  1. I just replaced the plastic lense in front of instrument panel and had to reset my speedometer needle because I moved it on accident. I had it set properly at the zero mark with the truck turned on to accessory mode. The speed is maybe 2 mph off. After I turn the truck off and open the door the gauge goes past zero to its resting spot but it bounces back and forth a couple times before resting. Should I try reseting it or does anyone of a better way to do so. Any help is appreciated
  2. So i have a 2021 Silverado Custom and Ive been wanting to upgrade my clusters and Steering wheel. I see alot of people saying it the Audio controls dont work because of the radio but from what I've seen there are LT trims that also have IOR radios(like the customs and w/t) and Steering wheel controls. With that being said, then the wiring is possible for steering wheel audio controls to work, no? and if the clusters are swapped as well, wouldnt the steering wheel be able to connect to the new clusters?
  3. Found out I need to replace my fuel system control module In my 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 , I bought the truck which has a after market turbo charger in it but if there is a tune on the truck and the FSCM needs to be programmed to the vin number will it still work properly if I install a new one like that ? Or will I need to get the new fuel module programmed differently ? I also am under the idea that it may be the reason the last one went anyway
  4. New to the forum and I’m looking for some help. I have a 2014 Sierra that I’m taking to get a 4” readylift and 35/12.5/22 trail grapplers installed. Im keeping my stock 22” flakes. The lift company says I will need spacers for stock wheels. But Idk what size should I run. I do not want to trim my studs!!
  5. I just picked up at 2021 Silverado. I lifted the front end with a jack to get an idea of how it would look leveled. After seeing the picture, I'm contemplating keeping the stock 17" wheels and putting 33" tires on it. Has anybody done this?
  6. Posting my aftermarket tail lights from my used 2016 Silverado. bought LTZ tails from a member here, took these off as they were installed when i bought the truck last year. no damage, have had 0 issues with water or condensation. actually love these tails but id rather have the LTZ factory lights installed. light output is great. had them on a LTZ truck so im guessing these are the models for the LED trucks and im not sure if they will be 100 percent compatible with a 2014or 15 application. In any case there are threads here to make your own resistors or people who make harnesses if you run into problems, but i never did. willing to ship at buyers expense, but send a PM with a zip code so i can figure out cost of shipping to you. otherwise we could probably meet if nearby to DENVER, GOLDEN, or LITTLETON COLORADO. I'm posting this on the forum, local craigslist and other apps/sites just to move these quickly, but if they are sold elsewhere ill update the post as soon as possible. Would like to get 300 out of em but I'm also realistic so send me an offer and we can go from there. Thanks for taking a look at the ad, have a good day!
  7. As stated, I have an 05 1500 silverado 5.3 v8 4x4 4L60e. It's got a bunch of electrical issues, ie. Dome lights only stay on for maybe a second or 2 when I open my driver door with the truck on or off, speakers going in and out, gear indicator lights only work and come on in the evening when the automatic headlights come on, every couple thousand miles my service 4wd light comes on but my 4wd actually works... The problem I am most concerned about now is my front driver side brake. No lights are on on the dash. It is not releasing. I have put a new caliper, rotor, pads, wheel hub assembly, CV axle, wheel speed sensor... lots of stuff. My thought is that the issue is related to the abs system. My brake seems to release properly when I pull the abs fuse out. Brake fluid is fine. As this is a newer issue, my parts are all in good enough condition. Does anyone have any experience with this particular issue with the aforementioned symptoms? And does anyone have an idea how to fix said issue if it is electrical? I'm going to possibly try a new caliper tomorrow and re grease my slide bolts depending on what my scan tool finds.
  8. Trying to install an output converter for a sub install. through reading in the other threads they talk about a white blue/black wire for the right speaker i don't seem to have those wires it is a non bose system
  9. So I recently purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra and I have the jump seat configuration Id like to switch to the jump seat to a center console and I was wondering has anyone done that on a 2019 or a 2020 GM truck already? I feel this is a do-able modification to my vehicle but Im looking to see what I would need to do. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.
  10. So I am at a loss here. I have had an issue with my 2012 Silverado 1500 LT where cylinder 1 eats spark plugs for whatever reason. No big deal I just keep a spare and swap them when I need. That’s happened 3 times since I’ve owned it. The other day I am on the highway running probably 75 when it started running rough, tapping and the check light started flashing. The tapping was like a pen on a desk not a knock. I pulled right off and checked the oil and no. 1 plug. Oil was a lil low and I swapped the plug but the problem persisted. I drove it another 15 miles doing 55 and the light changed to solid and the misfires and tapping went away. I still have a light on solid reading the codes p0300, p0466, and p0300. I am inclined to change plugs and wires along with an oil change. I still have oil life left and is full synthetic and I did plugs and wires a few years ago. Has anyone had similar experiences?
  11. All parts came off 2017 Silverado LTZ 4x4 with 15K miles. Located in Los Angeles. Would prefer local pick-up but will ship if buyer pays for shipping. Front strut assembly with 2.5 in Motofab leveling kit installed (Pair) - $150 obo - SOLD OE Rear Shocks (Pair) - $50 obo OE Front Knuckles (Pair) - $50 obo
  12. So, I have been having this sound coming from the front right wheel. I thought it was the wheel bearing but it doesn't really sound like it too much to me. I thought to maybe grease the fittings as well but I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this problem before. Thanks! (Skip to the end for a better sound). New Recording 7.m4a
  13. 2017 sierra A/T crew cab I have the most annoying tick noise over bumps, coming from the b pillar behind my left ear and it is driving me brick house, I've pulled at the trim off put my hands on everything made sure everything is tight, stuff rags in between contact points, I've run out of ideas, anyone have an guidance for me, I'm a ex gm technician of 5 years , I know what I'm doing but of course my own truck baffles me..per usual any new bulletins or tsbs?
  14. So I bought a used 2014 Sierra SLT All Terrain knowing there were certain aspects that weren’t exactly what I wanted but choosing to sacrifice for mileage and overall package. One of those was that the bumper does not have corner steps by the tailgate. This is proving to be more of a pain than I though especially considering when my current tires are worn I’m swapping to much larger tires and possible a lift. Anybody have ideas or advise on swapping the bumper? Best I’ve seen eBay and a body shop respraying in my body color is best. Am I right?
  15. I recently noticed that my brake pedal adjustment switch is not causing my pedals to adjust once the switch is activated. The height between my brake pedal and gas pedal is pretty significant. Is there a specific fuse that I should try replacing or something else I could try before bringing to a mechanic? I recently had to have my booster replaced so I am uncertain if the system was reconfigured correctly. Any help is appreciated.
  16. This morning I started the truck up and I could see the lights on the dash were flickering like there wasn't enough power, and then the battery light popped on. I restarted the truck and the problem went away, was headed to work so figured I would look at it later. Drove to town with no issues, then parked, when I went to put it in reverse, it died and the battery light popped again. Started it up and no problems. Got to work and parked, and it stumbled like it was going to die, then recovered but all the electrical shut off, like the radio restarted, and the voltage meter was reading low(it usually fluctuates between 14 and 15.5ish, this was around 11. Restarted and now it seems fine again. Battery is about 3 years old, alternator is maybe a year and a half. Not sure what to start looking at for intermittent issues like this.
  17. I BOUGHT A 2012 silverado 2500 in facebook marketplace but the person who had it didnt have the hardware/clips/bolts to put it together. He ziptied it together, I NEED HELP FINDING WHERE I CAN BUY ALL THE HARDWARE to assemble it properly! IN THE IMAGINE I CIRCLED WHAT I NEED
  18. Hey guys, I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 recently bought spyder aftermarket headlights. Having trouble removing the (pigtail connector) from GM. I’ll attached photos. For the life of me I cannot remove the connection due to fat hands and the location of the connection. Has any one upgrade their halogen Oem tailLights to led aftermarket. Part # (Removed) 84752979 any help is Greatly appreciate
  19. Hey ya'll I just upgraded and got a 2020 AT4 and want to protect those seats from damage due to having a car seat installed in the back. Any recomendations on what I could put under the car seat to prevent the booster seat from creating a permanent indention? I appreciate any opinions or experience!
  20. I just bought a 2020 Silverado 1500 with a Duramax 3.0L. Eventually I plan to buy a travel trailer to pull behind it. I would like to hear from similar owners about their experiences travel trailering. How big is your trailer? Weight? Comments and experiences? Thanks.
  21. Just plasti dipped my badges on 2020 Silverado RST 1500. 5 coats of matte black and 1 coat of glossifier. Waited 15-20 min between coats. Super simple to do. Let me know if you have any questions. BTW the tailgate Chevrolet lettering is BD Trims domed letter inserts, black with red outline.
  22. Where can I get the best advise/information about a false theft/no start multi-module shut down on my 2017 Silverado 1500?
  23. We have a 2014 Chevy Silverado and when our lights automatically come on we have no right rear signal and it’s like the brake light is engaged. Signal works perfectly fine during the day when lights aren’t on. It’s currently in the shop but just called saying they are about 3 hours in and need more time which of course equals more money. Anyone else have this issue!?
  24. If you guys are looking for an alternative, Lasfit just came out with new floor liners that are really nice for 2019+ Crew Cabs with the under rear seat storage box. They are running a Father's Day special right now where you get $50 off the $149 price with free shipping using code FORDAD-2 at checkout, so you can get front and rear floor liners for $100 plus tax and they are great quality. (The back is one piece that goes all the way across) Here's a link to Lasfit's site: http://lddy.no/msyj
