2016 Silverado 1500 custom Hopefully they fit. 2 inch leveling kit up front. Pre runner bumper. Rears stock. Got -38 mm wheels coming in. 17x9. Shipped today. should look good. much debated topic I didn’t see anything on the size either. I’ll be that guy. It should fit nicely I’m thinking. It’s a 33.8x12.2r17 ordered today. 11/2

Hello, I’m thinking about putting a six inch lift from superlift on my 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4wd, extended cab. My question today is what would be the recommended wheel size (both tire and rim) for this setup and I’d like it to preferably stick out on the side a bit but it’s not needed. I know many run 35” but again I’m not sure.

Can any give some insight on which wires are connected to which speakers on the green plug. I have attached a picture. There are a total of 10 wires and I’m assuming they are (LF+/-)(RF+/-), (RR+/-), (LR+/-) 12V and ground but do not know which goes to where. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Found a lovely deal for a chevy 2016 - LT Z71 - V5.3 This is my first truck and looking to lift it. found a good price for Rough Country lift kit - 3.5 inch BILSTEIN 5100: https://psp.ae/product/bilstein-performance-shocks-15/ Rough Country KIT: https://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-275-8.html Many people been complaining about how cheap the rough country shocks are, so I was thinking is it possible to install Bilstein 5100 shocks kit on this kit? or would they not fit into these? This way I would lift the truck + level it + have some what better shocks I thought about selling the Rough Country shocks instead Your thought and experience are much appreciated!

305 70 17 2 inch spacers front. ordered -38 mm offset wheels pre runner front bumper trimmed inner fender to metal line just ordered a 3 inch rear block lift with new shocks. should be able to pull it off. May throw on a 1.5 inch body lift. not sure how I feel about the NorCal mod. stay tuned!

I am about to change the rear differential fluid on my 2016 Silverado. I went to the dealer to get the fluid (75W-85 special new fluid, supposedly "High Efficiency"). The dealer was unable to give me the volume spec for the fluid to fill it back up. I have seen both 2 liters and 2.6 liters required. Seeing as to how the fluid costs $22 a liter from the dealer, I don't want to buy 3 liters if I only need 2. Can anyone help clear this up/set me straight??? -
Hello! I have taken my truck to a couple shops but no one can seem to find what wrong with it. When I come to a stop, my truck acts like it wants to stall out. It doesn't happen all the time but it is becoming more frequent. When stopping, the rpms die, all my gauges drop to zero and all my warning lights flash at me and turn back off. I don't have a check engine light on and when my truck is scanned, there are no codes that come up. I have been told that it is possibly bad torque converter solenoids but I have a weird feeling that I might have some electrical gremlins somewhere. There have been times where I am driving down the road and I go to make sure my windows are rolled up and the gauges due while rolling and my electrics cut out for a second and come back on. There was also once where a truck pulled out down the road from me so I applied the brake to give them room and my truck downshifted hard and jumped to 3500 rpm and felt incredibly sluggish to get back on gas and up to speed. Any help or any direction to a fix is greatly appreciated. Please help me find out what's wrong with my truck! Thank you!

I purchased a 2021 Silverado Z71 in April, and I love it, but an odd quirk with the infotainment system. Each time I get in my truck, with the same cell phone I always carry, I cannot make a voice activated call for up to 5 minutes. The response is always "please wait, I am loading your contacts". Why does the system load my contacts each time I get it the vehicle? Is there any way to have it store the contacts and not upload every time? Is it supposed to do this? -
Hello All, New to this site, just bought a new 2021 Silverado LT Trail Boss a few weeks ago. One of the first things I am doing to this truck is upgrading the few halogen bulbs that GM decided to keep on it. The Rear backup and license plate lights all went super smooth, no issue. But when I went to remove the front blinker bulb from the housing I was faced with a different configuration than what I've seen. The place where you would normally find the circular grip for twisting out the bulb has a small hex head there in place, and it does not look to actually come apart (Please see attached picture). I think that I might have a different blinker than what normally comes with this trim (and I think it may already be LED) but I am unable to find anything online that resembles or mentions this configuration. I am only able to find the typical bulb backing which does not match mine. Does anyone have insight to this or possibly know what kind of blinker I have? I have included a picture of the back of the blinker as well as the light housing itself as I think it too looks slightly different than others I have seen. Thanks in advance! -
I am in the process of wiring in my dashcam to my 2008 Sierra 1500 SLT to only be on when the ignition is on. There are no ignition switch fuses in my drivers side fuse box so as I see it I have 2 options : 1). Use one of the ignition switch fuses on under hood fuse box. The ones I have found (according to the manual) are : - Transmission Controls - Airbag System - Misc, Cruise Control - Aux Climate Control - Engine Control Module Can I pick any of these to use as I am using a fuse tap? I was thinking Aux Climate Control. 2). Tap into the RAP relay used for the audio system. However I can't find the relay (not in the manual) and I'm not sure how to tap into this without cutting wires. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have included a photo of my (under hood) fuse box cover if that helps. -
I am wondering what is the biggest size tire I can fit on the stock 18" rim that came with my truck. I currently have Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires 265/65r18 on my truck that came stock. Is there a possibility of squeezing a 275 under it with the same aspect ratio without having to level out the front? Any help is appreciated.

I have 2014 Silverado and went to the gas station one morning and out of nowhere started smelling gas inside of the truck. Long story short, went to look underneath truck and had a 3x3 ft size puddle of fuel underneath truck on ground. Looked to see where it was coming from and looks like it’s coming from back side of motor. Can anyone help or recommend any action to take from this? -
Dear All, I've changed the original belt driven radiator cooling fan in my GMC Sierra 2004 to an electrical driven type and want to know what is the best alternator to install to overcome the amp loss without adding/modifying alt. bracket/holder or wiring connections please? Regards, -
Welcome to my build! Started with a 2019 Silverado 1500 LTZ 4wd 5.3L, which I bought with 9k miles on her in August of 2020. Got a crazy good deal on it, justified me driving to Georgia from Houston to pick it up. It even came with the Ranch Hand front bumper on it already, other than that she was stock. Little bit of background on my past trucks, I've been fortunate to own quite a few: 07 JK Wrangler, 08 Silverado 1500 LT Z71, 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Z71, 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT w/ 6.2L, 2016 Denali 2500 Duramax, 2017 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71, and finally my 2019 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71. I also have my 2015 ZL1 Camaro for a little bit of fun on the side, my wife has gone off to German side and is rocking her Porsche Cayenne. So here's the current list of mods: 4" Zone Lift kit w/ Fox rear shocks 35x11.50's Nitto Terra Grapplers on stock 20's Front and back Ranch Hand bumpers Hooker Blackheart Cat-back exhaust utilizing factory dual tips K&N Series 63 cold air intake Rough Country Automatic drop down steps Camlocker Tool box Front windows tinted to match back factory tint Front windshield tint strip Chevy All-Weather floor liners Stubby antenna Just went on a shopping spree of sorts and this is what I've got on order: Boost auto parts auto fog mod Putco Blade LED Tailgate Light Bar w/ Putco wiring harness All LED bulbs; replacing turn signals, license plate lights, and reverse lights. And the GRAND finale, King 2.5 PRS coilovers The list of things to come in the near future: High Country cluster from White Audio and Media, had their Tahoe cluster in my 2017 and it was fantastic! Waiting to order the rear King Resi PRS shocks until my checkbook bounces back a little bit. Lol Going to be putting on several LED light bars and maybe a pod or two, going to do my best to blend them into the Ranch Hands and make them as non conspicuous as possible. I'm strongly considering doing a Dyno tune w/ Kooks long tubes as well. Going to be doing ceramic tint all the way around. Limo on back windows and back glass, 15% on front windows, and 35% on the front windshield. I've got a drop in plastic bed liner that drives me crazy, so I'll more than likely go ahead and get the bed sprayed. Things I'm considering: Looking into changing up the rims and trying to clear 37's when the time comes for new tires. Blacking out the badges? Still not sold on this one... Turbo or a supercharger kit? This one would be way down the line though. Anything else that catches my attention, let me know if you can come up with anything! Here is the truck from stock:

Good morning everyone, I recently purchased a 2018 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLT All-Terrain package. I'm personally wanting to install a leveling kit and I believe I've selected one. I've read a lot about leveling kits for 2017-18 trucks and this seems like a great kit. However, there isn't many reviews on this product by ReadyLift. The appeal of this lift is the UCA replacements and the <2" height it allows. I'm wanting to go with 305/55/20 or 285/60/20 tires with my stock AT wheels and I want as much clearance possible. I found maybe 2-3 members on here with this lift and I'll quote them below. My question is, will this work with my All-Terrain package? In the description of the kit it states, "Will not work on Z71 packaged vehicles with factory Rancho® struts." Yet on ReadyLift's website, there is nothing supporting that statement. Does anyone have any information or review for this kit? Thanks! -
I have a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4wd with the 4L60-e 4 speed transmission. Currently I have no speedometer and despite the transmission shifting very well, it skips second gear consistently (no intermittent functioning). This is the ONLY gear that it has issues with (reverse and the rest of the gears are good). Here is the story... I bought this truck being told the transmission was shot. Initially it would not shift past 1st and also had a functioning reverse. I had the tranny swapped with an equivalent from a suburban. It improved slightly but still there is no speedometer or second gear. NO ENGINE CODES have come up throughout this entire time including prior to tranny being swapped (this includes no ABS lights). Here are the different problems I have found on the internet that I have tried to rule out: VSS- A mechanic with a good computer states that all 3 Vehicle Speed Sensors read correct speeds in real time on the road Ignition switch- Already changed Fuses/relays- All appear to be intact and functioning Dash cluster- broken connections fixed restoring all function besides speedometer Transmission treatment- Lucas treatment put in in case this could be a sticky solenoid to no avail Grounds- All appear to be in excellent condition and no frayed wires visible Low Voltage- New battery in place Help me out! What I can see as being my next options are either changing out the ECU or the wiring harness, neither of which I am desiring to do. Any recommendations from your experience that I may have missed in my internet reading? -
Hi everyone, new to the forum here and haven't seem to be able to find an answer after searching. Purchased a 2020 1500 AT4 last summer(love the truck), and recently added the Firestone Ride-Rite kit to the rear(kit #2609). I also ordered the 2" spacer kit as recommended (kit #2366). I'm having a bit of a problem with the install and was wondering if anyone else has added rear air bags to their AT4, and did you end up using the spacer or were you fine without it? Problem is the air bags are slightly misaligned, and appear "under-inflated" with the spacer in there even when I have 10-20psi in them(there is about 500lbs in/on the box via a canopy and a Decked box system installed in the bed; I'd rather not have to try and remove these unless I absolutely need to, to diagnose the problem). I know in the instructions it says to have 5.5-6.5" of space between the upper and lower mounts. So my next plan is to jack up the back of the truck enough via the hitch receiver to recreate the correct factory fender gap front to back(should be roughly 1.5" from the factory with no load if I'm no mistaken?), and then measure the distance between the new mounts. Thoughts and/or someone who has added rear airbags to their AT4? I'd assume the Trail Boss would be very similar? Cheers -

Hello, I am hoping that you can help me diagnose what is causing a hesitation on my truck when accelerating from a stop. It sometimes also hesitates when shifting at low speeds 10-30mph Truck Specs 2014 silverado 1500 WT 4.3L V6 locking rear end 32,000 miles no codes, using bluedriver scanner red Problem two weeks ago truck took two tries to start never done this before has not happened again last week truck started hesitating on acceleration from stop every time rpms drop from 1500ish to 500ish and then jump back up and truck accelerates I have attached one of the drive logs where you can see the fuel rail pressure drastically change when the engine rpm drops You can see the seven times the truck hesitated at the drops in the graph Started logging other items to see what is happening and found this spike in the temp sensor, attached picture also. intake temp sensor is yellow line and engine rpm is blue line. I highly doubt the temperature actually went from 55F to 135F during my commute. What I have done Checked transmission fluid, truck level and hot. Fluid in the dashed good zone between the holes. No burnt smell. Found the strange temp reading. Truck off Unplugged the mass air flow sensor and drove around large parking lot. Hesitation completely gone truck drive normally for 5 min. Check engine light off. Truck off Plug in mass air flow sensor and drive around parking lot again. Hesitation back Check engine light on with codes for MAF unplugged. Thought MAF was the issue. Bought new MAF and air filter Installed MAF and air filter Problem gone on test drive for 15min, truck fine, no codes. Next day, hesitation is back, no codes Realize I need help. Post on forum. I'm sure I have left out some important information, just let me know and I'll try to answer. I greatly appreciate the help. Thank you. -

Please Im hoping anyone might have some advice. I have a 1999 chevy silverado 1500 with 5.3L. I am getting the code p1415. I got this code when it was on non-op 4years ago now I'm ready to fix. It popped up with o2 sensor codes in which I changed 2 so far. And now I'm back to the p1415 after changing both check valves and feeling air blow through the pump. Right now I'm a little lost on what I should do next

So I bought a 2019 GMC Sierra elevation from a dealer in town here. Was told is has the 2” factory installed suspension lift and nothing more. But after a week or so I decided to look into a leveling kit, watched a couple vids online and noticed how some kits can go under the damper? out of curiosity I wanted to squeeze my head behind my tire and take a look only to notice what looked like an already installed 2” level. can someone help me identify if that is a leveling kit installed in the picture I attached? Also if so, why isn’t the truck level? Is the rear block too big?

Looking to get a decent set of chains/other traction device for my Silverado. I have P265/65/R18 size tires and the owners manual says to not use chains with this size tire as there isn't enough clearance and you risk damage to the vehicle. It also says "Use another type of traction device only if its manufacturer recommends it for use on the vehicle and tire size combination" My question is... has anybody out there found a manufacturer/model of chains where the manufacturer recommends it for this tire size on a 1500?
