  1. I am looking into replacing my bench seat with a full center console in my 2019 GMC Sierra SLE. Is this something that is possible? Any information to help me get started would be great.
  2. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 5/18/2018 As it turns out, the leaked figures for the 2019 5.3L and 6.2L V8 engines wasn't far off. That's the good news. The bad news is the SAE certified horsepower and torque will match 2018's numbers exactly. But that doesn't mean the 2018 and 2019 engines are the same. Instead of the 2018's Active Fuel Management, which allows the engine to switch between four and eight cylinders, the 2019 V8's have Dynamic Fuel Management. DFM can adjust the firing cylinders in up to 17 different ways. Theoretically, that shoul
  3. Extang Encore Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau cover for 2019 -2020 GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado with 6.5' bed. In good shape. Needs new front lock because it is keyed for my truck. Sold locally Located in Thousand Oaks, CA. https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Extang/EX28620162-28.html https://extang.com/encore-tonno
  4. I’m planning on upgrading my gear ratio from 3.42 to 4.10 on my 2019 custom trail boss. I want to put a 4-6 lift on my truck from BDS with fox shock coilovers With 35 inch tires maybe 37’s but before that I want to regear my truck so that I don’t lose any power. Do y’all think 4.10 gears are good enough for should I go for like 4.55’s? If anyone has re geared there 2019’s and up please let me know the prices and gear shifting experiences.
  5. Here is a little extra information I found on from GM TechLink with tips and details regarding the lift points on the new T1 GM trucks. Newdude posted something similar in the frame issues topic a while back. I just thought I would add a little extra to that information. Lift Points TIP: Prior to servicing the vehicle using a lift hoist, the vehicle power assist steps must be disabled to prevent accidental activation. Use lift pads/spacers to provide proper clearance between the lift hoist arms and the vehicle’s fixed or power assist steps. After servicing the vehi
  6. I recently installed the upgraded digital dash in our LTZ that did not have it thanks to White Automotive and Media Services. The process turned out to be quite a bit more daunting than I had expected. I had found a few posts (here and another better start here) that talked about upgrading the gauge cluster, however I could not find any specific step by step instructions to gain access. Here's the obligatory "After" photo showing our new gauge cluster! With plenty of reasons for everyone to access the radio, center console, and gauge cluster, I thought a
  7. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 3/5/2018 With the debut of GMC's all new and very fancy MultiPro Tailgate last week in Detroit questions have been floated regarding various aspects of the design and how available the tailgate will truly be. So, we reached out to GMC directly and have some answers for you. Here we are in no particular order: Will the MultiPro be available on any trim level other than SLT and Denali? YES. Although only the SLT and Denali trim levels were mentioned last week, we can confirm the MultiPro tailgate will be available on the SLE trim l
  8. I understand this topic has been around for some time, but I recently purchased a 2019 Silverado LD (same body style as the 2014-2018 models). When I look for aftermarket mods/information, I have been referencing the 2018 model year. In particular, my Silverado is a 2019 LD LT Z71, Double Cab, Midnight Edition w/ the All Star package (a lot to digest there!). The mods I have done in no particular order of completion are: 2" Zone Leveling Kit Rough Country rubber bed mat Driver & passenger window tint (35%) Upgraded to LED bulbs in cargo, reverse and license pla
  9. After 1 month of owning my new 2019 AT4 without any issues, I had the Nav SD card not installed error. The next day, the nav system went through s long loading process. Since then, with every vehicle startup, I now have a 10-25 second process of the nav system loading before it can be used. Previously, it was always nearly instantaneous. Also, the radio will be randomly self-muted. I brought it to the dealer last week and they did an infotainment system software update claiming to have fixed the problem. Nope, it’s still taking 10-20 seconds to load navigation and the radio was muted this morn
  10. I was hoping y’all could help me on my decision. I have a 2019 custom trail boss 5.3 with AFM 6 speed. I called the local dealership here and asked how my warranty would be effected if I disable the AFM. They told me “as long as that tune didn’t cause the damage of whatever i bring the truck in for all is well.” So they recommended me to a local tuner here in town which was surprising. I called him and he said to disable my AFM it would cost around 500. I do know about the range device but I don’t want to to deal with the battery issues it can cause if you mistakenly leave it plugged in. My ot
  11. Hey guys hoping y’all could give me some insight on the custom trail boss 5.3 6 speed 3.42 gears with it’s towing if anyone has this model and tows with it let me know how it felt to y’all. I’m going to tow my buddies jeep Cherokee to His home state which is about 700 miles. Will probably go through some hills and mountains in TN. Does the the power train struggle with towing because of the 32 inch durratracs?
  12. Did you know you can upgrade your gauge cluster in your 2014-2020 Silverado or Sierra? We recently did just that on our 2019 Silverado LTZ which came from the factory with a "mid-level" gauge cluster. Click here to read our review of the White Automotive and Media Gauge Cluster Upgrade https://www.gm-trucks.com/white-automotive-upgrade-heres-how-to-add-a-digital-gauge-cluster-to-your-silverado-or-sierra/
  13. Ever since my last oil change and recall service to the brake pad sensors, I have been hearing a frequent double popping noise on the right side of my truck, seemingly favoring the front wheel area. This noise is impossible to forcibly repeat, however, like clockwork it always occurs twice (two double pops) on my way to and from work (and yes, the road is absolutely smooth, no bumps or pot holes to cause this). This typically occurs at around 60mpg and every 5-10 miles. Everyone I have talked to including the service department at my local GM have no clue what is going on. The truck will be go
  14. Alright everyone... now that we've seen what the all new Sierra will look like, I think it's time for a good ol fashion'd vote down. Which truck do you like best? Which one would you buy? Which design do you like better? There can be only one! Place your vote now. VERSUS and of course, this is all just for good fun.
  15. 2019 GMC Canyon all terrain bought in July 2019 with 12000km on it has clicking noise in drivers side between doors around seat belt adjuster (B- pillar area). Had the truck to two separate dealerships 7 times altogether with no success after the dealer trying different things including: 1.Replaced rear side door arm rest cover trim 2.Center pillar upper trim panel replaced 3.Replaced clips in door 4.Replaced power door lock actuator (which was very loose according to them) 5.Replaced all door weather striping. Not something you would expect from a new truck. An
  16. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 8/13/18 Last week I traveled to Wyoming for an opportunity to drive the 2019 Silverado in a variety of situations, trim levels and engine/transmission combinations. Chevrolet was finally ready to let third party experts behind the wheel and I was ready to take them up on the offer. Things I Liked About The 2019 Silverado Butter smooth engines A smaller, more responsive driving feel Designed for function and usability above all A chassis ready take a beating Things I didn'
  17. This is an RST.... not our LTZ that has been vacationing in Indiana this month... Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 8/26/18 We got really excited when the 2019 Silverado LTZ we ordered in May was built at the beginning of this month. We had assumed that since baby blue was off the line and marked at GM Event Code 4000 (Available To Ship) that our new pickup would head our way quickly. Turns out we couldn't have been more wrong. Our 2019 Silverado has sat in the parking lot of the Fort Wayne truck plant for the last twenty days since it was mark
  18. Do the 2019 GM Step Assists fit the 2014-2018 model years? Trying to figure out if the 2019 Sport Steps will fit my 2016 Silverado. Thanks.
  19. I would like to change the regular bulbs in my Front turn signals on my RST to LEDs. Does anyone know what bulbs these are (they are marked 855)? Any recommendations on LED's that won't require resistors?
  20. I discovered this problem while trying to pull into parking spaces; that when the 4WD is engaged I cannot turn the wheel all the way left or right without disengaging the transmission and revving the engine. This has led to several near-accidents in busy parking lots full of holiday shoppers when I suddenly stop moving and have to put my hazard flashers on mid-turn. I then put it in 2WD and park. The work-around I have come up with is to put it in 2WD after entering a lot but before trying to park, which is first off ridiculous and also not always realistically possible. I apologize if someone
  21. Just wondering if anyone knows what the largest tire is you could fit on an 18” rim on a 2019 Sierra with stock suspension? Currently it sits on the stock 265 65 r18’s. Wondering if 275 70 r18’s would fit perhaps?
  22. Having just passed 10k miles this week, I thought I would offer my opinion on how I feel about the truck so far. Background: I special ordered my LT Trail Boss back in May 2018 and picked it up in September 2018. I have almost every option that you can order on it except the sunroof (would have delayed my production at the time). My truck was built the very first week of production (7/09/2018) and is one of only a small handful of Red Silverados, if not the only one, to receive the Gideon/Dark Atmosphere leather interior as that color was changed to not an option for Red Sil
  23. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 6/29/2018 Even with an all new dynamic fuel management system, the 2019 Silverado equipped with a 5.3L or 6.2L engine won't see any better fuel economy then their 2018 predecessor. Today Chevrolet released more information on what the 2019 Silverado will cost and what fuel economy we'll see. Here's the new chart.. 2019 CHEVROLET SILVERADO CAPABILITIES 4.3L V-6 w/AFM (6-spd.) 5.3L V-8 w/AFM (6-spd.) 2.7L I-4 Turbo w/A
  24. OnStar sucks!!! It's been 2 weeks since I've taken delivery of my truck OnStar still hasn't been able to signup my truck and now I'm halfway through my "super generous" month of a working app. I've called them 4 different times they waist about a half hour of my time then the level 2 person tells me they put in a ticket and they'll call me when it's fixed. Onstar has yet to call me back once! Absolutely unacceptable!!! Especially when you only get one month of service VS the 5 years I got with my last truck. Why am I still buying GM?
  25. What size tires should I use on my RC 3.5 inch lift on my 2019 Sierra? Big enough so they look nice on the truck and nothing to crazy maybe 30’s?
