From the Cliff Notes of Atlas Shrugged: ....... Atlas Shrugged was to provide a moral defense of capitalism, the editorial staff responded, "But that would mean challenging 3,000 years of Judeo-Christian tradition." Their depth of philosophical insight impressed Ayn Rand, and she decided that Random House was the company to publish her book. What would happen if the scientists, medical researchers, inventors, industrialists, writers, artists, and so on withheld their minds and their achievements from the world? In this novel, Rand argues that all human progress and prosperity depend on rational thinking. For example, human beings have cured such diseases as malaria, polio, dysentery, cholera, diphtheria, and tuberculosis. *********************************************************** The following is NOT a religious rant nor a political statement but a philosophical query: Matthew 15:9 reads New Living Translation Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’” Other translations sometimes use the phrase "Traditions of men". These were the words of Christ when being questioned by those 'Judeo Leaders'. Both sides of this idea believe THIER idea is correct. The HUMAN IDEA. They claim to be Judeo-Christian while leaving Christ completely out of the discussion save in name. Something Christ condemned. 1 Corinthians 2:16 Paul makes this observation: Amplified Bible For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND and PURPOSES OF THE LORD, SO AS TO INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. The Psalmist noted in 127:1 NKJV : Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. Here's the query then; Why do men believe that their WAY, SYSTEM, TRADTIONS are better than the one who created them? How does one instruct from ignorance? Which problem you can never hope to understand shall you fix? Got a cure for cancer yet?2 points

I hate trying to hitch a trailer in the dark... added some lights, that turned out really well. They are connected to the bed/cargo lights so they work with the switch in the cab. Wires follow the camera wire through the tailgate and under the bed. I tapped the bed lights where they connect in the junction on the drivers side frame rail at the rear behind the spare tire. Drilling through the tailgate bezel was easy, there is plenty of room on the backside too. Torx bits for the access panel and 10mm socket to remove the handle assembly. They work great and they are pretty discreet during the day, they don't stick out very far at all, the yellow lens is more obnoxious in the pictures than in person. LED lights were from Amazon: Amazon link 11mm in cool white, these are more expensive than others, I tried several though and these were the best combination of discreet mounting vs. light output. It takes exactly 6 quarts so probably a case would be good. I also need to get in touch about an analysis on my truck oil in the next couple weeks. I guess you’re the man for that. I’ve previously been using Blackstone.1 point

160,000 Mile Services 9/9/2022 159,979 miles on unit 5,026 miles on oil and filter Have added 16 ounces over this UOA but still full so only 8 ounces used to this point. All makeup CUMMINS RESTORE. Pulled a 3 ounce sample for UOA I've run out of the proper makeup oil and can not find a supply yet. Make up oil for this sample ONLY was BioSynthetic 5W30 per my lab analysis direction. 3 ounces out, 3 ounces in. Unless it says HONDA on the valve cover I NEVER leave oil in longer than 5K and yet I am making an exception pending sample results. Because??? 1.) I really REALLY trust my tribologist. 2.) Entire run has been on 75% E-85 3.) Oil is CUMMINS Valvoline RESTORE 5W30 ******************************************* Okay my mechanic has taken a day job. He has kept only a handful of his best customers. I'm on that list but his time is very limited so I will be doing the ****** and dunk and putting the things I can't on him. This is going to mean I will not be as punctual on services as I would like at times. Just say'n.1 point

Y’all ever see green oil? Mobil 1 0w20 ESP X2 for my wife’s VW. Not a Mobil guy but there are very few meeting the VW 508 spec. I’ll play nice for the warranty, as I read VW checks for their dye in the oil if there’s a problem. Used a Mann filter with it. Then I picked this stuff up for winter use in my Ram. In looking at a VOA I saw online, it’s pretty damn stout. And the price is awesome. Walmart, $25 a jug, plus a $25 rebate on two. I am running Redline at the moment and will do so again next spring. But fuel dilution is a real concern of mine in cold weather…frequent idling and remote starts. Figure I’ll put in this cheap stuff and a new filter in the next couple weeks. Then do a quick oil-only change in December or January to get the fuel out. And then do oil and filter again with Redline in March or April. Seems like the best solution.1 point

Lots of dealers are going to be gone. I was wondering why a local Cadi dealer of many many years no longer it one. The accepted a GM buyout upwards of 1 million $. Only selling less the 25 a year makes converting their business to sell and service EV's a loosing proposition. They would need to invest in infrastructure. training and parts/tools. They say about 17% of the Cadillac dealers accepted the buyouts. Now they are offering it to Buick Dealers. Also;1 point

Just throwing this out there, sometimes weeping seals are are result of a blocked breather. Definitely something to check out while addressing the leak...1 point

I’m the rare type that likes that steely look. Those tires are the A/T LTX 2 and I’ve had great luck with those in the past. These are the “upgraded” 18” steels not the base 17” ones. I will probably go up a size in tire when these wear out though1 point

The steps look really good, sorry no help on the liners . some nice wheels and tires would really make that truck look great . my opinion some bronze wheels would look good on that white, and also match the black trim.1 point

Went to Colorado a couple weeks ago and made some big upgrades before leaving. I needed to get my tent up higher so I could close my tonneau cover. I used 1.5x.120" DOM tubing for the new bed rails. They are mounted to the stake pockets, not the bed side so they can be removed with 4 bolts. After a lot of arguing with myself I used the stock running board brackets and 1.75x.120" DOM for a set of rock sliders. This is not a rock crawler but I did bang them on Black Bear Pass and they survived with no body damage.1 point

Not always. It's a seal made by the thousands, have one fail is not uncommon. If you work in a shop you'd find out rather quick how many rear seals you'd see weeping fluid without a bearing failure.1 point

Don't do that unless it is halogen bulbs. LED's and HID's in a reflector housing just blind the crap out of everyone, regardless of what the bulb maker says or how hard they try to mimic a halogen pattern, they just can't. You get splotchy coverage and dangerous driving for others coming at you. Do it right with a replacement housing. There was a headlight test comparing the outputs of LED's versus halogen bulbs I read recently when shopping for my halogen replacements. The light meter actually read higher (not barely but like 20%+ higher) with upgraded halogen bulbs versus those bright LED's, not to mention coverage was better and cutoff was safer. Tyler1 point

I ordered this time so I could get the exact truck I wanted that didn’t include any features I didn’t want to pay for, like a sun roof. Also, ordering made sure I would actually get one and locked in my price at time of order. The MSRP on my truck was increased twice, about $2500 total, between order and delivery. I didn’t have to pay that increase. Also, I absolutely don’t have a free day to just drive 9 hours for a truck.0 points
