  1. Has anyone done this yet? I know in the T1 section there's a couple threads on mounting K2 wheels on the T1 trucks, and the calipers being wider and the need for a minor spacer in the fronts. With that, going backwards, there should be plenty of clearance. Any pics? I can find K2 wheels on GMT900 and older trucks for days. I was looking at either an 18" RST set, or the 18" accessory wheel that looks like the Colorado ZR2's wheel. At this point, I'd even look at a picture of 20"s as well.
  2. Hello Everyone, I have been looking at adding a couple of cameras to my 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali. These trucks can be difficult to pull into parking spaces and lots, especially if they are smaller. I just recently raised the front end about 2-3 inches, this has made parking a even bigger challenge. Yes, when parking I try to back into most of the parking spaces, but sometimes that option isn't available. The system I have been looking at is from Echomaster, this system is listed under GM accessories and is labeled Intellihaul. The multi-camera system comes co
  3. Hello, I purchased my truck a few months ago and most of the time i need to press the button 2-5 times to drop my tailgate without any help. With a little (and i mean 5 lbs) of pulling while pressing the button it works most of the time, even then i might have to press it twice. The truck is a new body 2019 Silverado LT 4x4. It started doing this day one, i thought it might just need to work in/break in and it did not. Is anyone else having this issue? If so do you know how to fix it? I have tried with the vehicle on level ground and even then it does not work all the time
  4. Has anyone ever got a custom tune to delete the AFM on their truck? I contacted my dealership about it and they gave me a local tuners number. I understand that it could possibly void my warranty if deleting the AFM causes a problem. But has anyone deleted their AFM and had issues? As well what cost should I expect to see to have a tuner delete the AFM.
  5. Hey guys and gals I was hoping y’all could answer a question of mine. I currently own a 2019 Silverado trail boss with the 5.3 and 6 speed transmission. A mechanic told me the transmission is a ticking time bomb if I do any performance mods. Such as a cam swap and tune. So I explained my plan for the future. Cold air intake, flow master exhaust, headers, tune and cam swap. He said if I do any of the big changes to the engine the tranny may go out. The reason why is because the stock transmission was only made to handle the stock HP and TQ. Have any of y’all had an issue like this after some bi
  6. Anyone else noticing a strong burn-off chemical like smell from the exhaust every time you drive? It was quite strong the first few engine cycles and has gotten considerably better at 175 miles but is still noticeable when we get out of the truck.
  7. Anyone know if it’s easy/ possible to re-route the task lights on the mirrors so that they work regardless of the vehicle being in park? Thanks
  8. Hey all, Had noticed early on that the Denali Ultimate pre-production truck they used at the T1 reveal had different style wheels than what ended up being used on the 19's. Even the renders they used originally showed the different wheels but then later they edited them everywhere and never saw the wheels again. The Order Guide mentions the wheels changing on the Denali Ultimate for 2020, and now looking at GMC.com the original wheels they showed off to begin with are replacing the 19's. FYI for those looking to get a Denali and prefer either the 19's or 20's wheels as both are pre
  9. The AT4 I purchased from the dealer, had everything but the performance package I wanted. So, the same day, I paid the extra cost to have it added. Once it was finished, I was excited about the purchase and the way it sounded. Now, weeks later, I'm starting to get picky about things and making sure everything is how I want it. After my cousin brought it to my attention that I should've made sure all the work was actually done, I looked up what the performance package consisted of. While I can see the performance exhaust is installed--I noticed that the tires on it are not the
  10. Not really my style but I thought I would share this.
  11. Anyone else with a crew cab (or possibly other cab style) notice that while driving at speeds 55mph or higher with the rear door windows all the way down results in an almost deafening whop whop whop like or flapping type of sound that practically hurts your ears? Would be what I would call a low frequency. It gets worse the more open the windows are. My 2016 Sierra Crew did this as well, can't recall if my 2012 LTZ Crew did it or not but I think it did. Any ideas what is the culprit? I rarely drive with the rear windows down but when they are, it's maddening and almost makes my ear drums

  13. Zane Merva Executive Editor / Publisher, GM-Trucks.com 1/15/18 Earlier today, Fiat-Chrysler introduced their new 2019 RAM 1500 Pickup. We have more on the all new RAM here, but one thing caught our eye and we wanted to talk about it right away. The 2019 RAM's optional 12-inch Uconnect infotainment system. We were all happy that Chevrolet upgraded the interface of the MyLink System for the 2019 Silverado. That said, the brand didn't upgrade the screen or make it any larger than the last generation. To be fair, 8-inches is right in line with the market as it s
  14. I have just over 1,000 miles on the 2019 Trail Boss 4.3L motor. This morning for the first time I noticed the oil pressure gauge dropped to 30 when pulling into a parking spot and then sitting idle. When I revved the engine a little bit the pressure went back up to about 50-60. I have never seen it at 30, mostly stays like 40-60 range. Any cause for concern? As a reference I drove about 10 miles, mostly highway, and it is 60-64 degrees outside. What do you all get for pressure readings with your motors - maybe list idle pressure and cruising pressure with the motor type.
  15. Hey folks, just wanted to introduce myself real quick since i finally decided to join up instead of just steal all of your knowledge like I've been doing for so long. Lots of great people in here obviously, so glad to join and hopefully add to it. New to this forum, not new to chevy trucks, and picking up my new L5P on Friday out in Weatherford TX. This will be my third Duramax, stoked as hell to give the L5P a shot. Including a couple of pics the dealer sent me yesterday before finalizing the deal over the phone. To do list already: 5% tint VLED low beams Lo
  16. Thom Cannell Contributor, GM-Trucks.com February 26th, 2019 General Motors had no news in Chicago, but delivered crowd-pleasing displays from Chevrolet and GMC, as well as Cadillac and their crossovers and SUVs. Of interest to truck enthusiasts were Heavy Duty Chassis Cabs from Ram, facelifts and equipment improvements from Toyota, face-lifts for some Nissan CUVs, a new Range Rover Evoke and more. The Chicago show is immensely different from Detroit, and that is a pun. With 2.3 million square feet of display space, the result is wide-spread (and often poorly
  17. Has anyone order an additional key when you purchased a new truck? I know the truck will come with two keys included, but I would like to purchase a third key. My dealer quoted me a cost of $200 for one additional key. Does this sound reasonable? Any other sources to buy a key cheaper? Thanks!
  18. Looking for some help. I have a 2019 Crew Cab LT Trail Boss with 4,600 mi, 5.3 engine. Blew an oil cooler line a few weeks ago, drove 200ft with the blown line and shut the truck off. After telling the dealer and tow company not to start it the first thing I hear from the dealer is that the truck was stalling out as they drove it into the shop/moved it and that a nice feature on these new trucks is that the engines don't blow with low oil, they just stall out. Next day the dealer tells me that it's a blown engine. I've been telling the dealer for a week now that I want a new truck. What'
  19. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com Photos/Editing: Zane Merva, Executive Editor 3-1-2018 When the new 2019 GMC Sierra was revealed two surprises were added to the list we expected to see. The first was the MultiPro Tailgate system. The second was the CarbonPro non-metallic cargo box construction. Let's look more closely at these two exciting features found only on the 2019 GMC Sierra. MultiPro The MultiPro tailgate is a system that allows a person to do more than a typical tailgate allows. The tailgate can perform the following: - Fob or button
  20. I am planning on ordering an 2019 1500 Sierra SLT with the max trailering package. I can’t decide if I should also add the Trailer Camera Pacakge also for the extra $250. If you have the the trailer camera package is it worth it? Thanks!
  21. I ran across this for you Colorado fans. I did not dive into the configurations, but as the title suggests you can run a Colorado up over 50k This is NUTS for a " Mid-Sized " Truck. You can get a discounted Full size Silverado for less than this. Yes its a bigger truck but it is insane that smaller trucks are pushing 50k. Then again, it is NUTS that full size trucks are hitting the 70k mark (2019 High Country and Denali). Anyway, Enjoy! https://www.tfltruck.com/2018/09/2019-chevy-colorado-here-is-how-you-can-configure-it-to-over-50000-configurator/
  22. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 9/17/18 What's new with GM-Trucks.com's new project 2019 Silverado? Well, it SHIPPED. As I type, our truck is chugging along the Midwest United States via train. It's en route to a CXS Rail Yard in Selkirk, New York just barely south of Albany. Best yet, it's scheduled to arrive in two days (This Wednesday). Selkirk is only a brisk 3.5 hour drive from our dealer, so once it arrives at the yard delivery could be only a few days away. Our dealer gives the chances of us taking delivery next week as pretty high, but as w

  25. Thom Cannell Contributor, GM-Trucks.com February 5th, 2019 2019 - Last North American International Auto Show - as we've known it. Filled with sprawling displays of gleaming sheet metal and enough spotlights to illuminate the International Space Station, this was the final chilly, Detroit Auto Show in January. 2019 lacked the European media-hustle excitement, which left extra space for other exhibitors. Next year the Grand Experiment begins, moving show dates to June and using the Cobo Center rooftop and multiple venues spread throughout downtown Detroit
