  1. After years of detailing everyone else’s vehicles, I was able to share some love with mine. Finally was able to do a single step correction and ceramic coating I used the cquartz UK and topped it with Reload.

  2. The market for Transmission repair is forecast to reach $259.8 million by 2025. OE lubes often are equal to the performance quality of the cheapest aftermarket oils. It does mean just because GM installed it its the best lube, it only means its good enough for GM. Look at all the problems with the ATF on the 8speeds.

  3. Help us out a little. What year truck, what transmission? How many miles? Has it ever been serviced? What kind of noise? Clunk, clack, click, whining...some clues would help.

  4. What did I do to my truck today? Well I finally found it at a dealership in another state, so I drove there and finally after months of waiting have my incredible 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 Carbon Pro with the 6.2L and tech package. These trucks are amazing.

  5. Lots of my driving is by choice. If gas gets expensive or short supply I can drive something different or stay home. ( that’s a administration issue more that a short supply issue.) My electric use is more for comfort and living. I can regulate my gas use easier than my electric use. I can use different fuels too. The problem is it’s the same the electric co uses. The alternative coal is dirty. Nuke power loss favor. The one that makes the most sense. A movie a Russian accident and Japan rendered nuke to non favor. We have plenty of fossil fuels it powers everything. Nuke is the answer. Are we smart enough to use it yet?

  6. I have a 3X2 AT4 lift on GMC elevation.....i put a UCA on because of experience for one and after i did 3 people showed up to shop i had mine done that leveled their TB and broke their stock arms....its just physics man, arms can only do so much within a certain range.....dont have to be expensive with a fancy name, just needs to correct the angle....the stock units are pretty pathetic when you see them off the truck in hand.....i already had wear on the boot in 3k miles on mine (b4 lifting).. rather be on minimum side than maximum side....even if it doesnt break at maximum capacity the binding wont be good for ride quality........way i look at it anyway .

  7. The aftermarket is resilient. In a short while someone will be selling small shops machines and outfits like B&M will be selling dipstick kits. When that happens I'll give it a look. Until then....I'll keep what I have....

  9. Sorry about the late reply. I did. First two photos are after the 1" rear block install, the last two just the front Bilstein leveling shocks.

  10. On the issue of gas and electricity supply, my perspective is I feel more in control of my electrical consumption than gas. My driving habits have fuel savings at top of mind while still enjoying my truck. There is more I could do but such steps would involve my truck staying in the driveway. I'd rather add wait time to my "fill-up" process than further reduce my driving time. If I had a plug-in at home vehicle, I can still find ways to reduce my home electrical use to compensate for the extra demands of vehicle charging. I appreciate people are concerned about future strain on power but gas shortages are also a threat. Many of us have experienced periods of gas shortages. As Karnut suggested, we can always have a generator on hand to charge our cars and power our coffee makers! You can't plug in your gas dependent vehicle if your local stations are out of fuel!

  11. Of course time will ultimately judge if or when a conversion is worthwhile. Fuel is the biggest drain on my entertainment budget because I love to drive! The issues of range and development will continue to improve. Waiting for the perfect time to switch from gas to electric reminds me of computer shopping in the 1990's. A faster more efficient version would be available by the time you were able to unbox your new purchase. To add to this analogy I remember sitting with a group of peers early in the years of computers who were adamant that a personal computer is a passing phase. The novelty of staring at a screen will pass quickly!

  13. No I agree. But the numbers quoted just werent there. By the time you figured 10k in equity, then dealer profit on top of that, the new asking price for that vehicle would have been 5-10k over MSRP when it was new 2-3 years ago. But looking at the quoted deal above, its form car max, they buy and sell high. That deal if it went through which I doubt, would never happen with a dealer.

  14. Maybe but I don't think so. I've seen my style circle icons on a few 2016's. The new 2019 circle icons look totally different. If you find something out please let me know. Thanks

  15. Yes. Hence my drain and fill taking 45 minutes less than yours, and in the comfort of my driveway.

  16. Went through that with a Ford lease two weeks on my wife Arcadia purchase at GM dealer. So Ford is doing it too. They are protecting their dealers and like you said trying to funnel those cars back. I cant imagine any real offers going through for 65 their cheaper than that brand new right now. 55 seems the high water mark at most. But then again it depends on your area I guess. But get it while you can if you can, chips are flowing back in now, and once the glut of new stuff hits the lots the game is over.

  21. I have a 2021 6.2L TrailBoss with the 3.0L Whipple. GM performance upgrade package which was the air intake and cat-back exhaust. I had the work done by National Speed Inc. They dyno tuned it to 535whp. I too have the trans issues with the truck. Nothing major but a little stumble once in awhile. Until we can get the 10 speed unlocked I believe it is what it is. I really have no complaints. The truck runs the ¼ mile just as fast as my 2015 C7 Corvette Stingray and that's on the stock 265/60R20 tires. A full size (5,300+ lbs) truck running the ¼ mile in the 12s is an awesome experience. The truck just rolled over 2,000 miles.

  24. Yep! During Irma, I had only 5 gallons and ran out about a day and a half in. I was lucky, a friend had 15 gallons to share since his power came back. I, now, keep 15 gallons on hand, with Stabil, of course, so I'm good for about 6 days on the generator. However, as you mentioned, once you have it, you might not need it, but it's better that way. I think it's @dieselfan1who has something similar in his sig. EDIT, sorry, that's @Ravenkeeper

  25. I just swapped one out of an LT model. Pretty straight forward. You will need the lower trim panel listed below if the center console doesn’t have it. https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-lower-panel-84127263

  27. That's the real problem with issues like this not being fixed, this has been a problem on three model year trucks now. The real issue is we're seeing a lot of people getting sub-par repairs, paint damage etc. Plus after a while there's only so much you can go back to the dealer and complain about. It's like sending a meal back at a restaurant, you don't want to do it more than once, if you do you don't want to eat what they replace it with. My guess is it's simply cost cutting, GM hopes that slathering a $12 tube of sealant on it holds it till you are past 3/36, because after that, it's your $ to fix it, not theirs. "Normal Operation" has become the new cop-out for GM. GM is earning that least reliable vehicle "award" that Consumer Reports gave them last year, I'd imagine they'll be a repeat winner this year as well.

  28. I would hesitate to put a real locker in the 8.2" front diff. Maybe a limited slip would be a bit easier on the small parts in that small diff. Particularly in the 2500 with it's additional weight compared to the 1500.

  30. It’s Sunday so yesterday still counts. Baby has new shoes. BFG KO2’s. Run them on my Jeep and swear by them. So far she’s de-badged and tinted. Next up is either a level or 2” lift. Haven’t decided yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solved this issue a while back-Go to Home Depot and in the Plumbing Department get a 2" PVC DWV flexible cap discard the hose clamp and it slips on and of perfectly . https://www.homedepot.com/p/2-in-PVC-DWV-Flexible-Cap-PQC-102/100372303?cm_mmc=Shopping|THD|google|D29B+Bath+Vanities&mid=s9JnGEXSz|dc_mtid_8903syd25186_pcrid_41293307497_pkw__pmt__product_100372303_slid_&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_Z-Hqsf62AIVW57ACh34bAkWEAQYASABEgIEW_D_BwE
