  1. Ok I appreciate it, just got done driving on the thruway and was going 70mph and it was holding at 197 degrees. I feel like the tranny temperature is tied to the engine coolant temp because it warms up really fast. I know the 2.7 has a faster warm up bypass for the transmission, I wonder if there is programing that can disable that. I will say this engine definitely gets better mpg than my 5.3 so far. Im averaging 24mpg so far.
  2. I bought a 2020 Silverado 2.7 turbo that has the 8 speed transmission. While driving the truck home from dealership I noticed that the transmission temperature was running 195 degrees with light stop and go traffic and country roads for about 20 miles. My 2019 Silverado 5.3 with 8 speed would not go above 160 degrees. Im concerned that once I pull my 5,000 pound trailer that its going to run even hotter. My 5.3 would not go over 185 while pulling the 5,000 pound trailer. Should I be concerned with these temperatures? Thank you
