  1. I noticed, a few days ago, when I filled up that the filler hose behind the fuel door was a bit loose. Quite frankly, it may have been that way since I bought the truck but suddenly had a revelation. Anyway, here is the fix if you find this issue with your fuel filler hose behind the fuel door. And, yes, I said "tankless" at the end ... oops!

  2. "On these traction bars you end up drilling through the lleaf sprng to help secure that end." Now, wait, you did what? Drilled through the leaf spring? That can't be good in any scenario, I think.

  3. Oh, it is what is happening. But it is the result not the cause. Our one or two and done window has since long passed thanks to short supply and resistance to guidance. Doctors are also people. Mine was in favor of Ivermectin with zinc and vitamin C early on. He laughs about it now. Doctors use to smoke on TV and tell us Salem was good for a sore throat. Camel calmed one's nerves. 4 out of 5 smoked Chesterfield. And Cowboy heroes told us Marlboro made you a man. Sword cuts both ways if you don't know HOW the virus and vaccine works. There are Doctors that are experts in this field. Some who bent to BOSS pressure sadly. (Say what I tell you or I'll take away your funding pressure) And there are paid expert witnesses who are doctors paid to talk on prime-time radio and NEWS T.V. to advance an agenda. Which is usually poly-ticks discrediting the real experts. Not all that hard to do. Everyone is human.

  4. Decided to sell my Chassis Unlimited Octane front bumper. I ran with this for approximately two years while living in SoCal but have since relocated to Orlando. It's a solid bumper that is very low-profile and doesn't stick out in front very far like most other off road bumpers do. It also has the parking sensor cutouts which is an additional charge from the manufacturer, but I'm keeping my sensors. So you'll need to swap yours over from you current bumper. I'm also including 4 KC HiLites C-series light pods, and a 30 inch Rough Country black series light bar. I don't have the full lengths of the wires that connect the lights to a switch, but I typically cut those off and wire up my own wires anyways. If needed, you can buy them from KC and Rough Country. Minor wear marks in a couple places from the California deserts and mountains, but nothing serious. The biggest mark is on the top of the bumper where the grill rests on the top. There's a light rust mark that can be hit with a quick mist of spray paint if it bothers you, or is fine to be left. It can't be seen once mounted as the grill rests on top of this spot. - Chassis Unlimited Octane Series front bumper - Black powder coated - Parking sensor cutouts - (x4) KC HiLites C-series light pods, amber beam - Rough Country Black Series LED light bar, single row, 30 inches

  5. I understand completely about wanting to earn from a website... But I can barely find the reason I even came to this website because of all the ads that I have to shift through. Lol. Maybe tone it down a nudge. Just my opinion. Other than that... I love all the information.

  6. Last couple of years we have had some, think I live in the opposite Charlie Brown cloud where I get no snow and everyone else get feet of it. I am always impressed how well my truck does in it, have been in the deep stuff in the mountains, and the trace/few inches stuff locally, and never missed a day of work because of it. Actually, kind of therapeutic driving in the mornings with no one else on the roads, just white and very quiet.

  7. I get it, NP, I grew up in the Nort'. I think my brain overheated in our 85 degree temps today. Stay warm! (I do miss the snow though, I have to admit)

  8. You are very welcome, cold outside today, snow coming. The brain just needed a few minutes to warm up

  9. All right, now I get it. There was a member who replaced this before, and now I remember why he took out his taillight. You need number 5, maybe 4 to be safe, and probably not 3, maybe just to be safe? They all are connected, but through the bed of the truck, and the diagram does not show that. So, 2 and 3 are accessible inside the bed, then 4 and 5 are inside the fender well.

  10. Yea, pretty sure #3 slows it down, and #14 makes it easier to lift, and they are not connected/joined in any way. Would just buy #2 and #3 to start. If yours still lifts easy, would say nothing wrong with #14.

  11. Speculation: Reasoning based on inconclusive evidence, conjecture or supposition. A conclusion, opinion, or theory reached by conjecture. Contemplation or consideration of a subject; meditation. You sure you want to take that stand? If so, then how do you make a decision? Casting of lots? Tea leaves? If all are liars, then why go to a doctor at all? Why seek information? Why would you conclude that the vaccine is harmful if that harm is based on a lie? Your words friend, not mine. I have Ash trees. The had Emeral Ash Borers. Deadly to Ash trees. Odd thing about these insects is that they cannot fly more than a mile without finding a new host. Takes about five years to kill a stand of trees. So how does one save those trees? You inoculate them. Much like a vaccine. Kill the insect within the tree for six years. Any host tree within a mile will die as will the invader AND they will move beyond the range of your trees. If you give up say in five years, they will reinvade your trees. The key to knowing how to proceed is in knowing how the insect lives and kills its host. Battling COVID-19 could have been this easy. Someone, even just one, is telling the truth.

  12. Part #2 seems to be the plastic bushing I thought was part #3. I'll just get all the parts for that area to see if I can bring it back. 2 screws, best as I can tell from the diagram. https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/v-2017-chevrolet-silverado-1500--lt--5-3l-v8-gas/body--tailgate

  13. Maybe I misspoke, it is the part that is bolted in the side of the bed, so probably #2. Think it has 3? screws that hold it in and is painted the same color as the truck. It is under load, and think it just wears out. The plastic bushing does nothing as far as the damping goes, think it just "protects" the painted area. Just dawned on me, it is the part the plastic bushing sits on, does not look like it moves, but it does.

  14. I finished the install of the factory tow mirrors on my 2020 Silverado. The passenger car mirrors that come stock are just too small when I’m towing! I’ll be shipping off the VPM to WAMS on Monday for the camera calibration.

  16. I changed my digitizer today. It wasn’t hard to do. The most frustrating part is removing the digitizer from the metal frame due to the adhesive that is used. It’s glued to the frame pretty well. It took some time to heat the adhesive up, remove the digitizer from the frame and then remove as much old adhesive as I could. It would be great if someone made a digitizer already glued to a frame and sell it that way because it would save so much time swapping it out. The metal frame pops right off of the radio.

  17. Yes. However Gin is hard on the gut anymore. Here's my favorite from Brasil. A caipirinha is a traditional Brazilian cocktail that is made with a mix of muddled limes, sugar, crushed ice, and cachaca. Cachaca, pronounced cachaza, is a popular Brazilian sugar cane liquor, similar to rum and aguardiente. You can burn Cachaca in your race car or your 4.3 V6 when you are done drinking! If you can stand up! LOL https://www.laylita.com/recipes/classic-caipirinha-recipe/

  19. I would start with #3, you can access it by taking out/off your taillight. #14 has two screws at the bottom of the tailgate that hold it in place, but if I remember correctly, there is a little "plate" inside the tailgate that they go into that is not attached to anything. I tried adding one to my 08, still sitting on a shelf in the garage, could never figure it out.

  20. I tried the expensive stuff. This brand is my favorite. The flavored variety. I absolutely hate Crown Royal. I actually like margaritas the best not the calories. So flavored whisky and brandy. At the casino it’s Brandy Alexander. Keeps my blood sugar in check playing cards.

  21. My truck was also missing 5 or 6 plugs in the rear wheel wells when I bought it new. I priced them at the dealer and they were $5 each. I bought a bag of 200 on Amazon for the price of 6 from the dealer. They are a 13/16” Caplugs brand.

  23. They could all be blowing smoke that’s the problem. We are all speculating. We’re sucking in information and unfortunately picking sides. Nobody wants to back a failure. I want it to work. It seems older people are less affected. I’m reading and seeing on the television women of child bearing age having complications. Young athletes having heart problems. Etc. I generally resist most meditation. I have to be hurting to take a Tylenol even. I’m pretty healthy I’m going to stay away from this stuff. Luck to people who participate. I’ve seen the the results of a doctors best guess. I’m still hauling my wife to physical therapy once a month six years after routine surgery. And five corrective surgeries. Just lost my dental hygienist, wife of my dentist. Had routine surgery and got sepsis. My daughter at two had an infection in her neck from a bug bite. Unfortunately it was on the weekend the doctor on call said it was mumps. The problem was she had a fever. The doctor like his booze. You don’t get fever with mumps. My wife at 22 years old questioned the doctor saving my daughter. She was actually the one who said to me no more shots, I don’t like what I’m reading. She much smarter than me. When her red flag goes up I pay attention. She’s rarely wrong. I’ve seen the results for close to fifty years.

  24. Mine isn't capless, but I replaced that missing plastic retaining rivet within a week of purchasing my truck; after the first time fueling it up. No need to order GM parts and wait for them to arrive; your FLAPs carries them.

  25. Just a FYI, I put a spray paint can cover over the Capless fuel filler to keep water & dirt from going into the gas tank.

  26. 22 was the first year of the ZR2. I have a 21 Custom TB so the ZR2 wasn't even announced when I ordered mine. I already have the 6.2 with the 10 speed. The DSSV shocks would make it equal and not have all the future problem laden electronic dash. I have thought about trading mine for a ZR2 but the price difference is not worth the extra $25K+ I'd have to spend to step up to a ZR2.

  28. Evan Williams Bottled in Bond Mash Bill: 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley A four-year-old 100 proof Kentucky Bourbon. $15-$20 a fifth. Inexpensive &Tasty. Drink the neck and shoulders off this bottle without a water back and you will know it. I have my everyday bourbons then I have my "Sunday Sippers'." This is that. Sophisticated enough to serve company and cheap enough that nearly anyone can afford it. It will not embarrass you nor force you to choose a lesser drink on cost. Surprise! It's more consistent than their 1783. Richer than the Black Lable.

  29. I know very little about HPL because I retired in 2020 after 40 + years in the business. Since that retirement I have run away from all things labs and consulting so I can clear my head....and heal body and soul. Seriously Bobs stroke and Tony's untimely death made me realize as a veteran I needed to pull back a bit from running 100 mph a day. LOL Leslie Rudnick ( last I knew a chem professor at Pennstate) and Ron Shubkin ( etyhl corp last I was aware which is a long time ago) , co- wrote a book on syn lubes and additives and Les did a lot of editing of oil additives books over the years. I think Les is consulting now out of AZ in his later years. Not sure about Ron probably like Ted Selby who I lost last year is headed to the great beyond. PLEASE DO sample your oil and share it with the group. No one is marketing here but wants good product. I highly suggest using a site sponsors ( @Black02Silverado) oil analysis service so we can see testing that is science based and standardized not piecemeal. Cheers

  30. Mine, a standard bed. 119" wheelbase. A regular hobbyhorse. But I love it. Wife and I call a RCSB, a "short-short". And yes, a good set of shocks took that nasty little trait away.

  31. Interesting, my previous work truck was a 2016 Regular Cab, 8' bed. And it never behaved anywhere like this. The suspension on my 2022 is definitely really soft compared to my 2016 though. I think a decent set of shocks will definitely resolve most of the squirrlley rear end.

  35. It's not a matter of it will leak but when. They have been using lines that leak for decades now, what's new is some of them blowing out completely and causing the engine to be damaged.

  36. Finally got my setup installed and couldn’t be happier with how it looks! Ready-Lift 2” SST for TB Fuel Zephyr matte black 17” wheels Amp Terrain Pro AT 315/70/17 now, I will say I have an extremely small amount of rub at full lock, so I’ll have to get small spacers for the front to push them out a tad more. Other than that, no issues so far!
