  2. Don’t up the size of the fuse. I would use something that won’t leave you stranded if you were to blow them and not have a spare fuse. (Radio, Heater, etc..). For my LEDs I tied into the trailer running light fuse under the hood so mine would come on when the lights were on. (My leds are mood lighting in the floorboards.) they have a separate switch so I can turn them off if I’m tired of them.

  3. Like everyone here has already mentioned, the AT4 is a Denali minus all the shiny bits. I was originally shopping for a Denali because I was uneducated on the AT4. I assumed to get all the cool new tech items, I had to go Denali, then I met a pretty cool sales guys that educated me on the AT4. As for the interior, I personally couldn't really feel the difference in the interior quality. The leather in my 2020 AT4 feels just like the leather in my Yukon Denali. And even as much as I love black interior, I really like the kalahari inserts, even thought I hated it in pictures. It looks orange in the pics. In the end, you can't go wrong with either truck, just depends on your taste.

  8. I am so excited, I can't wait to have the shop get this installed on the AT4 My shop is calling RC to figure out what's need for 35x12.5R17, as I really don't want to run 20s... Fingers crossed they can figure something out!

  9. How’s it going guys? So i recently switched from factory cloth to leather katzkins. I have a 2017 silverado with the cocoa dune interior. What do you guys think of the modification? I personally like it but feel it might be a tad loose in some places, not very loose. I’m posting some before and after pics. Do you guys think the installation was a success or could the upholstery shop done a better job? And i know my truck needs a good vacuuming, any good at home vacuums that you guys would recommend?

  10. Corporate stores and Independent stores are going to be different for sure. The couple that are near me are all independent stores. Prices are around the $10-12 per quart for most signature series and a tad cheaper for the XL stuff if I remember right. And you can get gallon jugs of the most popular stuff like 0W20, 5W20, 5W30. Both the signature series and XL stuff and the gallon jugs are little cheaper than buying 4 individual quarts.

  13. Yes I believe that was one I went in for. I haven't noticed a difference but I didn't really have a good baseline to judge that from. All my towing has been after the update.

  14. I went with AC Delco Dexron VI full synthetic at the recommendation of a friend who builds racing transmission and race cars. He is a GM guy, and engineer by trade. He has a Silverado 3500 that pulls his car hauler and gigantic camper. For what I do (daily driver, hauling a light load (5x8 landscape trailer hauling tree stands, ATV hunting gear, tree trimmings).

  15. Search for this "Fernco PQC-102 2" Qwik Cap". Its what I used. You don't need the clamp that comes with it. This works very well.

  18. Good lord, as of today, “EVERYTHING NEW” is isn’t without its issues. There was a guy that pulled up behind my truck, he said “oh, you’ve got the older with those issues, I calmly looked at him and said “ and you’ve got one of the new ones with a whole lot of problems of their own too” and proceeded to point at those up on the racks with all of them having disassembled motors and then I said, before you know it, you may need to take a number. Right before I drove off, one of the techs walked by and said very nice truck, guy with the 2020 said thanks, tech responded with “I wasn’t talking about yours” and then I got a thumbs up by the tech. Couldn’t make me love my truck even more than seeing new trucks up on the rack and one of those techs complimenting my truck ;)[emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Not according to federal law. I don't give a [emoji90] about the labor being warranted if I do the work myself. However, they can't void the parts warranty unless I've done something to alter or modify the part in any way. It's the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. And, on accessories.chevrolet.com, when you click on the Warranty button for any given accessory it does not state that warranty only applies if a dealership technician installs it. Saying such amounts to tarradiddle. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  24. ¨ Optional Equipment (G80 Order Code) on all GM two-wheel and four-wheel drive light trucks and sport utilities. Benefits ¨ Improved traction differentiates the vehicle relative to other rear wheel and four-wheel drive vehicles on the market. ¨ Maintenance free; requires no lube additives. ¨ Enhanced towing and off-road performance. ¨ Patented carbon friction disc technology enhances performance and durability while reducing warranty claims. Principles of Operation ¨ Wheel speed difference (left to right) in excess of 100 RPM will cause a flyweight mechanism to open and catch a latching bracket. ¨ The stopped flyweight will trigger a self-energizing clutch system, which results in the cam plate ramping against a side gear. ¨ Ramping increases until both axles turn at the same speed (full lock), which prevents further wheel slip. ¨ At speeds above 20MPH, the latching bracket swings away from the governor and prevents lockup from occurring. Technical Specifications ¨ Automatic locking takes place within a fraction of a second, so smoothly that it is unnoticed by the average driver. ¨ Unlocking occurs automatically, once the need for improved traction is gone, and is unnoticeable to the average driver. ¨ Compatible with anti-lock brake systems.

  25. Once my stock of Edge oil and Wix filters are gone for our Honda I'm going to switch to Amsoil OE oil and Boss oil filters for it. This is partly due to the Greek's preaching and my experience with Amsoil in my ATV.

  26. I've had this on other GM vehicles that I've leveled, sounds to me that either the upper strut mount bolts are shifting and need to be tightened or the lower strut mount bolts are shifting and need to be tightened.

  27. I personally wouldn’t try to blow it myself. Just try to find a fuse that is rated to whatever your gonna try to power. The add a circuit will only carry so much also... from what you say you want to power they should be fine. I’m not sure about the air horn but you might could just go straight off the battery with an in line fuse in the new power line. Put the inline fuse within 12 inches of the battery though. Take your time and do it right. Don’t burn down your rig trying to do more than the wires can handle...Have fun.

  28. I will tell you all these dealers are the same. I've had mine repaired three times at the same place and each time they act like they have no idea about this issue.

  29. Emissions carries a 8 year/80,000 mile "warranty" per federal law. I don't remember the exact term, nor what's covered. Just know that I've had the benefit of it before. That's not just a GM thing, but is applicable to all makes and models sold in the US per federal law. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  30. You do realize that all the manufacturers have problems. I am always repairing the wife's 2017 Ford which she got when the new Ram she was test driving broke down when the engine just grenaded. I have had a few issues with my Chevy but I fix it just like I would have to do with any other brand of truck. They are all made as cheap as possible to make the most profit. 31. Leather is different. I really like my AT4 HD interior with the accents. I couldn’t tell the difference in leather quality between the two. The other difference is the off road aspects: off road mode (more aggressive and advanced hill decent control), skid plate and an Eaton locking rear differential. All the options on the Denali can be added to the AT4. It’s essentially a color matched Denali with some off road stuff. I took every option accept for the roof lights and sun roof. Never used the sun roof and had them in all my cars / SUVs accept my last two trucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  32. It’s ridiculous. Now if it was a recall, they’d get right on it! ?

  33. I just went through this and wanted the AT4 but the discounts where bigger for a denali so that’s what I ended up with. To answer you question tho... the only difference is the leather used in the Denali is a better quality and feels better to me. Also the Denali uses the same leather on the back seats. AT4 and below all use “synthetic leather” for the back seats. As far as tech and options you can equip them identically. at4 also comes standard with the all weather floor mats which is a 200$ add on to the Denali.

  36. YYC-Sierra, thank you for the write up. I was going to take my truck to the stealership but after seeing this, I picked up AC Delco 75/90, 75/85 and AC Delco full synthetic trans fluid and did the rear diff and transfer case myself tonight. Doing the front diff tomorrow. This was the first service at 52K and to be honest, the transfer case fluid was still red, the rear gear lube was dark but not a whole lot of metal on the magnets. I feel better now that it's done. I would have done the front diff tonight but I have a skidplate that needs to be removed, didn't feel like doing it in the dark.

  39. I think I'll take GM's word on this one. From the service manual, Spark Plug Gap - 0.037–0.043 in. .040 is right on the money. Throw'em in.

  40. Baked my headlights and removed the orange reflector and painted the housing black. It took a lot of effort, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Sorry for the dirty truck and the crappy pics, it won't stop snowing here.

  41. I beleive I may have found the chirping issue. I think it is the idler pulley. I sprayed it with wd-40 and the chirp went away for a while. I'm now debating whether or not to bother with the dealer or just swap out the part. Its only 35 bucks and one bolt so not sure it's worth the time to bring it to the dealer... Anyone had the idler pulley replaced to eliminate the chirp and not had it work?
