  1. I've had my 2014 LTZ for 5 years now but just recently decided to "dress" her up. I couldn't afford a new truck and I'm amazed at how I have found a new love for my old girl.   2. Did you send tuff country those pics ? Im pretty sure those are not going to fit. You can't spread the brackets. That guy is a moron. I'd return them and spend a little more. Kryptonite, Cognito are the only two I would use.

  3. 35” on now, no rubbing and installed raptor style grill. Next up, remove front and rear bumper and remove all chrome.

  7. You shouldn't have to use any additional sealing liquid. If it's leaking, the leaks would need to be repaired. Two reasons I can think off that would cause freon to leak from compressor; 1, Bad compressor. 2, you have a blockage in your system causing very high pressure.

  8. I had a place tune the tcm to approx 50% tm, and had another tcm with 0 tm I used for track and weekends.

  9. I've said this since I owned this new truck. It would take my old 2006 SS Trailblazer. Which was a beast 0-60 but the 4 speed hindered it terribly at the higher speeds. I could hang with Vettes within a city block but after that it was bye, bye. This new truck scoots, along with the exhaust and intake, it really woke it up. That's why I'm tempted on pulling trigger on the Diablo tune. But $700 is a lot without enough people who have done it to justify.

  15. Yes, agree also, thanks. Plan to remove the wheels this weekend and have a look for myself. I don't believe that it is the brake pads themselves that are rusted, rather its something with the brake caliper/pad that is causing concern, whatever it is my mechanic indicated that its not typical. I will try and post a pic over the weekend if I get a chance. Yes the outer edges of the rotors do take a beating due to the winter conditions here in VT and show rust. However that is not the concern and why it wouldn't pass the safety inspection. If that was the case very few vehicles pass VT safety inspection. For example our other car has 32K miles and has similar rust on the outside edge of the rotor but passed inspection without a problem. Will report back with what the dealership has to say.   17. Thanks. Yes it does have those plus a trifold bed cover and spray in liner. I’m thinking of removing the running boards and adding a borla exhaust similar to my ‘14 crew cab LTZ. Really like these style Chevy crews

  19. So I recently went through this. I have a 2021 5.3 10 Speed Trail Boss. I previously had a 2020 RST which I installed the Borla Touring exhaust on it. I was happy with it. I installed the same exhaust system on my TB, and for some reason wasn't as happy with it. I blamed it on the 10 speed which shifts much more, and keeps the RPMs down better than the 8 speed. A co-worker put a new exhaust on his truck, and it made mine sound stock...so last month I contacted Borla and asked if I could buy the S Type Muffler. They sold it to me, and I installed it about a week ago. 15 minute job, just swap out one section. Initially I loved it, but after a couple weeks I went back to the Touring. It sounds good, but it's pretty loud outside the truck. Inside it was remarkably quiet for the noise it made outside. Really impressed with what Borla can do as far as drone. I'm happy back on the Touring system now. My motivation was I wanted it a little louder than the Touring, but the s type ended up being more than what I wanted.. I loved the sound, but I just felt for me it was too loud for my daily. I have an s type system on my C5 Corvette and LOVE IT. On a side note, anyone with a GM Performance Cat Back or Touring that wants to upgrade to the S Type let me know. I have the muffler sitting in my garage that I need to get rid of.

  21. Just got a call from my mechanic… After going back with a fresh head and a good nights sleep he found a ground wire that didn’t get tightened… Problem solved !!!! Thank you guys for your input means a lot…

  22. Just like any vehicle out there. When it's new, still under warranty. People treated like they stole it because most repair will mostly done under warranty... what happen after warranty??? Suddenly wallet starts to get lighter and lighter... now it's no longer a reliable truck. People starts to DEMAND for safety recall even tho it's not even related to safety issue. I'm sure people will say, c'om, I treated like it's my first child, like my first wife... guess what? Its probably someone else first wife now and someone else first child too. What I'm trying to say is, get one with a service history. If the truck has nothing but warranty done, I would walk away, you know they treated like their first wife. If all you see is the normal work done suck as oil change, brake change, tire rotation, etc. You know they treated like their only wife.

  23. That would be a carburetor thing. GDI could care less. Fuel isn't vaporized before the intake valve...right? It's atomized via extreme pressures and in the cylinder. As far as the fuel tables are concerned the volumetric efficiency of a GDI is based on the pressure in between the TB and the inlet valve. Not the atmosphere as would be the case with a carb, TBI or SPFI system. So any gain in MAP in the intake manifold translates to the cylinder in kind and like. I got schooled on this with the Harley Davidson SPI tuning software. If the TB is small the VE can still be 98% it's just 98% of a much less dense reference point.

  24. 2019 AT 4 with 5.3 DFM disabled. Borla S type cat back. Absolutely love it. Cold start is loud but it quickly settles in and sounds great! Was installed shortly after purchase of truck in 2019. Zero complaints.

  25. Here's my 2 cents. The load index and max psi varies from tire to tire, so there isn't a "perfect" number as many other members have illustrated. Go with what feels right to you! My truck has approx 58/42 weight split. There's absolutely no reason the run the rear tires at the same PSI as the front, except if you're towing or hauling a lot. Watch your tire wear, and on the front pay attention to wear beyond the shoulder of the tread (aka rolling onto the sidewall). If it's doing that and your alignment is good - it needs more PSI. For example, if you have a really square tread tire, like a Continental Terrain Contact - you could probably run 30 PSI and never roll onto the sidewall. I have Pirelli Scorpion Verde Plus 2 - which is the complete opposite and very rounded - I like running a tad more (33-34) because I don't like how it rolls onto the sidewall. The rear - PSSH - lower it until your TPMS gets mad and bump it 1 PSI from there. For reference, my rears are at 26 PSI and I wish I could do 23/24. Heck, I had a ECSB NBS Silverado that I ran 20-22 PSI. The chalk test has gained popularity lately, but a well-trained eye can see the same thing without chalk. And because I anticipate people saying: "that's a dangerously low amount of tire pressure - yada yada - I've driven a solid 100,000 miles between these two trucks at the stated rear pressures (including lots of ranch roads) and have never had issues.

  26. I have 275/60R20 (33") Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires on mine now. They are not LT but are SL tires. When I had the OEM Goodyears on there, I never followed the 32psi but ran it at 35-36psi. It was actually recommended by a Chevy tech one time when I had it in for service and it felt about right. I tried the same with the Falkens for several months. The sidewall under the tire seemed to bulge a bit more than I thought it should. I recently bumped it up to about 41psi. The max cold on these are 51psi. I found I have less bulging on the sidewall now. Also when I had them at 35, it seemed to wander and I found myself constantly using small inputs to keep it moving straight. Going to 41 made a big difference. It tracks beautifully now with very little inputs. It does have a firmer ride but no where near bone jarring. I do notice defects in the road a bit more but it's still a decent feeling ride.

  27. Both of those option will be a notch or two quieter than this: Borla makes a very well designed exhaust. It's actually pretty amazing how they can build such a "loud" exhaust that has very minimal (virtually non-existant) drone. I imagine the S-type and touring are pretty similar to the above, just with the volume turned down a level or two.

  28. Saturday, I finally got and installed my BullRing Tie Downs in the bed of my truck. I had them done within 20 minutes, without watching the video. Can't wait to actually put them to use. A week ago yesterday and today, I had four patio heater torches and two fire pits for the chapel on Edwards AFB, getting ready to do outdoor services this winter, since they are still not meeting indoors, nor planning on it in the near future.   29. Yes, it does. That's exactly how the free enterprise market works. Everything in short supply with a high demand will have a higher price. There's a bit of evidence during this that once the shortages are remedied, production numbers may stay lower than before so that the pricing can be elevated going forward. Maybe not much increased, but more inline with MSRP. We've all gotten used to these large rebates, etc, but they may not stick around.

  31. Best exhaust out there in my opinion. Love my Corsa. Unreal how quiet it is at highway speeds. Can’t tell there is exhaust on it till you punch it. Then a big smile rolls up onto my face! Enjoy/Congrats.

  33. Just installed LED lows and highs, license plate and reverse lights in place of the halogen bulbs. Looks way better. Auto One brands for the headlights. Found on Amazon.
