’ve never had a tape on come off and I had a set of those for 8 years on my Ram. And I live in New England. So it got weather. The in channel ones look really nice but the problem I had (only with drivers window - the most often up and down) was that after a while the in channel one would drop down like an inch or two when the window was open while driving and get popped back in when the window came up until one time the window str8 up snapped it and it flew off. I also noticed that it scratched the top edge of the window that fits into the channel with it after a few yrs. I

  9. I read through the post and Swathdiver is correct on the tire pressure I run a higher load range and higher pressure because I tow a fifth wheel trailed with it and have a heavy load in the truck. If your just normal day to day driving then pic the appropriate load tires and run lower pressure, I'm sure you will love them. I'm just to lazy to keep changing the pressure so I suffer in the rain! LOL.

  14. Supposedly the correct way to adjust the mirrors is to sit in normal driving position and adjust driver side mirror to where the very rear of the car is just out of view. And for the passenger side you lean over to the center of the car and adjust the passenger mirror to where the rear of the vehicle is barely in the view while leaning over. I've tried it, it's different and hard to get used to because it's out of the norm. I moved them back to what I was comfortable with and just physically turn my head and look before I switch. On another note, I have the crash detection in my high country

  16. Hey guys just talked to GM and they informed that the order banks for 2020 Silverado's/Sierra's are now open. I'm not talking about the HD trucks either. I got tired of my local dealer telling me I couldn't order and trying to sell me what was on the lot and got in touch with GM directly. Happy ordering.

  17. I have the in-channel. The only complaint I have is sometimes the driver's window rolls back down if it fits too tight. Seems to depend on the temperature. I had the tape on kind on my old truck and after a while the tape came loose and I had to take them off. Getting the old tape off the paint was a pain.

  21. My recirculate stays on as well. I've had the "climate off" show up only twice on my RST since Feb. Everything works as it should just shows climate off when you turn the fan speed knob but cleared up on the next restart.

  23. Yes, but the 2019 new body engines L82, L84 and L87 benefit from an improved rocker cover with integral separation over the L83 and L86 rocker covers with integral separation.

  24. Wow. 92 they went thin on paint because of the EPA. Can’t believe factory paint is still there, no flaking. Think its a Enamel. You could wipe with degreaser solvent to remove waxes, lightly scuff with 600 scotchbrite..spray her with 2 coats of clear. I’d add fisheye eliminator to the clear “just in case”. Ain’t much paint on that. You can’t buff it out. Be careful scuffing the body lines prior to clear. Lightly..

  27. I'm still waiting to see a stock tune from any 2019 model. I'm not sure how anyone is tuning these new trucks yet when even HP Tuners hasn't released any information about being able to get into the new computers yet. Even if the truck has the old AFM/6L80e setup, I haven't seen anything come up about them. I even googled the Fireball package and couldn't find anything about the 2019 truck specifically, they had pictures of the K1xx series trucks.

  29. They are impressive little things man! My wife is a manager at ATT and gets to take home display models sometimes when they get swapped for a new display. Needless to say we have a damn army of them haha. Most are waterproof too so if you forgot it in the truck bed you’d be ok. Ultimate ears have some really nice options big and small, you can link multiple speakers together as well to put in different rooms or around the yard outside at a cookout. Those are the ones I use the most. I’ll take them kayak fishing/camping and use them a long time before they die, loud and good sound quality. We

  30. The old fashioned boom box works real well at a fraction of the cost. I got one I use at outside events never a complaint about quality or not loud enough. As far as sitting in a random parking lot full of people, it’s really annoying when someone is blaring their music. Earbuds work really well in those situations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  33. Use the right tool for the job. I had the same thing when I spent 2 days detailing the truck. Even after taping I still had residue get on the tailgate handle. I had this in my box of detailing must-haves. Worked like a champ, removed the white residue, and left a nice finish on the handle. Magic Erasers work for alot of things, though I have read stories where it caused issues with finishes, I personally dont use them for any related to detailing. http://www.mothers.com/02_products/06141.html#&slider1=17

  34. Not for me. I always back in my parking spot at home and my right tire is inches away from the curb because of this senile old lady and her huge Eldorado, long story, but I need to see my right rear tire when I back in.

  35. Don't mean to be negative but I agree with the above post. Only thing safety related on my truck that I don't have that I think would be helpful are the parking sensor things. That and maybe some extra cameras. First time truck owner here so some extra assurance when parking would have been nice but not enough of a big deal for me to justify upgrading from the LT. So far I haven't hit anything and parking has been relatively easy, granted I go for easy spots so to speak. I set my mirrors to have as little blind spot as possible. I personally think most people don't know how

  41. Thank you. Yes I replaced the screen and did the oil pressure sensor about 6 months ago when it failed. The screen was spotless and clean, my sensor was bad. I have tried 5W40 this change and so far so good for 250 miles. We will see how long it lasts. I will look at the new oil. It does sound interesting. I will be having the ECU reprogrammed next week to eliminate DOD. I get 15.2 MPG all the time and I do not think 2-5% in economy matters. I understand 250K is a lot to expect and know I will be rebuilding it at some point but I have a great starting point (no cracks no k

  43. You guys know that all it does is change the resistance output of the petal. If you press on the pedal 20% then (it matters on the setting) it send out that you pressed 25%. the vehicle will feel more responsive but in reality it just changes the output of the drive by wire resistance. My numbers are not exact in anyway. No one will listen but that ok, there are a couple of people online that has verified this is how it works. Here is one link: https://offroadwarehouse.com/n-10804-pedal-commander-review.html

  48. You said it. BAD use of a badge that was once loved, in a vain attempt to generate some attention for yet another cookie-cutter unibody CUV. Had hopes for the new Blazer to be a worthy competitor to the new Ford Bronco and new Jeep Wrangler. But we went from big, tough, square, body-on-frame, deep off road capable, V8 engined SUV to what amounts to a jacked-up station wagon (Chevy Outback, anyone?) for the soccer moms and soy boys to drive to the mall.

  49. Added a dual USB adapter for the rear seat passengers. Very easy to do, total time took me about 20 minutes and that's because I finished my beer and had to get another one. The rear panel just pops off, grab it from the bottom and pull out. It then kind of lifts upward, unplug the 12 volt plug and that's it. Drill your hole, mount the adapter and tie into the plug wires on the right side of the panel. Or you can run them to the front if you want a constant 12v running to it. I wanted it to turn off with the truck so I just tapped into the wires there on the other plug. I didn't take pics wh
