  1. Diesel has gone up 50 cents a gallon in the past couple weeks. The price has been unchanged for the last two years. It’s only the start of prices to rise on everything. My middle finger goes to Joe Biden. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I have a 2019 SLT without the NHT/Max Tow, but with the Z82 trailering package, factory trailer brake controller, trailering app, and the IOT radio. The truck did not come with the trailer TPMS; not only did it not come with the sensor, but it also didn't come with the module that goes behind the rear license plate. Not realizing that a separate module was needed, I ordered the sensors first. That obviously did nothing, as the truck did not recognize them. So I then ordered the module from eBay. My truck had the wiring harness already ran to module location, so when the module arrived I j

  5. T1 5.3 does drive better than K2. I own a K2 (tuned and E85) and stock for stock there is a driving difference between them. I'm sure the couple hundred lbs weight loss helped too but I think the 8 and 10 speeds let the 5.3 shine some more over the 6 speed.

  10. IMO, first thing to upgrade is tires. Do NOT oversize as that will hurt performance, larger tires (diameter) will increase gear ratio and make engine work harder. Go to load range C, D or ever E rated tires. They will hold up better than standard 1500 load range B passenger rated tires. When I worked for the DOT I cannot tell you how many tourists we would encounter with blown out tires that could not handle the heat from the extra weight. GET GOOD TIRES.

  12. If you're talking about the vent leds, I'm not sure exactly how @Firehawk T/A did his, but for mine I posted it on page 278 with a video. I also linked to the lights I used. They are white with amber flowing turn signals. I realized that my initial idea of it would not work just to slap the lights against the vent inside edge because the inside edge has a fairly large lip in scale with the lights.. so I used some silicone to create a raise to push out the lights to the front more. This helped to give a direct line of sight to the light to create a similar look to the c shape for th

  14. 2021 Sierra 1500 AT4 3.0L diesel, Bilstein 5100’s all around and Cognito UCA’s went on today. Front set to highest 1.1”. It’s more level and feels more solid all around. I’m going to the mountains again this weekend, 500 mile round trip. Should be a good test and I did the trip two weeks ago on the stock ranchos for comparison. @ero2 I can’t remember which thread you saw my post in so I’m just going to tag you here. eta, still have the stock 18” wheels and duratrac 275/65r18’s on. May try to fit some 285/70’s in a month or two.

  16. Nne of my friends owned a drive-line repair shop from circa 1980-2010 and I often had him change over my trucks to AMSOIL because he was the best. He once said that the QL's with the new ATF flushing machines was the best thing ever for his business. He was the best and only ASE trans shop in the area, even the oem dealers would sublet work to him. Even get an occasional blown engine when they forget to add the oil after an oil change, happened to a lady I knew to her Chevy Lumina. Made it 5 miles and engine seized up, they never put oil back in.

  17. Yes it does. One of the main reasons I bought it. I’ve watched a couple of videos of guys using the 2x4 and ratchet strap. This pan is a little thicker than the stock at its thinnest point. Hopefully I can get enough clearance.

  20. Instead of deeper pan, you can add a trans cooler (tru-cool 40k) and do a trans thermostat mod (look it up on YT... it’s free and reversible if needed. Takes 5 mins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. And they wouldn't be wrong IMHO. News Flash for OEM's. This boy don't buy vehicles with slush boxes and no stick or serviceable filter. I'm in no danger of running out of vehicles that do have sticks in my lifetime.

  22. 6 speed or 8 speed trans? I'd like to add a deeper pan but I'd like to offroad my truck next year and having some space between my fabricated skid and pan would be nice. Post pics of how low it hangs once installed? That'd a solid upgrade [emoji108] Sent from my SM-G986U1 using Tapatalk

  25. I know its an old thread, but I made an adapter to hold a Method NV305 with the stock tire hoist. Should work for any aftermarket wheel with a 108mm hub bore. Part is made of aluminum so it wont rust or damage the wheel. If people a re interested I could make a batch.

  26. Hey all, I installed the OEM black GMC letters on my AT4 this weekend and thought I would pass this shortcut along. If you don't mind being a bit destructive and want to take the easy route - just pry the red insert off of the factory emblems and it exposes the retaining clips. Insert a screw driver and they pop right off. No grill removal required. I had one or two tangs that didn't immediately snap back in on the new emblems. apply a bit of pressure to the grill tab with either your finger or a flat blade screw driver from behind until it clicks. You are good to go.

  28. I know it's not the same, since I'm still in the baby carrier stage but we put it in the middle of the rear. It juts a bit over the center console but not bad and honestly he likes being able to look up and back and see me. We have the britax Endeavors carrier. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

  29. Watch any of Joe's recent interviews and it's apparent that the White House is nothing more than a memory care unit, meanwhile the inmates are running the asylum. Sad for Joe, and even sadder for the country. I'm worried, really, really worried for my children and grandchildren.

  30. It's just interesting to me to watch the growing tension/frustration of the number 1 "so-called" T***t* driver as the season progresses. Congrats to #5Larson for winning only his fourth race with his new team. No practice; just jump in the car and drive. Oh, yeah; Bubba finished 25th.

  32. Thanks to all you guys that replied to my post. Special thanks for the bulletin on this issue. This harsh shift is less noticeable now that the temps in my area are getting above freezing, finally. It is still harsh even when going in reverse first before forward. AT ANY RATE: This is bullcrap that GM couldn’t even be bothered to fix this issue, they can call it normal all they want but its a flippin’ defect for sure. Any idiot knows that repeated harsh shifts will eventually wear/ break apart clutches, not to mention metal fatigue over time! Grrrrr!!!! Thanks to

  33. I would think that if the alternator has to run at full output all the time, it might be time for a new battery. I read somewhere that the charging system for the GMT900s was not designed for AGM batteries, something about charge rates. I cannot remember where I read this and while ACDelco makes AGM batteries, they do not recommend them for the 900s. My alternator frequently drops down to 12-13 volts as the battery is fully charged while cruising.

  34. Dual exhaust isn't going to let it breath any better unless it's true duals where you have 4 cylinder going into their own pipe out the back. If the dual exhaust is happening after the factory y-pipe with 2 or 3 cats plus the merge, the dual exhaust is purely for sound and looks.

  36. ^^ This ^^ If you have a 2016 .... there is a recall. Check NHTSA - even if you have gone beyond the 36k Limited Warranty, they were suppsed to "take the steps necessary to be sure the service update correction has been made before..... releasing the vehicle [no matter what service the vehicle was at the dealership for]" during the Limted Warranty. For example, my 2016 GMC Yukon SLT (with "Performance Package Enhanced Towing" RPO = NHT) did not register during my service visits to the dealership(s) while under "New Vehicle Limited Warranty" because the RPO for recalled

  38. Looking at that pic, that plastic channel where you have the yellow line, that's what cracks, and then it leaks. Usually it's either cracked already in multiple places, or it's getting ready to be. Usually it leaks just as your arrows show...HOWEVER, sometimes the plastic cracks all the way and you can actually see the crack below where your yellow line is. And it'll leak right at that spot, too and won't usually run along the top of that ledge and down in the corner. I HAVE seen water come from where the orange arrow is. That's just the windshield urethane there. It's really
